What is the Members Season Ticker and how do I use it?

The most popular feature of Fantasy Football Scout Membership is our Season Ticker tool.

Once again, this will be available to use in the 2019/20 season.

It’s a fully interactive tool that allows Fantasy managers to analyse trends in the fixture list.

Members get the interactive ticker on their homepage to help identify trends of easy and difficult fixtures for each team over the course of the season.

This will be an incredibly important part of our research once the 2019/20 Premier League fixtures are released on June 13.

Teams are ranked for difficulty on the Scout’s own rating system which is continually updated according to home and away form as the season progresses.

Through a clear and tried and tested colour coding, the ticker allows members to immediately spot periods of easy or difficult opponents, allowing you to plan your transfer strategy throughout the season.

Members can now not only view this rating system, they can create their own by tweaking the values for each and every team, effectively allowing Members to create their own Tickers which are saved in the browser for each and every visit.

The new updated ticker introduced in 2016 also includes the facility to plot rotation pairings, offering further guidance on forming perfect squad combinations.

Not sure if this has been reported on here but Boruc signed 1 year extension to his Bournemouth contract. He’s 40 next February, interesting how the Bournemouth keeper situation’s resolved for next season.
Apart from the keeper position will the Cherries keep Mings or sell him?

At some stage Bournemouth will need to start offloading players. Of the bottom 14 they’ve spent pretty much as much net as anyone else since they came up - on a par with WH for instance which seems odd given resources.

Not true at all . Maxim Demin the Bournemouth owner has very deep pockets and there is no need to offload players.

Perhaps but ffp surely means their net spend is nowhere near sustainable

They’ll have a made a stonking loss last season with their huge net spend and wages will be on the up and up.

Mings want to go to villa and will be sold as a profit - good news all round.
Of more worry would be poaching around Ake

    Ticker = Fundamentally Flawed.

I've tried to point this out a few times over the years (such at this season when Huddersfield had a beckoning sea of blue before them) but I was shot down in flames by the "experts".

    Pish. Utter useless pish.

      It's a fixtures ticker.
May as well make all Man City games blue going on your thinking.

Following it blindly is fundamentally flawed but if you apply a bit of sense it’s still very useful. It’s probably the members feature I use the most, as did our world number one!

Would be useful to be able to toggle between the current absolute numbers of the opposition and the relative numbers which take into account both teams involved in the fixture.

I don't see a problem with all Man City's fixtures being blue, it that's what the ticker spits out in relativity mode. That's just information based on numbers. Useful stuff!

And the whole point of the ticker is surely that we don't have to apply sense to see who has the best fixtures. Because numbers. We can use it how we want, but applying sense to transform the fixture colours into a scale of who has the best fixtures in relative terms and sorting them in our head.... Doesn't seem likely to be a robust method with the same level of resolution that's currently in the ticker. And you wouldn't be able to apply any extra features to your mental schema, which may be added to improve the ticker, like add/remove specific fixtures from the sort.

So yeah, I agree that your method would be useful, perhaps even more useful. Though the more estimated elements you include, the less robust the. The absolute version is nice in it's own way, because the numbers are for pure fixtures. It shouldn't be a big issue, though, to toggle to relative numbers. We can already do that manually, but I can never be bothered.

Cheers TM.Sceptical me was wondering though if that's just upping the asking price if there's any interest. Apparently Bayern were interested last September after he was exempted from military service. He's passed Eriksen and Alli as Spurs most important player after Kane and Kane starting to look a tad more injury-prone..

Hi guys, in an attempt to make next season a bit more interesting I am going to create a collection of very short videos with an outrageous FPL punt. Was planning to pop them on Twitter and YouTube called Dare Do The Punt.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what is a good % ownership to keep it under so that it is actually 'punt' worthy?

FFS 'differentials' tend to be under 5%.

Realistically, though, the number would change based on context. Every active player might want to buy a 4% owned player one week, which makes him a differential, but not a punt (not even a differential if everyone does buy him!).

Maybe you want different criteria for 'punting'. Maybe that criteria includes ownership.

But come GW38, you don't want to be buying 4% owned KDB after a few games back after injury and after a couple of hattricks, while every active manager wants him, but most managers are inactive after a period where player purchases have been focused around blank and double gameweeks when Man City wete undesirable on paper, so KDB's ownership hasn't yet sored, despite being one one the best FPL prospects at that moment. It wouldn't be great for your criteria to allow you to buy this man in this moment. 😀

Hello chaps, I have done some analysis on the FFS captaincy polls and the points returned from the top 3 players. These are my findings, make what you want of them. GW38 is missing though so will add that eventually.

Good to see utd still being linked with Bale

Being linked with him is obviously a very different thing to signing him

And signing him unfortunately isn’t the slam dunk 25 goals/25 assists a season it once would have been

But imo he’s at the absolute top end of who they could realistically get in to give some semblance of hope of starting to pull things together

Him or possibly Coutinho would be fantastic signings for them relative to where the club currently is and a real statement of intent imo

If they end up with Daniel James and Sean Longstaff instead I will be writing Woodward a letter.... A very strongly worded letter

It’s the reason he’s not the slam dunk 25 goals/25 assists he once would have pretty much guaranteed... but a risk totally worth taking if he’s open to moving imo
