The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

come on guys, why the hate. Walcott has served me well these past weeks. got his double digits once, what do you expect ? him getting you 13 points every week? come on to your senses, youd have to wait for the outcome. 1 week failure and straight out, kids.

all im saying is that he wasnt THAT bad, there were others worse than him. he should've scored if it's not for the push from one of Wigan's twat CB.

They've beaten Man U, Liverpool and now Arsenal.

        What do they've to do?!

damn and blast this game, really don't know what to do. Help someone

    De Gea, Mingolet

    Verm, Evans, Caulker, Kolarov, Santon

    Sess, McClean, Walcott, Bale, Siggy

    Roomey, RvP, Cisse

2 Fts and 1.1 in the bank

Really think I need a City striker this week. Was set on shipping Rooney, but he has form, RvP does not, yet there is something that seems wrong about selling RvP. I know what he did v Chelsea last time but a) Chelsea are better now than they were then. b) RvP then was in major form, now he is not.

Even when they play at home, and it doesn't really matter who the opposition is, they have a fairly empty stadium.

It's understandable to a degree why - rugby town, small population and a team who must be quite frustrating to support at time but every time I watch them play I think they deserve a better bunch of fans.

To all those knee jerkers selling RVP/Rooney > Aguero/Tevez

    - Yes I would rather either/both City strikers for Wolves but at the cost of 2 transfers or a 4 point hit for one game, doesn't seem worth it even if you Captain?
    - I understand if its a long term thing, I say go for it but MUN new doesn't look attractive to me.

However I am looking at Rooney/RVP > Ade/Jelly for DGW = 2 more games BLA/bol/FUL/sto V mcy sto and following that they have avl/wol. RVP has NOR you say well thats why Im leaving money in the bank for Cisse > RVP giving me 3 DGW strikers plus RVP > NOR.

    Seem sensible?

          Similar to me.

7 if I get a city forward for 1 week only,

8 if I'd not, which gives me Friedel in goals.

I have Vorm & minge, who are not good option in 37 & 38 - so brad be between the sticks for me for final 3 weeks, more than a dgw trade,.

If Wenger thinks he's winning anything with that defence he's going to be sadly disappointed.

Wigan always seem to do this to Arsenal late in the season.

I thought RVP would have a stormer since I didn't captain im so I put a tenner on him scoring at any time... lost a tenner but won a tenner on Vermy any time goal...

      So decent night overall 🙂

Yeah the way Wigan are playing the Dempsey v Wigan game is not the banker it seems.
Ben Arfa might be the better pick.
