It’s hardly Liverpool’s fault? Our squad has prioritised a more important competition because we’ve been punished for being European champions. Had the clash not occurred we would have had a fairly strong side out.

PL sides have been "disrespecting" it for years. Always putting out reserve sides / youth players in early rounds at least.
