We’ve been here before. Seven days ago we were waxing lyrical about the efforts of Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa – a week later, we’re at it again having seen both combine to unravel a hapless Liverpool.

Cisse’s brace took him to seven in as many games, while at the Lane, Emmanuel Adebayor confirmed himself as a rival for a slot in our squads, as he returned to goalscoring form.

Our members can now drown in the numbers from today’s games and read on for our guide to the key statistics on show in the Gameweek thus far, along with our take on the destination of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Anyone thinking of getting Sturridge for Wigan match? Ba is really pissing me off, Cisse stealing his thunder is such a pain in the arse!

Ajay you may have succeeded in talking me out of losing RvP. Think, given my rival owns BAE, getting Kaboul in to counter that and adding VdV alongside Bale may be the way to go. RvP, Rooney and Dave for the DGW with RvP maybe sitting, so I can play Barfa/Sess.

its up to you but i advise loosing rooney over rvp like i said above.

allows you to go with rvp, ade, cisse up front and maybe baines in the back with vdv and bale in mf

My brother had Clichy, Lescott, Nasri, Drenthe and Distin who all didn't play, he also had Pogreneyak who went off injured after 30mins and didn't do anything but he had Cisse(c), Larsson, Walcott and Dempsey and still has Rooney to play :s

          Kaboul was unlucky today.

More I think about it, more I think 3-5-2 may be the way to go in DGW

          Skrel, Baines, Kaboul

          Miyachi, McClean, Siggy, VdV, Bale

          Rooney, Cisse.

        why not verm to bae/walker?

one of enrique and verm will be leaving pre gw 36 to make way for baines. if baines doesn't have a double then probably cashley/terry

planning on ade, vdv, bale for my spurs 3 atm as those are two prime fixtures for attacking returns and rvp, ade, cisse up front will bring better balance to the rest of my team for those last couple weeks.

        which combo do u prefer?

vdv + baines (or cashley/terry if no everton dgw)
        sess + bae

          I already own BAE.

I may need the extra for Walcott--->Dempsey/VDV(otherwise Kaboul will be Cahill)/Mata. There is not much between BAE and Walker for price and attacking returns.

1st one for me. Baines I would like him, but may not be able to stretch that far

            ok. haha that explains it!

so you are going for kaboul, vdv, bae and no bale or ade? interesting. if you were keeping dempsey id say go with him but not sure id bring him back in for the double. would def prefer vdv of those mf options. true. except for their last dgw 😉

ok thanks. thats what im leaning for atm. just afraid because last dgw went for the attacking trio of bale, vdv, ade and wished i had gone for a defender. guess this time its a bit different though given the games will probably be higher scoring

I am going for Bale, BAE and Kaboul/VDV. I am cursed with Ade, he did nothing in my team for ages before Xmas and I am perfectly happy with my front 3 now. Kaboul/VDV will come down to my league situation then and who I want to lose - Verm or Theo.

I have not owned Dempsey at all this season! He would come in for first time for the DGW, I had BAE for that double but captained Ade. I cant get him back, never forgiven him for that 😀

Right, time to say goodbye to Mr Suarez I believe, Liverpool are abject. Is his replacement Papiss or Ade? Spurs have the fixtures but both have midfielders in the side playing equally well (HBA, VDV respectively; Bale goes without saying). Spurs have the fixtures but Newcastle are bang in-form as well and cheaper. Leaning towards Ade right now, thoughts?

makes sense. the first dgw of his is decent but the second one his fixtures are pretty bad honestly.

and someone brought up before that with 4 games so close together there could be rotation and/or fatigue...

    B. Al-Habsi to Bogdan and Pog to P. Cisse
    C. Other...

I’m leaning towards A because it frees up a bit of cash. Any thoughts appreciated!

Having all sorts of (nice) problems working out who to bench this next GW. Need to bench two of the following:

Cahill (WIG - rotation risk), Enrique (AVL), BAE (sun), Bale (sun), Walcott (MCI), McClean (Tot), Cisse (swa)

And which goalkeeper out of Vorm (NEW) or Krul (swa)

Like i say ... nice problems for a change!

Getting a bit confused about when and when not to take hits (probably stupidly but better to ask). I take hits when I think the players I bring in will outscore others in my team by 4 points or more.

An example could be I have 10 players in my team who I can field with at least some belief they will get points. If the other players in my squad I feel are destined for just 2 points maximum, I could bring in someone else to be the 11th player who I feel will pick up points. If then the player I bring in gets at least 6, and the players I chose to leave out do only get 2, have I then balanced out the hit if the player brought in got 6 and in fact made points if they get more than 6?

      Yeah, pretty much.

So when taking a hit to bring in a DGW player they are already guaranteed 4 points, so if the player you transferred out got 2, they only need 2 points, so one assist will put you in credit and more than cancel out the hit

So I was planning to hold on to Silva through gameweek 34 as a differential and field 11 players that week. But his atrocious form has made me consider either holding Dempsey at a discount in stead, or selling him for a 4 point hit. I'll definitely have Walcott in one of the two slots and I guess Sess would probably be the man if I go the hit route.

PS: I have my wildcard for the double gameweek bonanza. It just feels wrong to take a hit this late in the game when I still have my wildcard...

why would u need to take a hit for gw 34?

unless you want dempsey later on i'd get rid of dempsey and silva both and bring in walcott and sess for them. thats exactly waht im doing/have done (silva to walcott this week, and will do dempsey to sess before 34)

Well because I only have 8 gameweek 34ers (Mig/Evans/Clichy/Siggy/Valencia/Silva/Rooney/RvP) and 3 free transfers. So in order to field 11 I need to keep Silva. Of course he and Clichy might not play and then I'm down anyway...

think silva needs to go anyways and clichy could make thigns tough for you. might go with just 10 if i were you

            mig
            clichy, evans, caulker
            siggy, valencia, walcott
            rvp, rooney

then i'd either fit in a forward (yak/graham/odemwingie/long/balo/bendy) or sess

drop the yak even though he has west brom?

and it just seems hard to bench simpson and kelly given their easier fixtures. also reina out could negatively effect enrique but villa is probably the easiest of those games from a defensive standpoint huh?

really want to work McClean in to my team for GW36 (he has Bolton at home) but short of benching Siggy (WOL) Miyaichi (sun, TOT), RvP (sto) or Rooney (mci) I don't see how. I think Rooney will score in the derby, he always seems to.
