It reminded me of Rooney's goal against Newcastle in the attitude it was hit with. Sort of a 'I'm smashing this into the goal now' matter of fact way. Different techniques but the same cool unstoppable force.

I'm not saying it wasn't an awesome goal, it was, I just don't think it's goal of the season. I never feel a goal of the season should be a hit and hope.
Crouch's was surely more of a hit and hope than this... Cisse has a proven eye for goal. Im certain he knew what he was doing. His technique is just fantastic.

Watching cisse's goal from the replay when they show from the top view, when it goes in the Newcastle players don't even run off in celebration. They just stand there, turn their heads to look at each other in disbelief. Even terry was running forward probably thinking he had a goalkick!
