Two finishes of the highest quality finally rolled over the Rovers resistance at Ewood and saw United defy Roberto Mancini’s prediction to open up a five point gap at the top. Here’s the key stats from United’s 2-0 win, along with our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points could be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Honestly if Arsenal would have played him the way everyone else in the league knows to play him he would have continued the sh*t run. Acres of space between Walcott and Gibbs, Song pulled out on a sucker's mission on Barton, Ramsey not able to track-back...because he's generally useless, a man w/o a position literally (left wing...I think NOT). Rafael will terrorize Taarabt. I could see, if continued, the QPR pressure on creative passers being a problem. Diakite may definitely be a problem for United.

Recently he's looked more and more of a threat (not just talking about the Arsenal game). He's a confidence player and Warnock destroyed his confidence when he took away the captaincy for no reason except to sign Barton. Hughes is slowly re-building it.

There's no doubt he's a luxury player and that he can be a waste of space at times but he's still got the potential to be a great player.

When he's confident he's busy, he gained momentum and at a point, a refocus of closing him down made no difference. Hopefully SAF doesn't pull out the Matrix (Ji-Sung Park) on him or Valencia (I own him) to hawk him. I somehow think a Jamie Mackie could cause United problems as they don't play a high enough line to prevent the post-ups that Newcastle inflicted on them. I'm sure Hughes will be all over the Newcastle Jan.4th script.

Rafael was good again tonight, seems to be cementing that RB slot atm. Then again, the Olsson's didn't cause much threat tonight at all, Taarabt could be a different prospect if you lot can get a hold of the ball.

Team at the moment for GW32 (2 free transfers & 0.6m in the bank):

    Vorm(NEW)
    Enrique(AVL) Vermaelen(MCI) Evans(QPR)
    McClean(TOT) Dempsey(bol) Bale(sun) Valencia(QPR)
    Rooney(QPR) Van Persie(MCI) Suarez(AVL)
subs - Krul, Simpson, Kelly, Pilkington

Can't see all that much i want to change. Pilkington > Sigurdsson is the most obvious move i think but then who should i drop to play Siggy? One of McClean, Dempsey or Suarez i guess?

Or perhaps dump Simpson instead (seeing as i already have Krul) but then it feels like i've put off getting Siggy long enough already!

Not really. I think i've put a bit too much trust in Liverpool of late but who would you get in for Suarez if you were to sell? Cisse would have to be near the top of the list on current form but a trip to Swansea and a missing GW34 are hardly that attractive.

I'm not going to get Cisse as my biggest rival has him and that has pretty much made me hate Cisse 🙂 Really not sure I want to sell him, but Liverpool are really struggling to create chances atm. Adebayor would be the natural choice imo. But not sure I want to do it this week. I fear looking like an idiot if Suarez scores vs. Villa.

Yeah Adebayor as well although he also has the missing GW problem. Plus i also don't particularly fancy him to outscore Cisse in GWs32 & 33.

I suspect i'll end up keeping Suarez, he's bound to score against us anyway ðŸ™

Can't believe you're in that position in the table. 'Burn are far better than 5, 6 other teams, imo.

Your lads gave me heartburn, high blood pressure, and killed my buzz for ~80 minutes. A really gritty performance ... they seem to be fighting for the club and their manager.

I think there will be goals vs Villa. I'm fighting the urge to do Suarez to Torres, as I feel that was a last chance saloon-type performance from Carroll. Kuyt I think will bring opportunity and quickness. I may have to dump Gerrard for sure.

In the last group stage round in the CL when all the good teams were fielding reserve players i did transfers for a 28 point hit and managed around 90 points. Sometimes it works.

You mean the one where you say you're willis hyde? And why might one go through the trouble to impersonate another, only to announce their 'real' persona?

His understanding with Valencia on the right is getting better and better each week, and i reckon he should start next week too based on the last 2 games. But he's not really worth the risk when you can get a nailed on Evans instead.

I've problem with my ManU players. I've Evans, Valencia and Rooney. My rival has de Gea, Young and Evra.

He keeps getting extra points for CS's week in week out.

I'd really like two ManU defs and probably ditching Roo.

Keep him till atleast GW 36, and ditch then if you want. Pretty confident that he'll be able to help you wipe out your rivals points for the extra clean sheet. Also when Nani comes back, it could be less points for Young. Stick with your trio, it's the right way to go.

    hi!

i know it's a little early to be tinkering with my team, but I just want to know what you guys think will be my best starting XI. so far, i have it as so:

    schwarzer
    evans, cahill, caulker
    valencia, walcott, bale, dempsey
    rvp, rooney, cisse

    bench: vorm, sig, kelly, king

i want to play sig for this gw, but i have no idea who to drop. also, am i right in playing schwarzer in front of vorm, since vorm as an in form newcastle (even though they are home).

any advice is appreciated! thx guys

    Currently:

    Vorm, Schwarzer
    Evans, Caulker, Skrtel, Simpson, Kelly
    Bale, Dempsey, Valencia, Sigs, McClean
    RVp, Rooney, Suarez

I have 2 FTs and £2.4 in the bank, and want to field 10/11 in GW34, I only have 8 currently, and am planning Dempsey to Walcott after this week, and want Kelly out this week, along either Simpson or Skrtel at some point.

Any thoughts on Skrtel to Verm/Kaboul, Kelly to Bardsley/Turner?

I could afford it, but I'm not sure I want to while City are choking. With the Kompany/Lescott partnership back they might be a bit more solid, but 3 conceded at home to Sunderland with Komps playing puts me off.

I would say only that one change with Kelly (although, playing Bolton... worth keeping?)

Reckon that your side is pretty spot on for the upcoming GW

Perhaps a Suarez move-on then, if you really had a itchy transfer trigger finger?

Yeah, I mean this week I can play:

            Vorm
            Evans, Caulker, Skrtel
            Valencia, Dempsey, Sigs, Bale
            RVP, Rooney, Suarez

            (Schwarzer, McClean, Kelly, Simpson)

I will probably not double up on swans considering Papiss' form, and play Kelly, and I guess if I'm benching Simpson I could move him onfor Kaboul, sideways in terms of GW34 players, but a good DGW prospect

Cheers for the advice, you've helped me get my thinking organised 😛

The thing is if I keep Clint this week I'll want him for the Chelsea game and then I'll want him for the Wigan game and so on and so forth. But I'm convinced Sess will score well and he has a game in GW34. Can't decide.

I could do Davies to Sess but then I'd have no money in the bank and I'd have no idea who to bench this week.

It is flavoured tobacco. Popular in arabic culture. Thier shisha cafes are places of social gathering and can be thought of as equivalents to pubs.

Is anyone concerned about the value in Chelsea's DGW. They have a lot of fixtures and RDM has already stated there will be rotation. Also if the FA cup game ends in a draw (very possible) then that will cause another blank gameweek and another DGW which could throw out a few carefully made plans. Chelsea players could be a nightmare till the end of the season. So should they be avoided?

    Chelsea's fixtures

    4th Benfica (CL)
    7th Wigan (32)
    9th Fulham (33)
    15th Spurs (FA cup)
    18th CL semi L1
    21st Arsenal (35)
    25th CL semi L2
    29th QPR (36)
    2nd Newcastle (36)
    5th FA cup final?
    6th Liverpool (37)

Pretty sure FA Cup semis go to extra-time and penalties now. But yeah it is a potential minefield. Cole, Terry, Cech and perhaps Mata are the only real options imo.
