With only six fixtures to choose from this week, the Premier League has decided to give Mike Dean the day off. Another of our favourites, Lee Mason, is also out of action, setting the stage for spot-kick obsessive Jon Moss as the man most likely to make waves from the Gameweek 34 schedule…

Jon Moss

Never afraid to court controversy, Moss is streets ahead of any other whistler when it comes to dishing out spot-kicks. He’s been the man in the middle just nine times so far, yet has awarded seven penalties – an average of 0.78 per game. Given that Dean is next best with 0.46 spot-kicks awards per game, Moss’ previous in the art of penalty-giving should set off alarm bells ahead of his next match at the Hawthorns tomorrow, when West Brom entertain QPR.

For the hosts, this could be good news for Chris Brunt, then. The Irishman has recovered from a knee problem and is set to return tomorrow, though should he only make the bench, Peter Odemwingie is available to step up. Should Moss revert to type. Bobby Zamora’s Fantasy owners could also receive a timely boost, though if the former Fulham man fails to recover from the knock picked up against Swansea in midweek, Adel Taarabt is next in line to benefit for Mark Hughes’ outfit as they go in search of a crucial away win.

Andre Marriner

His love affair with yellow cards looks set to continue at the Emirates on Monday evening. So far this season, Marriner is fourth top for cautions per match, dishing out an average of 3.59 yellows over his 17 games to date. Potentially, Wigan could suffer more than Arsenal from Marriner’s penchant for flashing the cards – the Latics have been the second most culpable side for fouls conceded this term, with only Everton making more.

Marriner’s no-nonsense approach has also seen his hand out three straight reds (second only to Martin Atkinson) in addition to a couple of further dismissals for two yellow cards. The likes of Gary Caldwell, James McCarthy and Maynor Figueroa are the likeliest culprits from the away side, while with Laurent Koscielny serving a two-match ban for picking up 10 bookings, Alex Song could be in Marriner’s sights.

Interestingly, Roberto Martinez’s side are also second top when it comes to giving away penalties, with a total of eight beaten only by Newcastle’s nine. Marriner, however, seems to be somewhat shy in this respect – he has pointed to the spot just twice this season. Clearly, Mike Dean needs to have a word.

Neil Swarbrick

Finally, we turn our attentions to the match at the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland entertain basement-dwellers Wolves. In terms of dismissals per match, Swarbrick’s stats are joint-top for referees; in just 10 matches, he has handed out three straight reds, an average of 0.3 per game – Mike Dean has dished out the same number over a total of 26 games.

Wolves should be most wary. They’ve picked up a couple of reds in the last five Gameweeks and, with Karl Henry back in the first-team, Swarbrick could be up to his old tricks tomorrow afternoon. Martin O’Neill, on the other hand, may well be hoping Lee Cattermole misses out for this one, with the Black Cats skipper currently a doubt after picking up a knock in the 4-0 loss at Everton.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Looking for a differential captain to close a mini-league deficit of 72 points (over RVP, who my rival will captain, but he does not have any of the below):
    A: Bendy
    B: Siggy
    C: Verm
D: Don't be so f'ing stupid and give the Van the armband
    Vote now!

RVP, you still give the armband to the guy most likely to rake in the points, your trying to close the gap not increase it,

Hello men, need a figurative pat of online reassurance.

I'm 25pts behind my ML leader. He has RVP and Roo. He will C RVP.

I have Aguero and RVP. Does anyone else think Aguero will outscore RVP? Wigan are hitting form and Arsenal and RVP look tired / on the wane a touch (ignore the 10 man Wolves result).

Citeh and Aguero meanwhile look reinvigorated by the return of Tevez, Silva looked sharp again on Wed, Norwich are basically on the beach now and got smashed last time 5-1 at Eastlands. Aguero is making all the right noises about making a fight for the title too.

Someone give me the balls to C Aguero pls!!!!

If I was in your position, unless you are confident that the rest of your squad is clearly stronger than his, I would cpt Aguero. Time is running out and you will have to gamble sooner or later.

Thank god GW 34 is finally here. Not sure about anyone else but i have hated the last couple of weeks since the DGW announcement, having to plan 6 weeks ahead. So much better planning 2-3 weeks ahead as normal. I think i would have been better off not knowing as i have picked my squad with this in mind, so avoided the form players like Dempsey and Cisse and sold the likes of Krul so that i could raise a team for this week. Normal service from next week on, apart from the potential red herring of a DGW that is.

    Only got 8 men for GW34 with 0 GK's, 3 defenders, 3 midfielders and 2 strikers.

Of those not playing 1 defender, 2 midfielders and my extra striker are all on DGW in GW36 so I don't want to swap them out. But both GK's are DGW and I will be playing Krul not Schwarzr

That leaves me a choice of bringing in a GK for Schwarzer or defender and I already have 3 Arsenal and 3 Man UTD so stuck btwn a rock and a hard place on who to bring in

Best choice out of this little lot?
    a) Given
    b) Mignolet
    c) Taiwo
    d) Collins
    e) Turner
    f) Someone else
    G) Do nothing and use the extra free transfer towards GW36

        Tevez since his return:

        5 appearances, 141 minutes, 4 shots, 2 on target, 1 goal, 1 assist, 12 key passes.

That last figure is interesting - that's the same as RvP has had in the last 6 weeks and 1 more than Rooney, despite both of them having much more game time.

Swansea are playing crap. I wouldn't get Siggy if I didn't already have him.

    Repost.

For the double onwards would you rather have

    A. VDV- BLA, bol, avl, FUL - IF Spurs lose on Sunday

    OR

    B. HBA switching to Walcott in GW37- wig, che, NOR, wba

I'm looking forward to seeing what rivals have done to their teams tomorrow.

Where are we all in our main mini leagues?

I'm leading but not by much, I can easily be caught if I get the wrong captaincy and he doesn't.

I was in a similar situation, I caught up a couple of weeks ago. You must be pretty confident and he is no doubt crapping his pants.

These next few weeks are gonna seperate the men from the boys.

Feel like I've got momentum on my side and definitely confident I can beat him, but the next few weeks could go either way.

      10 points clear.

2nd guy has made 2 transfers
3rd guy has made 3 transfers

I reckon both have transfered in Sess

Have McClean but now thinking about getting Sess in also...
