This time around the setting is Anfield and, if truth be told, the stake is pride more than the three Premier League points on offer. Hoping to avoid the worst tally in over 60 years for home points in a season, Kenny Dalglish plays Andy Carroll (at the expense of Craig Bellamy) alongside Luis Suarez following the impact he made on Saturday. There’s three other changes that see Jamie Carragher, Maxi Rodriguez and Jonjo Shelvey replace Jose Enrique, Steven Gerrard and Jay Spearing.

With a season-defining game awaiting in Munich later this month, a much-changed Chelsea line-up take to the field. There’s only three survivors from the weekend, with Champions League Final suspendees John Terry, Ramires and Branislav Ivanovic all keeping their place.

  Gw 27 I had 25 pts , I went from 62k to 107 k close on 50,000 places of a drop, it stays with you forever, tbh I came close to quitting but by Friday I dusted myself down , got my chin up used 1ft scored 67 pts and got back to 85k.

whos good on the price rises and falls?

i am planning to do valencia, cisse > maloney, aguero and have the exact money available (0.1m) to do this.

i can afford for cisse n valencia to both drop 0.1 as i can still sell at the same price

so my question is when will maloney and aguero rise, fiso has them at 17 and 21% so i have a while but can this be trusted?

  Yes.. you should be ok.. Most people will carry out their transfers Friday evening.. Its been the same throughout the season.. But just to be sure check it everyday and be careful if it touches 90%..

  Aguero is the one you need to worry about as Maloney is barely moving. I'd expect you have a couple of days still on Aguero though. Once he reaches about 80% I'd think about doing the moves. Should definitely be safe until then.

If you were 26 pts ahead in your mini league, which of the following would you do:

a) RVP -> Aguero
b) Dave/Jelly -> Aguero (but have to take a hit somewhere else to fund it)
c) Something else.

    he will not leave. arsenal will invest in the next year...not as much as city or united of course and they will have a good year....do people not remember last year as well? Arsenal f$&$ed up again towards the end and really could have had a shot to win it...and if Arsenal didnt suck pe#$is at the start of this year they could have been in contention as well. I dont think they would have but look....United are not as strong as they used to be and City is a new power in the league...anything can happen over the course of an EPL season, and Arsenal are a great club with an amazing history. RVP is going to stay and should. he is a born leader at this club.

      You know what you are saying -"If they did not have a bad start this year", "If they did not suck towards the end last year"....There will always be excuses...Next year will be defensive injuries, midfield injuries, something or the other....
      
      United have a perfect excuse for not winning this season, Have you seen how crippled their defense was this season...So many key injuries in defense and yet they put up a genuine title challenge...
      
      Arsenal they aren't gonna do that...RVP deserves to win league titles but it's not gonna happen at Arsenal.

      And in my personal opinion I dont think he will be allowed to leave this summer.. Even if he decides to NOT renew his contract, he only will be allowed to leave next on a free transfer instead.
      
      Although Id love it if he signs a contract, I can understand the hesitancy in not giving a Mega 200k 4 yr contract to an injury prone 30 yr old who only just had his 1st injury free season..

        Yeah but what will he do in that time. Silva was great against Newcastle so I'm hoping he'll explode against QPR. Nasri is a good option too as he's a bit more greedy. Mata is against a worse team but is probably slightly hindered by the chance of being subbed at 60. It's tough.

      They could - but, like I say, 11pts is not an easy gap to bridge. Your rival will look to copy you, by bringing in either or both of the Dutchmen, probably. You will have to counter that.

So, what do we think about RDM team selection re Blackburn. He was asked last night if he would try and play his first 11 for Bayern against Blackburn as a warm up. He was non-commital, but is interesting.
Can only finish 6th, but will want a nice result end of season in front of the home fans for feelgood factor.
Either way... I think this reduces the appeal of Chelsea assets going into weekend.
Either he will put out his strongest 11 and take them off early when cruising, or will have them all on the bench again.
Personally, I hope this means less gametime for Torres because I don't have him and my rival does.

        Great work mate! Don't know about you but it's took me a couple season to figure out how to play this game. I'd be disappointed now not to be in the top 10k next season.

I dont understand People talking about putting in Mata or Lampard seen few comments now.

Ok Blackburn at home but with Munich 6 days later + Chelsea and Blackburn nothing 2 play for. will they play and if so no way get 90 Mins

  I have mata and I really don't think he'll start. I can see RDM keeping most of his CL team off the pitch, because with the suspensions they've already got he couldn't afford injuries on top.

  Im seriously considering a hit on Demps/Bale for Lamps. think he will field a strongest side in preperation for the final. Momentum will be key i feel.

    I'll prob start mata, more in hope than anything but I'm not gonna be suprised if his name isn't on the team sheet. Got to think that ramires and mierles will start given they're both suspended that that only leaves one more midfield slot for lampard to take and loads of other players could fill it like essien, mikel, romeu, malouda, kalou (albeit the 2nd two will prob take a forward slot if they play).

Right. mini league leader has 14 points over me. Thought he would extend it last night (with Terry and Torres playing) to an amount that would require me to take a massive punt this week to win, but since he didn't I am now a little stumped.

Me:
Hart
Cueller Caulker Hibbert (Evans Turner)
Bale, VDV, Siggy, Dempsey (Valencia)
Jelly RVP Rooney

Him:
Krul
Terry Kompany Caulker (Hanley, Shotton)
Valencia, Bale, VDV, Moses (McClean)
Aguero (c) RVP Torres.

I have 1FT, he has already used his to bring in Kompany. I have 2 mill in bank.

What to do?
Do I have sufficient differential in this team to take the safe option and switch Rooney for Aguero (c)?
Or should I leave it upfront and pray (against all the odds) that Aguero doesn't hog the points? This would leave me to switch Bale to Silva (c).
Or should I even take a hit and get Aguero (c) in for Rooney and get rid of Valencia/Bale for Silva?
Or anything else? Tevez for Rooney maybe?

This seasons obsession with FFS has almost cost my marriage and job. A mini league win would bring me €1000, which would placate the wife (shoes) and make me care less about the job.

Help me out here. Tough decision

        Thx... hadn't expected that suggestion.
        That change would only leave me with Rooney, Siggy, Dempsey as differential captains over him (effectively Rooney)... not sure I can commit (c) to Rooney, he has let me down this season.

  On paper his team seems better to me. So you have 2 options take a hit for someone he wont get (maybe lampard) & make him Captain
  
  Or stick with what you have & Captain Someone he doesnt have. I struggle to see how you can win by making Aguero Captain. Especially after bringing in Kompany who he already has. I would be against a hit if honest its only gonna increase his lead.
  
  Captain Rooney or Sigg & pray my friend
  
  PS play Evans if hes not fit it will auto & smalling is a doubt.

    I have my 1 FT intact.
    That is what I am trying to spend, preferably on a solid captain differential (i.e. Bale/Valencia to Silva (c), or Rooney to Tevez (c). That's where I currently am stuck. Neither excites me too much.
    Lampard, if playing, would make me feel a lot better, that's a good suggestion. Just need to pray that RDM names his team.

    Bamboozled might have been a better word. Tevez is only one not sure about, should never have brought him in. Aguero is a must and RVP got to be involved, arsenal have to score. Only other forward I would have liked is torres. Prob would have brought him in if I'd already had aguero.
