Fulham come under the spotlight as we begin our team-by-team look at the four clubs with two fixtures in Double Gameweek 24.

The Cottagers, who are still languishing in the bottom three of the Premier League table, have a double-header against Everton and Burnley in the upcoming Gameweek.

The extra match hasn’t led to a surge in demand from the Fantasy Premier League community and not one member of Scott Parker’s side features in the top 40 for transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Is there anything to like about the west London club from an FPL perspective, then? We assess their credentials in the Premium Members article below.

THE FORM

Having started the season in poor shape and shipping goals for fun, Fulham have been a tougher nut to crack over the last 13 Gameweeks.

The Cottagers have only been beaten four times in that period, with all of those defeats coming against clubs currenly in the top five.

Parker’s troops have been holding their own against the rest of the division, failing to concede more than two goals in a match since Gameweek 9 – so anyone expecting a bloodbath at Goodison Park on Sunday may be disappointed, although it should be said that Everton were the last team to score three past the Cottagers.

Indeed, from Gameweek 12 onwards, only Manchester City (three) and Arsenal (nine) have conceded on fewer occasions than Fulham (10).

Source: SoccerStats

The defensive improvements haven’t translated into victories, though.

Fulham are on the longest winless run in the top flight, despite losing fewer matches than the likes of Spurs and Chelsea in that time.

Their problem is evident in the table above: with only six goals in their last 12 outings, they are the lowest scorers in the top flight over the period studied.

THE FIXTURES

Sterling is tempting. But I personally prefer defenders in DGWs. They return more frequently than attackers IMO.
With attackers I find little difference between DGW and SGW returns.

    Afternoon all.
Does this plan look decent still?

Will proceed after cup games finished. Perhaps controversially I'm not in love with the idea of double BUR def because I'm not planning to WC until after GW29 so prob going Shaw instead.

    GW24: Robbo > Shaw - roll 1FT
GW25: Soucek > Raphinha (for Leeds DGW) - roll 1FT
GW26: Antonio, Pope > Kane, Ryan (2FT) - possibly play TC on Kane
    Play WC after GW29

For this GW if I bring in Shaw, I will probably play this:

    Pope
    Dias, Stones, Shaw
    Salah, Bruno, Gundo, Soucek
    DCL, Bamford, Antonio
    (Martinez) (Coufal, Son, Dallas)

    Cheers!

As explained above I don't feel the same desire as everyone else to pile in on BUR def if I'm not WCing for a few weeks.

I may change my mind and go Lowton (don't see enough benefit from the more expensive guys) but for now the prospect of an in-form MUN defender is far more appealing and they may have a future DGW also.

        Cheers for the reply

Wonder has the Brighton defensive train derailed then?

In the 4 games leading up to this week only Man City had a better XGc than Brighton's 2.1, and only City/Chelsea conceded less attempts on goal than Brighton's 36...

Then along comes last week where Brighton promptly concede 1.8 XGc & 20 attempts on goal in a single game, to BURNLEY of all teams...

Watkins & Grealish could be set to continue their hot streaks (5 goals & 3 assists between them in the last 5 GW's)

Did Brighton change anything last game tactics wise?

March, Alzate, Trossard dropped out from the Liverpool game replaced by Veltman, MacAllister & Connolly, they still played the same 3 centrebacks plus Burn on the left & Bissouma/Gross/Maupay

Depending on opposition, Burn at LWB can be a big liability. March injury could hurt their defence a lot.

Whatever decisions are made on the pitch should stay on the pitch. I don’t like hearing about it interfering with personal life and I send Mike Dean and his family my support. There is no place for abuse of any kind. It is in the past and I’m now focused on the rest of the season

The more I see & hear of Soucek the more positive he gets - seems a good guy

How this for a plan for 24 - 26 without WC

    GW24 Salah & Wilson > Gundogan & Kane (2FT)
    GW25 Saka/Soucek > Raphinha
    GW26 -4 hit for 2 DGWers & Kane (TC)

    Rest of Team

    Martinez Johnstone

    Dias Coufal Stones Dallas Mee

    Salah Rashford Saka Fernandes Soucek

    Watkins DCL Wlison

    2.7 ITB 2FTs TC/BB left

Any ideas would be welcomed because I am at a loss at the moment on what to do re DGW planning

Better combo for gw 24? Will prob wildcard in gw 25.

    A. Martinez Tarkowski/Mee
    B. Pope Coufal (would lose 0,4m on Martinez)

    Thanks

      So it’s West Ham defence v Villa’s.
Think I’d keep Martinez if you want him back.
