Aston Villa will return to the Premier League in 2019/20 after winning the Championship play-off final on Monday afternoon.
The Villans, managed by Dean Smith, beat Derby County 2-1 with goals from Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn.
They join Norwich City and Sheffield United in the top-flight for 2019/20, who secured their passage through the automatic promotion positions.
Following relegation in 2015/16, Aston Villa endured three seasons in the second-tier of English football.
But they will be back on FPL once again this summer.
At this early stage, it is difficult to tell exactly who will be the key Fantasy assets.
For example, Tammy Abraham finished the season as Villa’s top goal-scorer in the league having found the net 25 times.
However, it is currently uncertain where he will be playing his football in 2019/20.
Abraham has been on loan at Villa Park from Chelsea this year and could be back at Stamford Bridge by August.
Maurizio Sarri’s Blues are currently under a transfer embargo and will be unable to sign any players in the summer transfer window.
Therefore, they may require Abraham’s services in 2019/20.
“You can never say never (about coming back to Aston Villa). First of all, I’ve got to enjoy it with the boys tonight, you know. But you can never say never. We’ll see what God has planned for me.” – Tammy Abraham
However, Abraham is not the only Aston Villa player to have achieved promotion as a loanee.
El Ghazi was a star performer in the play-off final as he scored the opening goal and provided the assist for the second.
He has been on loan at Villa from Lille this season so will need to have his situation sorted in the coming months.
At the other end of the pitch is centre-back Tyrone Mings who has been on loan from Bournemouth.
Axel Tuanzebe and Kortney Hause have also been on loan from the top-flight, from Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.
In the next few days, we will have more information on Villa manager Dean Smith as well as some data on the key assets in both defence and attack.
