Double Gameweek 24 teams: Fulham – best FPL players, form, fixtures and stats

Fulham come under the spotlight as we begin our team-by-team look at the four clubs with two fixtures in Double Gameweek 24.

The Cottagers, who are still languishing in the bottom three of the Premier League table, have a double-header against Everton and Burnley in the upcoming Gameweek.

The extra match hasn’t led to a surge in demand from the Fantasy Premier League community and not one member of Scott Parker’s side features in the top 40 for transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Is there anything to like about the west London club from an FPL perspective, then? We assess their credentials in the Premium Members article below.

THE FORM

Having started the season in poor shape and shipping goals for fun, Fulham have been a tougher nut to crack over the last 13 Gameweeks.

The Cottagers have only been beaten four times in that period, with all of those defeats coming against clubs currenly in the top five.

Parker’s troops have been holding their own against the rest of the division, failing to concede more than two goals in a match since Gameweek 9 – so anyone expecting a bloodbath at Goodison Park on Sunday may be disappointed, although it should be said that Everton were the last team to score three past the Cottagers.

Indeed, from Gameweek 12 onwards, only Manchester City (three) and Arsenal (nine) have conceded on fewer occasions than Fulham (10).

Source: SoccerStats

The defensive improvements haven’t translated into victories, though.

Fulham are on the longest winless run in the top flight, despite losing fewer matches than the likes of Spurs and Chelsea in that time.

Their problem is evident in the table above: with only six goals in their last 12 outings, they are the lowest scorers in the top flight over the period studied.

Really not sure now. 2FT and 3.2m in the bank. I'd like to keep the WC for after GW29.

I wanted to do Forster and Robbo to Pope and Shaw but then won't have anough to do Antonio to Kane in GW26.
I could do Lowton instead of Shaw but then i would need 4.4m defender to replace Coufal in GW26 and then do Antonio to Kane and play BB. Are there any good defenders in that range? What you all thinking?

    Martinez
    Coufal Dias Cancelo
    Gunda Grealish Salah Bruno Soucek
    DCL Antonio

    Forster Bamford Dallas Robbo

Planning 3 changes for -4 to go all out attack, getting rid of Dias and Son to bench boost the below team –

Martinez *Pope Digne Dallas Tarkowski* Cancelo Coufal
Salah Gundo (c) Fernandes Sterling* (vc) Soucek
    DCL Bamford Antonio

Would then WC 25 and TC in 26

    What do you reckon?

Is there a good way to BB 15 DGW players?
People who plan to WC in GW25 to BB in GW26 cant look past Leeds with their nice DGW25 so it means BB in GW26 with them with SGW on bench, right?

I plan to have just 1 SGW player in 26 - Bamford. Will set up my WC with 2 in 25. Will transfer the second one out in 26 for a DGWer.

Didn’t see newcastle match, but toon scored 3 goals from 0.6 XG so presumably McCarthy had a stinker?

He wasn’t at fault for all the goals vs Utd - but the one he let in from Rashford was particularly bad - so he’s certainly not covering himself in glory at the minute

Probably more covering himself in excrement

Saints defensive problems ain't the keeper. He's not doing an Alisson/DDG. KWP and Vestergaard will be back and all will be sweet.

I think if they had a decent backup, McCarthy would be out of the team. I think Forster is probably past it (although did get a clean sheet against Pool). Be interesting if Forster has a good game in the FA Cup considering they play the same team 3 days later in the league.

As I ponder the Antonio situation, something'as just dawned on me. Cavani hasn't been a great option because he's only been playing 90 mins every other game. But we're out of the 2-games-a-week phase for now - until DGWs are sorted out anyway. Plus Ole's finally decided he's the best #9 at the club. So isn't now (Baggies up next) the time to bring in Cavani - and Antonio's fixtures are getting tricky whether he's crocked or not?

Not so much long term prospect in that, imo. I think United will vastly outscore Saints. On the other hand, he'll likely go if Kane or Vardy hit their stride.

I like Cavani indeed. But he's tough to fit in when you have DCL, Bamford and Ings/Kane that are the big draws with doubles.

I don't fancy Ings (or anyone else) to pierce that Chelsea defence. I think Cavani can outscore him over 2 GWs. Kane would require a bit of surgery, almost certainly involving ditching Salah. But that's for another day.

    Martinez
    Cancelo Dias Lowton Cresswell
    Salah Bruno Grealish Gündo

    (Steer Bamford Son Mitchell)

If Antonio is ruled out for GW24 are these transfers worth -8 for BB?

i wouldnt -8 and BB, if a BB is worth around 16-20 points, you've just halved the value of the chip. If you have 2nd WC that strikes me as the best oppertunity. You prob could save and bench antonio (if out)

      1. Karan14
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 2 months ago

        Yeah you are probably right.
I have my 2nd WC but WC25 & BB26 doesn't really sit well unless Soton get a DGW26 and Everton dont.
Not looking to save FT as I definitely want to attack the doubles.
If not BB then ill probably just do Steer to Pope.

Bored, what would be your starting 11 for England at the euros? I’ll go:

      Pickford
      Trent Stones Maguire Shaw
      Henderson Rice
      Sterling Grealish Rashford
      Kane

Prob will be this, dont agree with the Pickford or Trent picks

      1. Mr. O'Connell

Yeah Pickford won't get dropped. I think this is almost spot on. Foden over Rash and the fullbacks are hard to call seeing as we have an abundance of good ones

Shaw/Chilwell/Justin/Trent/James/AWB to name a few. Think you'd have to go with the form picks from that list.

Depends on the opposition though surely, the best 11 for me doesn't mean anything because it would change depending on opposition

For me against "weaker" teams I'd probably say

        Henderson
        TAA Stones Maguire Chilwell
        Henderson Madisson
        Raz grealish Sancho/rashy
        Kane

        1. @persecuted_by_mods
            3 years, 2 months ago

Against a high pressing team you'd want energy and control so Mount Madisson Grealish, against a slower team that plays a high line rashford Sancho sterling closer to Kane

        Hi all,
Trying to figure out if Sterling (TC) this GW is the way to go for me (and others BB'ing in DGW26).

        Pros:
        - SHU was the first PL game this season in which Sterling was rested while KDB was out at the same time. KDB started in all of Sterlings other three benchings (tot, BUR, BRI).
        - 11 attacking returns in his last 11 starts in PL.
        - Captain while KDB is out.

        Cons:
        - Pep roulette
        - Benched in the last PL game against Spurs
        - Benched in the last PL game against Everton
        - Started all of the last four PL games against Arsenal, and got attacking returns in all four

Okay TC maybe not the greatest of ideas after all..

I wouldn't TC Sterling. Only player I would give it to looking at how the games are falling is Kane. Nailed on starter on pens and in form.

Same. I'm waiting for a Spurs DGW with a fit Kane and prolly Fulham as one opponent.

            Agree.

But was set on Sterling (C), and that even feels like a massive risk.
Don't like selling Dias/Cancelo to bring in Gundogan for this week though...

            Areola (C) 😀 ?

Has sterling really returned to form - from the bits of games I watched he hasn’t looked great - has his performance really improved?

Pool game was first time I thought he looked good, burst past 2 players to win the pen, always hanging around the 6 yard box. He’s quite streaky so the trick is going to be if this is the right time to jump on or not

I'd say the collective - the team - are improving as they adjust to Pep's evolution of midfield wingbacks and false 9s. As part of that Sterling is improving. I can see them and him going from strength to strength.

Yes. Pep's recent quote said that Sterling had his best game in months at Anfield. His stats are great with the most shots in the box of all City players. I think he's the best captain this week.

That’s a maybe - they’ve had such an easy run. Allison was awful for that game, that said Everton and spurs haven’t exactly been in top form of late

Got a lot of chances & couple of 1:1's vs. Burnley - wasted majority of them

Right place at right time for Allison's brain fart at Anfield

He'll get chances nearly every game & he'll waste an awful lot of them, then every now & again he won't waste them & will haul - that's Sterling

With two games, you're putting the odds in your favour of him at least doing something, and maybe spiking one of his hauls too

36 BPS with just 1 attacking return is really good. He's really unlucky last game with the missed pen and Foden shooting straight at keeper.

Team GTG this GW? Should I go Tarkowski for goal threat or Lowton for price/value

        Pope
        Cancelo Digne Tarkowski
        Sterling(c) Bruno Son Gundogan Soucek
        DCL Antonio

Me to mate, he did have some crosses last week and even got 3 shots off

Main reason I’m doing it though is because I can then afford laca straight to Kane if I want to make that move

I don’t have WC and gone Mee, I plan a -4 this week and a -4 GW26 to get my ideal bench boost team then I can slowly bleed the money from my squad...

is it looking easy enough to navigate a GW25 WC, BB26 and still have a team for GW29?

We will know after today, but let's assume the following matches will be played in BGW29:

          Fulham - Leeds
          West Ham - Arsenal
          Brighton - Newcastle
          West Brom - Everton

How many from those teams will you have on your GW25 WC?
          Cause you'll have 4 FT's after your WC in GW25 - BGW29

I might use bb this week. If you WC 25 your getting triple Leeds. Even if you use your transfer to get rid of one you’ll still have 2 on the bench. I’d rather have 4 solid single GW players this week and TC Kane

So you're thinking of using the BB this week with single GW players so you don't have to BB in GW26 with single GW players.

        No FH, WC available
        1. Play WC once we have clarity on DGW 26
        2. Navigate as best one can and Play WC after BGW 29.

Is there any consensus on best approach?

Not sure if there is a consensus but my plan at the moment is to try and get the best BB I can in 26. Use FTs to bring in players for 29 then WC for the home straight in 30.

Hi guys, plan to BB26/FH29 but cant decide whether to WC25 or save it for later to optimise squad post the BB.

        I expect to have around 10 dgw26 player and 4FT's till gw26.

        Martinez -- Forster
Cancelo • Digne • Stones --- Coufal Dallas
        Bruno • Salah • Gundo • Grealish • Rashford
        DCL • Antonio --- Bamford

        A: BB26 with 14dgw players by converting Forster/Rashford/Antonio/Dallas >> 4.5m gk + 4.5k def + 5.5m mid + Kane. Might take 2 hits (max) if i want any burnley/saints players.

B: WC25/BB26/FH29. but makes me question that i will be WCing just for Kane and bench players which i can get to with 2 hits

I prefer A, although a DGWK GK could be tricky potentially McCarthy or Sanchez, but very much FA Cup results dependant. Would you be willing to downgrade Salah to Son, as this would give more flexibility with budget

Also looks like 13 DGWK players (Coufal & Bamford)

I plan to remove Fernandes GW26(most would disagree) for Grealish this will allow Antonio to Kane, also Fernandes play City GW27.. Salah possibly has Sheff U(a) Che (h) ( correct me if I’m wrong) which big hitter are people sacrificing for Kane in 26??
