Here we are again. We should savour these moments – there’s very few left for a good while. The Saturday morning ritual will no doubt be missed once the next month has passed. For now, we’ve a Gameweek to tame and our Saturday Surgery Chatroom is now open to lend a hand. Dip in for some real-time virtual chin-wagging before the bell tolls in just over an hour.

Before you go, here’s a recap of the key coverage we’ve brought to you from the Scout team this week…

  • As always, we start with the Scout Picks. No Wayne Rooney? Imagine the scandal. Take in Sir P’s account of this week’s Scout Committee selection right here.
  • Big Dunc likes some a little off the wall, a bit exotic. Once again he served up a platter of oddities in this week’s Differentials with the fragile talents of David Dunn topping the bill. Grab that brand of goodness here.
  • Anorak is relentless is his examination of the man in the middle – determined to spot the trends and anticipate the influence of the weekend refs on our Fantasy returns. Men in Black is here to run the rule over the latest batch of whistle blowers.
  • Andy resurrected the Captain Poll article, just in time to ponder the merits of wandering from the safe ground of Van Persie and Rooney. Dip back into this here.
  • Jonty and Stilicho flipped open their notebooks to give a full assessment of the double Gameweek teams – did they find fruit amongst the scant branches of Villa and Bolton? Have a gander to find out.
  • The Watchlist brought our view on Villa’s double Gameweek hopeful James Collins, while our Members were able to assess the talent available amongst the Relegation Candidates in this week’s Numbers Game feature.
  • Akers and Superior Being have, once again, been running our cup competitions with blood, sweat, tears and efficiency. We’re up to the last sixteen in the Paddy Power Cup – here’s the draw with those involved. There’s always next season.
  • Granville and I crept into a dark studio to record our whinings in the latest ScoutCast episode. Do we decide to dump the aforementiond RVP and Rooney? Get your ears round this to find out.

That should be enough to amuse you up until 11.30. If not, the Pre-match Preamble follows in just over half an hour. The Surgery chatroom will, of course, be flipping to Duguout Discussion around 12.30 to take in today’s cracking opener at the Emirates. Be there or go shopping. I know where I’d rather be…but I guess I’ll have to try to log in from Mothercare. Have another good one.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is Bendtner > Aguero for a hit just silliness?

    It would require:
Hart > someone rubbish (I can play bogdan till season end)
    Verm > Williamson
Or lose a good midfielder (Bale, Demps) for someone cheaper (ben arfa? have Sig and Moses already)

I have the same choice and going with boggers. Could well be wrong, but that's what the gut says. Plus, it's more fun having an interest in two games.

    Chaps,

Interesting odds from a captaincy perspective in the "To score 2 or more goals" markets. Aguero & Tevez are both 7/2, Cisse's 5/1 & RVP's 11/2 but it's Rooney's price that catches the eye. The bookies reckon he might be in for a good weekend and make him clear favourite at 5/2.

    Hmmmm.

Right… Down to my last decision for the week and I’m sure it is a standard one….

I have no FTs this week left. Lots of money in the bank. 7k overall and only 9 points clear in my ML which is where the money is….

Rooney for aguero and straight to captain? Four point wound…

I was planning to drop Rooney next week and bring in Ade. Gw 37 would then be aguero…

Wish you luck with Weimann. He was my 1st choice but I've been tempted by a City striker instead. I have RVP still, and Cisse. We share a defence and the only doubt I'd have is Walcott. I'm playing the same MF but with Moses.

"We have to win, it’s as simple as that, and I can promise you that we will go for it", Van Persie told Arsenal’s matchday programme.

"We’ve proved that we can perform in the big games against top teams, and it’s up to us to show it again.

"Everybody is looking forward to it, and to bouncing back from the Wigan result because we need to put that right. We have everything that it takes to put in another very good performance."
