Euro 2012 – Fantasy League Pro Update

As many of you may already have noticed, our coverage for next month’s Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine will also take in the Fantasy League Pro auction game. Yesterday saw us appeal for managers to fill the three Fantasy Football Scout leagues and, with only eight managers per league, the places quickly filled up. Here’s who made the cut:

FFScout League 1

The auction-based game seems to have caught the interest of many on the boards and with the game free-to-play, we intend to offer plenty coverage over the course of the tournament.

While we will obviously analyse the official Scout leagues and report on events as they unfold, we’d also like you to get involved.

      Poland's record against Greece at home: 8 games, 8 wins, goals: 22-4 (3 games in Warsaw: 4-0, 2-0 and 3-0). They even beat Greece a week before Euro 2004 and we all know what happened later.

Oh I hope Tevez & Bagotelly leave City this summer, might even make boys in blue likeable. With King Kenny also gone, that just leaves Suarez to clear out.

That would be perfect to see them all depart the EPL. I think it's a given Barton won't be around next season.

      Not the best at tactics for that one, but from what I read, a good number of people are selecting a GW1 team and then wildcarding to shift to better week 2 or 3 players. Defenders seem to be mostly from Group A--as it is the most open one--with maybe a couple from other defensive teams. Also no doubling up on group A keepers as you can't do a sub after the first day if they both played. Oezil is in most squads...actually a lot of squads seem similar to me so if you look at 3-5 RMT's you can probably get a general consensus on who is being interchanged.

    I think he's playing more as a CM, pulling the strings in the middle. De Jong is more than capable of doing all the donkey work himself.

        You know...my favorite two teams are the dutch and the germans, but that final in '10 made me wonder :p I would like to think that De Jong is just a bad apple who corrupted the other players that game.

        It is only a couple of bad apples i believe. It's just quite a few of those apples tends to become internationally successful. And i don't really want to think about Germany and '10 >:( Lampard's goal should have brought it to 2-2 and the momentum would have carried England forward, instead the the players were distraught and found it hard to concentrate. ARGH!

        Haha. Well hopefully nothing happens this year to further any rifts between fans...'10 had lots of bad calls. Technically my favorite team is the US and even though we had no right to make it very far, I believe we had a few bad calls that we did not benefit from :p

        It's 4-2-3-1 as we always play with De jong and VDV as the 2. VDV obviously isn't a DM, he's more a deep lying playmaker like Modric for Spurs I suppose. This is the more offensive type of 4-2-3-1 we can play, as opposed to playing Van Bommel and De Jong as the 2.

Does anyone know of a list of set piece takers for all the teams in the Euros? Rakitskiy (Ukraine) and Srna (Croatia) take a lot of set pieces for their clubs from what I remember, but if they don't, there may be better players instead or other good penalty/FK takers I could consider. I don't even know who'll take penalties for England. 😛

  Borussia Dortmund's CEO Watzke has also said that no-one will leave the club after Kagawa, but that might not mean too much if the price is right. It would have to be a high price though - BVB are currently demanding at least €20 million for Kagawa.
  
  Bayern Munich are apparently sniffing around Lewandowski (and Höwedes too, for whom they have launched an exchange deal including Rafinha) too, but this move within Germany won't happen.

  People would get emails from someone (frequently someone claiming to be a nigerian prince) who would say they would give them a huge amount of money if they could be sent a small amount to secure the funds.
  
  Very old con actually, but the "nigerian prince" email twist came in when everyone started having email accounts
