Free FPL team planner tool to help with Blank and Double Gameweek strategy

A new and completely free-to-use Fantasy Premier League team and transfer planning tool is now available ahead of Blank Gameweek 18.

Are you still pondering whether a Wildcard, the Free Hit or use of free transfers is the best strategy for the upcoming Gameweek? Or are you perhaps wanting to draft different Bench Boost squads in advance of Double Gameweek 19?

This new planner, created by our friend and site regular Ragabolly of LiveFPL.net fame, gives Fantasy managers the opportunity to work out their transfers, chips and captaincies for the weeks and months ahead.

All the correct selling values, money left in the bank, remaining chips, updated prices and fixture difficulties are factored into your personalised planner, which allows you to start tinkering straight away.

TOOL FEATURES

  • See how your team looks in any given Gameweek and plan your transfers, captains and vice-captains in advance:

  • Activate a chip in any future Gameweek, which then affects all Gameweeks beyond that:

  • Access a colour-coded fixture ticker that has your own specific players listed and the matches they have to play in the weeks and months ahead:

  • Generate an automatically updated summary of your plan, which is saved to your account for future use and can be reset at any time:

For more information, check out Ragabolly’s introductory tweet or the dedicated Hot Topic on our site.

Having had the choice of any Arsenal defender last week, I am now stuck with Bellerin 🙁

Why was his taken off after 54 minutes - was he really at risk of getting sent off? - I would have thought Arsenal would still have been able to cope vs WBA if they had gone down to 10 men when 2-0 up

For me tierney and holding prob better options

But as got prob not worth the swap orless extra 0.5 becomes handy and go holding

Just concerned whether he plays this week - tempted to swap for AWB as I would keep him for several gws

Imagine the outrage on here if Leeds v Saints is put into gw18...

Early free hitters will be absolutely livid.

It would be pure scenes, but not entirely unexpected the way things have been lately. I'd have a bench with no FTs and no chips used.

I'd be very happy - less happy about DGW19 though, as I'd suddenly be short of all my Leeds players.

Shrewsbury can't play their cup game this weekend so moving Leeds v Saints to GW18 is being mooted to make space for a rearrangement.

It is not the most sensible at all. Shrewsbury to forfeit the tie is much more likely and there's precedent too with Spurs getting the walkover from the League Cup.

Aye as an Orient ST holder it seems there are rules in place for clubs to forefit the earlier rounds when there are lower league clubs in but not for the later rounds.

I think it'll be a walkover personally, Prem clubs will take priority

No unilateral decision has been taken about whether postponing and re-arranging FA Cup matches is possible, with all teams taking part in this weekend's FA Cup games having to be tested for coronavirus 72 hours before the fixture.

Basically, they will review on a case by case basis.

In either case, if they postpone it, the easiest solution will be to move Leeds Southampton to a later date not to GW18. Moving fixtures forward is a lot harder than the other way around especially since it's less than a week away now.

Chances of that happening are next to 0 imo. Both teams don't play in Europe. So they would have plenty of midweeks free in the future.

Hi folks, the line up for DGW19 somehow dictates my transfers for BGW18, which combo would you prefer from the below list? Option A most preferred E the least currently:
    A. Grealish Salah Ings
    B. Grealish Rashford Vardy
    C. Salah Son Antonio/Rodrigo
    D. Rashford Son Ings
    E. Grealish Son Kane (+save FT)

Currently fielding 6 for GW18 with all chips in hand.

FH seems the obvious option, however am thinking the WC might be a better strategy as I can pick a strong team for GW18 with a WC and put out a strong team for GW19 with the option of BB or TC. What to do?

It's the FA Cup Quarter Final weekend, so the traditional BGW with the associated DGW to be worked around it depending on who goes through. If you're well set for 18/19, this would be the next big time to use it.

The big team / high owned players are expected to blank as they will be playing in the cup - so the best approach to that bgw is the FH. Otherwise you either go short or have to transfer in / out a bunch of players from weaker teams

-8 is okay in a regular week and maybe - 12 in a week you're playing BB/TC but all depends on those moves really
If you're taking hits to take out absolute weak source of points to bring in really high potential of points, then a - 12 could also be worth it in a regular week

Does anyone know for how long is McCarthy expected to be out? Will he be playing during DGW19?

Not much cheap striker options for double gw in case their game gets moved to gw18

Think I am going to save my chips and role with 7 players for GW18? If talk of Leeds v Southampton is true then i will have 10 players but kind of messes with my bench boost plans for GW19 as was going to swap Button and Struijk for Meslier and 4.5m defender.

    Martinez,
    Dias, Stones,
    KDB, Grealish, Fernandes
    Watkins

Button, Robertson, Salah, Antonio, Bamford, Raphinha, Coufal, Struijk - 1.2M ITB - Is 7 players enough to navigate the GW18 ?

Nothing substantial in it, Ben Crellin was listing potential outcomes to Southampton - Shrewsbury being postponed

I think the most likely outcome is Southampton go through to the next round if they can't play next week and the Prem games remain the same

Will be really diffucult to have decent dgw19 bb team without those cheap Leeds players.

That's what he's saying. You can still BB with those Leeds players. They don't need to have a DGW.

exactly ... a team with 7 or 8 double game week players and bench players with good fixtures is a great opportunity for BB

You don't need a double gameweek to play BB then. Just a strong bench with good fixtures.

yes, very true, it’s the point I am making really.

It’s quite nice though if you have a few extra games coming in from the bench, especially the keeper and 5th mid.

Isn't that worrying when going for a United defender on FH?

Would you do these moves to field strong setup GW18/19? I would probably TC 19

    -
    Holding - Dier - Dias
    Grealish - Son - KdB - Fernandes
    DCL - Watkins
Mendy(Che), Forster, Robertson, Coufal, Bissouma, Bamford

    GW 18: Dier -> ManU defender (-4)
    GW 19: Son + DCL -> Salah + Antonio/Adams(?) (-4)

11 doubles for 19. Cant see Spurs keeping cs vs Villa

I realised I would have 12 doublers for 19 with these moves... how about GW 18 Bissouma -> Smith Rowe?

What are your plans for Spurs assets from GW19 onwards? Will you have at least one of Son/Kane or neither?

Kane would be too expensive in 19 with Ings/Antonio around but Son's price would still be decent.
