As of this afternoon, we’re rolling out Captain Polls on a daily basis ahead of tomorrow’s 5pm Group A kick-off between Poland and Greece.

With the McDonald’s Uefa game allowing us to change the armband every Matchday in each round of action, Fantasy managers will have plenty of tinkering and decisions to make as the games arrive thick and fast.

Our intention is to update the poll once the first game of each Matchday has kicked off. As usual, you will find the poll in the middle of the main page, with 15 protagonists per day to choose from.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Anyone know what the Italy line up is likely to look like? Is Cassano first choice up front?

Larsson because he plays further forward, but they both share set-pieces so there's not much to choose between the two.

very similar to mine, especially in midfield. That being said I don't like CR7 v Germany, I'd swap him for Lewandowski/Benzema and then do Ibra to CR7 for GW2. If you can I'd also get Kuba in, as I wouldn't double on Polish defence.

      mine atm is

      Chalkias, Given

      Berezutski, Perquis, Alba, Lescott, Strinic

Same mid except Sniejder not Afellay

      Ibra, Lewandowski, Benzema

Anyone struggling to get the right balance in defence and goalkeepers? Not sure whether to double up on the Greek Chalkias and Maniatis for 4.0 each, but could get a clean sheet against Poland. Perquis is the cheapest Polish defender for 4.5 and Berezutski the cheapest Russian defender for 5.5. Is this too many for group A or are we expecting this to be a low scoring group?

      Don't like it at all.

There's better than Cech for 5, Lindegaard won't play. Don't bother with Swedish defence. Abate won't play. M'Vila is injured and will not score well, Iniesta not worth the money. Polanski will not score well.

Strikerforce is good, but there is a huge lack of any German attack.

iniesta doesn't get a lot of love on here, yes he is overpriced, but he is at least nailed on to start
spain italy will have a fair few goals in my opinion. Italy are no longer the quality defensive unit they once were. I think a spain attacking player is essential.

i'm thinking of chancing fabregas at the moment, hoping the rumours of him starting up top gain a bit of momentum before the deadline

Good afternoon 😀 So I guess Konoplyanka is the latest flavour of the day? lol. I did a little research and the Ukranian wonder kid has been receiving a lot of praise. Don't know much about him but he would fill my need for a 6.0M MF. I had initially gone Yarmalenko like everyone else but at 5.5 it gives me more money to invest in my 3rd striker. Thoughts?

Here's my first draft Euro 2012 team:

    Llloris, Andersen
    Alba, Zhirkov, Perquis, Kadlec, Olsson
Sneijder, Iniesta, Schweinsteiger, Shirokov, Keith Andrews
    Benzema, RVP, Jelavic

I made that team in about 15 minutes so I don't expect it to be perfect- but any gaping holes you can pick in it are gratefully received!

most of it is very good. Iniesta is not worth the money, I'd downgrade him to Larsson (you need Swedish attack) and use the cash to swap Schweinseiger to Ozil, Andrews to Kuba, switch Kadlec to a Greek defender.

If you are gonna wc ater GW1, get Ibra over Benzema and Konoplyanka in for Andrews and Kuba for Iniesta.

Nice to see Hughton as the new Norwich manager, I felt sorry for Hughton when he was sacked by Newcastle for no real justifiable reason that we knew of (in hindsight it may have been a masterstroke by Newcastle) and with Lambert moving to pastures new I was afraid Norwich would be certain for relegation. I can see Hughton keeping them up at least this season which must surely be the priority.

    My Euro 2012 Predictions

    - Arshavin will perform better than most expect

    - Ljungberg's reputation will have decreased by the end of the tournament.

    - There will be at least one unknown player who shines at the tournament, and is subsequently purchased by a Premier League club.

    - Italy have been hugely underestimated and will contest for the trophy. Their ball retention and technical ability will prevent Spain from playing.

    - England's attack will be more potent than everyone is expecting. Mainly down to the experience and coaching of Hodgsen, and the experience that many of the players have gained over the year of playing in top BPL teams.

    - Ronaldo will cry

    - Holland will disappoint their fans

    - Ireland will pick up points against one of Italy or Spain.

    - Balotelli will be in the top 5 of top scorers, and will not be given a single red card

    - Downing will gain an assist.

    - No matches will be called off due to racism.

Parker and Gerrard will be key. I watched an interview with Hodgsen talking about tactics and he hates holding midfielders. He thinks central midfielders should do both defending and attacking and he will not just sit back and defend against France. Formation is not important to him, he just selects our best players and puts them in their best positions, and then work the formation around that. He's very involved in training as well, the players are praising him for adding and communicating more than any previous manager.

Some of them are mad and some of them are random but one thing is definite and that is that Downing definitely wont get an assist 😉

He was close in a friendly. He put in a good cross that Carroll failed to connect with properly.

Tzorvas( Greece does not recieve many goals, and he's the first option, so...), Eduardo (Maybe even he'll start, but probably Will replace him after gw1)

Corluka (Croatia's best defender, Croatia hopefully will not recieve a lot of goals, can score with header but can also assist easily if he plays on the side.), Rami ( France will probably not recieve many goals, he is a great defender, can also score), Papadopoulos (I said about Greece, and this guy is the best, 20 yrs old, in 10 int. matches scored 4 times, and Greece goes for goals from the break), Larsson (Sweden hopefully also will not recieve many goals, and he scored 4 goals in 9 matches for Sweden!), Shevchuk (I put him in just because he was the only one with price of 4, and I know him from Shakhtar, plays on the side and can assist maybe)

Ribery (no need to say something), Young (Gonna score or assist surely), Sneider (Also no need to introduce), Shirokov (You know all about him, cheep supply of goals and assists), Marchisio (Costs only 7, and he can score and assist easily, just like he does in Juventus)

Eduardo (Croatias best striker, can score from impossible situations, has that sense of the goal, he wont maybe start, but if he comes in, he's gonna shake things up), Rvp (Even I prefer Huntelaar and Robben, Robin will play as a striker, and has more chance of scoring than Robben, Klaas is on the bench, unfortunately) Ibrahimovic (Probably gonna replace him after gw1, has class and will do well against Ukraine in gw1)

    What do you think?

Greece may not concede many, Tzorvas will concede even less as he won't play. Eduardo will not play, Rui Patricio will.

Neither keeper is a sure starter, in fact Eduardo most probably wont.

Corluka is expensive, Papdopoulos gametime is uncertain, but you will know before start. I like Rami. Will Schechuk play? All substitutes are extremely imporatnt, moreso than normal fantasy.

      I like the midfield.

Questionsmarks over Eduardos playtime, competes with mandzukic for the place behind Jelavic. The other two are great.

Probably planning to WC straight away, cheers!

    Alba and Mandzukic
    vs
    Maniatis and Nasri

Currently have first, but worried about Mandzukic gametime. Have no other Spain cover, and will know whether Maniatis will start or not before the GW starts. Any other suggestions for 14,5 for defender and midfielder?

    Interesting

When I owned Ignashevic Steve Kean told me to captain him over Lewandowski.

When I switched Beruzitsky in, he said I had it right with Lewandowski as skipper.

    What does Steve Kean know?
