Live FPL updates from Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has once again gone heavy with rotation as Manchester City take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Sergio Aguero (£10.3m) makes his first start in eight games, with Guardiola making eight changes from the Citizens’ 2-1 win at Paris-Saint Germain on Wednesday.

Ruben Dias (£6.1m), Kyle Walker (£6.1m), Ilkay Gundogan (£5.7m), Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m), Bernardo Silva (£7.4m), Phil Foden (£6.0m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.0m) all move to the bench for City.

John Stones (£5.1m), who also started the Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG, is serving the second match of a three-game ban.

Only Ederson (£6.1m), Joao Cancelo (£5.9m) and Rodrigo (£5.3m) keep their places from the victory in Paris, as Guardiola gives a host of key players a breather ahead of the second leg next Tuesday.

For Crystal Palace, the big FPL news is that Tyrick Mitchell (£3.8m) earns a first start since Gameweek 25.

The young left-back replaces Patrick van Aanholt (£5.4m), while Roy Hodgson’s other change from the GW33 defeat at Leicester sees Andros Townsend (£5.5m) preferred to Jordan Ayew (£5.6m).

With Double Gameweek 35 confirmed, Eagles attacker Wilfried Zaha (£7.1m) will be blipping on the Fantasy radar. Hodgson’s team travel to both Sheffield United and Southampton in DGW35.

With no updates on social media this weekend, we will bring you live updates on all goals and assists from Selhurst Park, which you can follow below.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Mitchell, Dann, Kouyaté, Ward; Townsend, Riedewald, Milivojevic, Eze; Zaha, Benteke.

Manchester City XI: Ederson; Mendy, Laporte, Ake, Cancelo; Fernandinho, Rodri; Gabriel Jesus, Sterling, Torres; Aguero.

His main strength is making excellent runs into the box for usually tap ins. That doesnt happen anymore with a more cemtral build up in this team

          Spot on imo

The dynamic of City attack seems to have changed this season - it's largely been about revolving threats through the middle. That for me has also taken away some of the appeal of KdB. Still a great player but now more of one cog in the wheel than the one everything revolves around.

Absence of Kun perhaps the critical factor in the change.

    4. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON
      • 7 Years

Was always over rated. Would even miss tap ins. We make fun of Timo. Sterling usually needed more chances than Timo to convert. The thing is City used to produce more for him to shin them in. That supply from the flanks has reduced.

OMG you're right, that's what it is! That noise has been driving me mad since yesterday but I had no idea what was causing it. I was troubleshooting my audio for hardware and software issues! Could try just muting that tab in the browser I suppose.

Good idea! I didn't know you can mute individual tabs.

Actually, it looks like you can't in the latest Chrome version, but there is an extension you can download that allows it.

Or, you know, FFS could just stop adding annoying new 'features', that'd work too.

What’s worse is you turn off the update in the bell icon & following page or refresh you have to do it again!

I didn't even want to press the bell, didn't know what it was for. Thought it might subscribe me to notifications or something!

I didn't notice the bell but a bit of a pain if you have to do it every page refresh.

In my Chrome right-clicking on a tab gives a mute site option.

Bit of a mystery how Brighton line up with that lot - know you're expecting midfield but it could be anything. Real danger is that Potter shuffles completely half way through.

Mods, it's becoming difficult to land on a comment. I understand and agree with the concept of the blackout on social-media platforms, but I never followed you on twitter anyway. I'd like to get the opinion of the guys on this site rather than listen to a minute playback I could get from the beeb or other. Boy's switch it off! It's annoying!

This was the trial really! Wasn't working, so back to the drawing board - think it was just about making sure people could still be in the loop without the ease of play by play updates on social media. Always want to offer as much as possible, but this one clearly proved to be more detrimental than useful so it was scrapped 🙂

For the record, this wasn't the mods - they work hard but on other things, they don't deserve any kicking here 😉
