Allsvenskan Fantasy – Scout Picks GW4

Gameweek 3 review

Allsvenskan Fantasy contributor @poohdini59 on Twitter has provided these superb summaries of data points from GW3:

Nicolas Stefanelli tops the charts for npxG for GW3 while Alexander Jeremejeff isn’t even in the top 5, despite firing off 10 shots. Plenty of his efforts were blocked or failed to find the target though and his regular xG of 1.22 is brought up significantly by the penalty he got. Isak Bergmann Johannesson will have created some anxiety for his sellers that made him drop to 7.9m in price, given his 10-pointer in Gameweek 3. Jacob Ortmark also sticks out with a whopping 7 key passes in the game away to Häcken.

Malmö continues to impress and were perhaps a bit unlucky to just score once from an xG of 2.53 and 13 shots inside the box.

These images from the same stat-wizard sum up GW1-3:

Again Malmö looks great in terms of underlying attacking numbers, but we also see AIK quite high up alongside a Varberg team that looks to go all-out attack to make up for a frail defence again this season. Will they succeed in staying up with Astrit Selmani and Gustav Norlin leaving the building? I personally doubt it, but it should be entertaining to watch never the less.

    2FT: Chilufya & Nanasi to Lofquist & Kpozo. Chilufya has looked great this season, often occupying a central position and looking a real threat in doing so, so he goes straight back on the watchlist. With him being subbed at HT last week and facing MFF this week, however, I felt that he was expandable. Lofquist in might raise a few eyebrows, but he's slotting in right alongside Bergstrom at the moment and is taking the majority of MAIF's set-pieces: I am surprised that he is yet to return. Has some fantastic fixtures coming up too. Kpozo has looked the best of the cheap mids for me and has a great fixture for first sub this week, so easy move from Nanasi fearing being priced out of AC next week without noticing it (and freeing up a third MFF spot).

    GW4: Nilsson Säfqvist, (Påhlsson);
    Nilsson, Witry, J.Larsson, Jallow, Knudsen;
    Lofquist (V), Haksabanovic, Sana, (Kpozo, Carlén);
    Adegbenro (K), Colak, (Vilhelmsson).

    Small green arrow to 2.2k after GW3. Adegbenro takes the armband for GW4 making it 4 different captains across the opening 4 GWs. Has been getting in some great positions and showing a real confidence to shoot on the ball, finally registering his first of many returns in GW3 (having had one disallowed for offside minutes before). Unless Nyman bursts on to the scene and deprives him of minutes, I can see him exploding sooner rather than later and I will likely hold on to Adegbenro regardless of whether I decide to move Haksabanovic for AC in GW5. Both have been unfortunate, but Adegbenro to a greater extent imo. Good luck all!

      I like both of your transfers. Lofquist is currently my VC. I have high expectations.and hey Adengberro K sounds reasonable

      Adegbenro looks like one of the better Norrköping picks atm, Nyman seems to have an ongoing issue and Levi is so cold that I can’t see him being benched anytime soon

    Having taken a -8 last week (Almebäck, Heintz, Haksa and Jeremejeff to Knudsen, AC, Amoo and Turgott) I think I better hold my transfer this time. Armband probably on Ludwigson for me, hoping he can deliver against the Häcken defence!

      Great captain choice - Hammarby the one area I'm fearing that I don't have covered.

        Thanks! I really like the Adegbenro pick. It's great to see a Rosenborg alumni doing well in Allsvenskan.

    Nice picks, Meltens.

    Looking at a difficult GW myself and keen to save FT:

    Nilsson-Säfqvist
    Larsson, Witry, Knudsen, Jallow, Strand
    Haksabanovic, Sana, Chilifuya, Heinz
    Jeremejieff,

    Subs: Silverholt, Gustafsson, Mortenssen

      Cheers mate! Yeah it’s a tough one, few standout fixtures. Heintz is becoming a problem though but 2 FTs could fix that easier potentially

    Great picks, Meltens. Spot on with the Jeremjeff comment. His shots have been of poor quality. And yes, Varbergs is the team to target

      The Jermeister will come good though but I think it will be hard to look past his lack of bonus when he’s not scoring week in week out. The goals will come, but Nyman won the golden boot last season without really being a good fantasy option

    Sticking true to the formula of following the scout picks and ones to watch articles, I've made a simple swap to grab Mitov Nilsson in goal.
    Everything else remains the same.

    Larsson is the captain as suggested so lets see what happens!

      Mitov Nilsson looks great, I’d love to squeeze in Seb Larsson myself but can’t find a spot yet, might have to wait until after the double!

    Had a bad start to the season, currently all the way down at 15k. Because of this, I was forced to change things up a bit and take a hit, with Chilufya and Jeremejeff making way for Ludwigson and Turgott (who I'm likely to captain).

    I don't like the look of my team, so I'm likely to play the WC soon.

    Jansson
    Witry - Jallow - Knudsen - Nilsson
    Haksabanovic - Sana - Ludwigson (WC) - Heintz
    Edvardsen - Turgott (C)
    (Gal - Hellborg - Silvertholt - Olsson)

      Looks good tbh, try to hang on to the WC until GW9 if you can as there’s a long international break and summer transfer window

        Indeed, the IB and the summer transfer window makes hanging on to the WC an option, but it really depends on the OR in the upcoming GWs. I feel like I've backed all the wrong players, while Hammarby assets, Christiansen etc. have delivered from the start.

        Nice!

          Maybe Seb.L would be a good choice?!

    Not a great week for me, I'm inclined to be patient with my team but could be dependent on Alm's injury. Hadn't factored penalties into picking Käck over Witry. Glad I brought in Ishaq Abdulrazak, bonus points ticking over nicely and looks quite involved at 5.5m.

    If like me you've been watching highlights via YouTube until now, expressen.se looks the best place going forward.

      https://www.discoveryplus.se/program/allsvenskan-hojdpunkter should work for free I think, highlights for all the games.
