Here we are again. We should savour these moments – there’s very few left for a good while. The Saturday morning ritual will no doubt be missed once the next month has passed. For now, we’ve a Gameweek to tame and our Saturday Surgery Chatroom is now open to lend a hand. Dip in for some real-time virtual chin-wagging before the bell tolls in just over an hour.

Before you go, here’s a recap of the key coverage we’ve brought to you from the Scout team this week…

  • As always, we start with the Scout Picks. No Wayne Rooney? Imagine the scandal. Take in Sir P’s account of this week’s Scout Committee selection right here.
  • Big Dunc likes some a little off the wall, a bit exotic. Once again he served up a platter of oddities in this week’s Differentials with the fragile talents of David Dunn topping the bill. Grab that brand of goodness here.
  • Anorak is relentless is his examination of the man in the middle – determined to spot the trends and anticipate the influence of the weekend refs on our Fantasy returns. Men in Black is here to run the rule over the latest batch of whistle blowers.
  • Andy resurrected the Captain Poll article, just in time to ponder the merits of wandering from the safe ground of Van Persie and Rooney. Dip back into this here.
  • Jonty and Stilicho flipped open their notebooks to give a full assessment of the double Gameweek teams – did they find fruit amongst the scant branches of Villa and Bolton? Have a gander to find out.
  • The Watchlist brought our view on Villa’s double Gameweek hopeful James Collins, while our Members were able to assess the talent available amongst the Relegation Candidates in this week’s Numbers Game feature.
  • Akers and Superior Being have, once again, been running our cup competitions with blood, sweat, tears and efficiency. We’re up to the last sixteen in the Paddy Power Cup – here’s the draw with those involved. There’s always next season.
  • Granville and I crept into a dark studio to record our whinings in the latest ScoutCast episode. Do we decide to dump the aforementiond RVP and Rooney? Get your ears round this to find out.

That should be enough to amuse you up until 11.30. If not, the Pre-match Preamble follows in just over half an hour. The Surgery chatroom will, of course, be flipping to Duguout Discussion around 12.30 to take in today’s cracking opener at the Emirates. Be there or go shopping. I know where I’d rather be…but I guess I’ll have to try to log in from Mothercare. Have another good one.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

not sure how to work out who it is they have got, but you can tell how many transfers they have done by being logged in and then looking at there team it says gameweek transfers made

          They probably told them personally?

You can also guess what they may have done by monitoring their team value, can't say I've ever done that myself though.

      1. Has he made transfer yes/no?
      2. Team value before?
      3. Team value after?
      4. Cash in bank?

Tell me his squad and answers to those questions and I'll pretty much nail it......

Ah three, not so easy!! You need to know team values before and after each transfer.

Who do you reckon he'll have transfered out?

Bent or Bendy, Sess & Rooney? Maybe Turner

Been stuck all week - can anyone help? 2 free transfers at the mo.

    A) Rooney to Adebayor, McLean to Ben Arfa
    B) Rooney to Tevez (then Tevez to Adebayor next week - therefore losing an extra DGW player)

Is Tevez worth bringing in for 1 week, and sacrificing having another DGW player like Ben Arfa for example.

Tevez at home to Man U is probably worth keeping. Don't get too excited by dgw players. It's the quality of the player/fixture you need. I had 11 players last week, and got thrashed by teams with less than 7 players which included one or more of Aguero, Tevez, Sigurdsson, etc..

Only IF Tevez scores higher. But if you're a poker player you'll realise that the risk:reward ratio for Tevez is miles better than Aguero. No brainer.

Totally agreed.....so meant to clarify but got bored as reckoned no one would read it.....

But if Aguero scores high and Tevez does not and you only have Tevez, the drop in overall rank could be very big also....

    My last decision, to start

Schwarzer (WIG H) or Vorm (BOL A)

I'm favouring Vorm as Wigan's form has been pretty good lately. Thoughts?

I'm having the same issue! Currently got Cisse as captain, but concerned that RVP could explode against a tired Chelsea side from Barcelona mid-week.

Chelsea I think will rest many players, but they didn't look tired midweek.

His base starting position is midfield but as we've seen before he still drifts up front, and is almost given a free role. I can see him scoring one or two.

Here is my team. Got two free transfers this week. Brought in Tevez for Rooney already

    Bogdan
    Evans, Simpson, BAE
    Bale, Valencia, Dempsey, Walcott
    Cisse, Tevez, RVP

    Subs: Vorm, Sessegnon, Caulker, Gibbs

Should I do the folllowing free transfer one week early?
    1. Sess out - Ben Arfa (then play Ben Arfa instead of Sess?)

My team for week 36 will be
    Bogdan
    Cahill, Simpson, BAE
    Bale, Mata, Dempsey, Ben Arfa
    Cisse, Ade, RVP

Subs: Vorm, Evans, Caulker, Valencia (giving 10 dwgs) - 3 transfers (2 free)

    Thoughts?

Whoops. My proposed free transfer for this week is.

      1. Sess Out - Ben Arfa in

Then Put Walcott on the bench and play Ben Arfa

      Thoughts?

I would do it. I have been mulling over doing Sess--Hba all week but for a 4 point hit. It would leave me with Demps VDV HBA Siggy and Valencia on the bench. What do you think of that idea?

Sess for HBA for a hit!! Can't decide and time is running out!

Will Sess actually score against Villa or are they just going through the motions??

Really stuck on who to (c):

Cisse - Form player, playing at home against an average side. But Stoke are likely to park the bus and don't often concede many goals.

Rooney - Form has been pretty poor for him lately, but playing at home against an Everton side who don't have much to play for now and are without Baines. Plus you never know if Rooney will be pulled towards midfield by SAF.

RVP - Form again has been poor for him, but playing against a tired team that he scored a hattrick against in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

    hmmmmm?
