Targeting Man City assets and why I’m holding onto the Wildcard

Manchester City’s Gameweek 10 fixture swing is finally upon us and it could prove to be pivotal to how the Fantasy Premier League season pans out for many of us.

We have truly reached an important crossroads for our big decisions as the focus continues shift away from Tottenham assets in the direction of Manchester City’s premium attackers.

The Citizens have seriously explosive potential as they host Burnley (who could be short of Nick Pope), Fulham and West Bromwich Albion in the next four rounds while Newcastle will come to the Etihad Stadium in Gameweek 15.

I’d be tempted to upgrade Martinez to Mendy; and not sure I’d want Justin on a WC. The rest looks sound.

Justin a placeholder, look above for my reasoning. Don't expect Chelsea to keep that many more clean sheets tbh. They should have easily conceded against Newcastle, but they're attackers were awful.

Yes I did watch the match. Toon were outplayed first half; didn’t get a look in. Granted second half they were better, Longstaff hit the bar with a cracking shot; that apart, Chelsea looked comfortable.

My take on this week's premium player dilemma.

Owner of Son, Bruno, Ziyech and Kane.

Want-to-be owner of Salah, KdB and Vardy in that order.

Holding fire on all 3 this week. Currently have Barkley and the shrewd move feels like moving him on for Jota, or Saiss for Justin and benching Barkley. Son and Kane are just playing too well to drop. I can see Chelsea and Spurs not being able to resist going at each other a bit. KdB is the only city player I'd take, and not willing to take a hit for him just yet; I don't think it will matter too much missing out on 1 week's worth of points if they do hit 3+ Burnley (personally don't think they'll score more than 2).

      1. BeWater
        • 3 Years

I keep flipping between doing Barkley > KDB for a hit or just sitting and waiting. My problem is if I don't do this move I have to play Brewster this week.

I think if you can afford that move for a hit, I'd do it. For me KdB would mean selling another premium
