The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

      looks good

Really can't decide what to do. Am not sure on Tevez, but how about Walcott and Sess to Dempsey and HBA for no hit?

Want Tevez, but the call over who to ship for him is killing me.

Both seem to be slipping away this season tbh. RVP may produce the goods in the big upcoming match on Saturday but that's really just a hunch. I guess Rooney looks the more likely to score at the weekend given that he was very dangerous yeaterday despite playing poorly enough imo.

    a) 5

      Most likely 'C'

But, as I -- and probably 600K other people -- are doing the same thing, the FPL's software algorithm will commensurately slow the update ... as they achieve increased sponsor fees via clicks and by collecting & selling babies' tears.

So ... 3.5 hours, or whatever it is in the metric system.

RVP, he last scored from open play in epl on the 12th of March. Hes off form, and with Man U looking to seal a title, I fancy Rooney more than RVP.

As far as Tevez or Aguero goes, I opted to trade RVP to Tevez. He seems to be the spark that City has needed recently. Though Aguero may be their man up top, I've opted for Tevez.

The wildcard timing is the most important decision you make in the FPL. I timed mine perfectly in Gw 15. Then I was 70 pts behind my mini league leader. Now I lead by 120 points..!! Total turnaround for me. Was then in place number 78000 overall. Now I am in place number 3600.

I would bench Valencia not bale but it's a close call
I would also put caulker as first sub and not third, since because he is in your starting 11 if he does not play he can sub for himself.

Think I'm gonna get Bale in rather than VDV as I reckon Bale will get more minutes on the pitch so more opportunity for points. Plus VDV is more prone to injury. He did look sharp against Chelsea but Harry tends to sub him off around the 70/80 mark.

Don't blame you to be fair, I'm stuck with Adebayor so that's enough attackers for me, will prob go with BAE as my third Tottenham player.

Ah I've got Ade too, he's awful to own isn't he 🙁

Already got Bale too, so will likely be upgrading McClean to VDV and downgrading one of my strikers.

But Dempsey is on better form than Rooney and Arsenal, I reckon he'll score.

Seriously think you could get something from Spurs though, alike with Stoke a win is very possible. 🙂

On reflection - what is important? The fight is all - so these reverses may be a reason to KEEP the big three - not to sell them.

Ben Arfa - better away. Jelavic - my only worry, now. Cahill - we'll see, Beauswinger if not. Baines - please be well!

Spurs - midfield back in focus. One for tomorrow. May get Vermaelen, now.

    Evening graveyarders!
Still behind the couch dodging the bullet as my minileague rivals all (c)RVP!
Would appreciate your thoughts on this lot:

    Current squad:

    ------------------------------ Vorm[bol] ----------------------------------- (Sorenson)
    Evans J[EVE] -------- Walker[qpr] -------- Simpson[STO] (McAuley, Kelly)
    Dempsey[WIG] -- Sess[avl] -- Siggy[bol] -- Valencia[EVE] (Walcott)
    Suarez[WBA] --------- Rooney[EVE] ----------- Bendy[avl]

    2 FTs £2.3m

Don't want Cisse as every-bugger-else has him.
Thinking of ignoring Bodan (prefer villa's home fixtures), so what do you think to...

    Rooney > Weimann[SUN/BOL] (GW35)
    Valencia> VDV[qpr] (GW35)
    Bendy > Ade[BLA/bol] (GW36)

    Cheers!

To be honest, if they did they'd probably get rid for a DGW striker or a Man City one.

Considering that there would only be 2 GW's left after the DGW and the form book pretty much goes out of the window at this stage I don't think people selling Rooney or RVP are going to suffer too much the rest of the season.

yeah exactly, this is my view, last roll of the dice. You can't catch a lead if you have the same players as them. It might not come off but at least there is a chance...

I just think its a wasted transfer, on the other hand I only have 4 DGW players so far. I guess if you had more it makes a little more sense. I hate the move for a hit though, that's stupid.

Anyone tempted to do Rooney and RVP out for Aguero and Tevez?

High risk, but rival has RVP and Rooney, owning both could potentially see one gain a lot of ground! Or is it a step too far?

I find myself unsure of what to do. 2FT, Rooney to Cisse and McClean to Dempsey gives me:

    Krul
    Verm, Evans, Kolarov
    Walcott, Dempsey, Valencia, Siggy
    RVP, Tevez(c), Cisse

    Vorm, Ryo, Shotton, Baines

    Any ideas?
