Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout can now get their own Transfer Planner to help with their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) preparations for the 2021/22 season.

In a laboratory nestled deep under Scout Towers for the last few months, our very own Az has been joined by Rob and James, the brains behind the Championship Manager FPL game, in concocting a Transfer Planner exclusively for Fantasy Football Scout subscribers.

FPL pre-season: Trossard hits hat-trick from wing-back role 1

The Planner allows you to enter your FPL team as it currently is and then to set to work on what you would like it to become over the next few weeks, taking account of transfers, captaincies, chips and formation preferences.

The road ahead is kept up to date for you via a link to the Fantasy Football Scout Season Ticker and, if you think we’ve been a little too harsh on the Burnley attack or not given the Southampton defence enough credit, you can tweak the ratings to your satisfaction (or wildest dreams, as appropriate).

HOW TO USE IT

To get started, you fill in your player selections in the dropdown at the top of each player box on the Planner tab. Typing in the first few letters of a player name, or even “4.5” or “MUN” brings up a relevant shortlist to choose from.

Those same dropdown boxes are used to select your potential transfer targets in the columns for coming Gameweeks and your proposed starting XIs are indicated by tick boxes. Your transfer plans will be neatly summarised via In and Out sections at the foot of each Gameweek column.

If you want to narrow your focus to the next couple of unusual Gameweeks or jump ahead to consider the consequences of a hit there are “+” and “-” options for hiding and re-showing columns at the top of the Planner and Fixture Ticker tabs.

If your chosen FPL device doesn’t have an attached keyboard then downloading Google’s “Sheets” tab provides full functionality for mobiles and tablets.

HOW TO GET ONE

You’ll need to be an FFS Member to request your Transfer Planner. A link to the request form is available at the left-hand side of the Premium Members area. Fill that out and your sheet will be on its way, though please be patient during this initial release as each one must currently be despatched manually.

Once your Transfer Planner arrives, it may take 20-30 seconds to load when you first use it. The Transfer Planner needs an internet connection to stay active and may sometimes need to be refreshed to re-establish the link.

We genuinely think we’ve created something that’s simple, clean and that Fantasy managers will really benefit from using. Fill in the form now to start sorting your Jotas from your Willocks and paving the way for that pre-planned early Wildcard.

    Feel like I'm getting close.

    Sanchez 4.0
TAA Shaw Coufal Tsimakis / White
Salah Bruno Barnes / Raphina Brownhill
    Ings Antonia Toney

    0.5 in the bank.

Need to bench one of Toney, Coufal, Tsimaks, and Raphina. Got it right?

Yeah I agree this is the best structure. I've gone Ayling over Coufal to keep 1m ITB. I would bench Coufal personally but if you get a 4.5 over him it'll be easier. West ham shouldn't be as good this year with Europe....

    Current draft, any changes?

    Sanchez, Foster
    TAA, Shaw, White*, Ayling, Amartey
    Salah, Bruno, Jota*, Barnes, Raphinia*
    Ings, Antonio, Obafemi*

    A) Amartey, White, Jota, Raphinia, Barnes, Ings
    B) Tsimikas, White, Son, Gilmour, Barnes, Watkins
    C) Tsimikas, White, Son, Gilmour, Raphinia, Ings
    D) Tsimikas, Coufal, Mahrez, Gilmour, Barnes, Ings.

      TAA > Tsimikas
      Jota > Son ( must have for GW 2 3 and 4)
As long as you dont put in the Covid hyped Grealish you should be alright.

What would you change here? 0.5m ITB

    Sanchez
    TAA Shaw Coufal
    Salah Bruno Barnes Raphinha
    Toney Ings Antonio

    Foster Tsimikas Brownhill Ayling

Coufal -> Amartey gives me 1.5m ITB and easy decision to start Tsimikas. What would you do here and how would you improve the team with 1.5m?

Strong team but Tsimikas is a waste if you're not even going to play him - transfer waiting to happen and takes up a pool slot

wouldn't touch Amartey if you already have Tsimikas since Leicester are after Vestergaard. Looks like a good template team to me. If you want to have exactly the same team as me you can do Coufal to White and Raphinha to Greenwood.

    Good to go?

    Schmeichel

    Foster amartey veltman bissouma

I agree, so many options but the FFS groupthink is the same. The only difference between sides I see is the 5.5-7.5 mids and maybe the odd defender

Think there's a bit of fear of highly owned players starting off well and your hurting rank. Also a lot of chat in the last few weeks about getting off to a solid start and not falling behind early but my experience is the template often gets off to a slow start

A, if you have Tsimikas you might as well start him whilst Robertson in out. Otherwise you are using a Liverpool place and a transfer when Robertson is back.

New draft because of Ziyech, thoughts?

    Sanchez (Foster)
    Shaw Coufal Tsimikas (White Amartey)
Salah (c) Bruno Son Barnes (Gilmour
    Ings Antonio Toney

    3-4-3, 0.5m ITB

Would upgrade Amartey but I dont like any of the 4.5 options, can upgrade Barnes to Gundogan GW2 and will probably use early WC anyway (never have been able to resist it)

Good to see you on here Doos, hope all good with you. Lots of good midfield options this year...Son or Mahrez is what I'm weighing up. Feel like Mahrez for first 2 and can reconsider after that and potentially switch

        Nailed on for me.
Loves a goal vs City. City also look to be starting slowly.
        On fire in pre season.
Likely playing up top GW1, possibly through to GW3 if Kane is still there but if Kane goes he will likely be up top for the foreseeable.
        On Pens?!
        Captain option in GW3/4

I've got him. Relatively low ownership (he was c.50% last season, currently 22%), likely playing up front for Spurs.
Great fixtures GW2-4, and reckon City won't be that solid in GW1 either.
Prefer to get him now than planning a transfer for Gw2/3.

I have him, had Havertz with 1.5itb to move to him in GW2 but I figured booking in a transfer isn't great if I can avoid it and Son is capable of bagging points v City anyway, and Havertz getting 120 mins last night certainly makes me feel even more comfortable having done it. Think I might end up captaining him v Wolves too

Thoughts on this draft? Any thoughts on Benrahma v Soucek? Sancho in place of Bruno would free me to strengthen elsewhwere? Bruno has been pants for a while now...? Is it too early for Grealish?

Sancho was in a lot of drafts earlier, now has dropped out completely... only b/c he'll start on the bench GW1. But I still fancy getting him in early (starting mahrez but will switch maybe gw3/4). Rest of the Utd attack (except Bruno obv) isn't really inspiring me: James, Martial, Greenwood... meh

I wouldn't be BB in GW1 (save for a double GW, post second WC).

      Greenwood/Beundia/Barnes is my main decision

People underestimate Greenwoods potential. Very good chance to play 90 mins and move upfront after Martial has been subbed

Is going without TAA complete madness?

Hasn’t been in any if my drafts yet. I dont like investing heavily in Defence initially as there tends tj be less clean sheets, and think Shaw and possibly Digne offer better value

This season, I think it will definitely be a problem. There are so many good cheap players that you can also be successful completely without premium options.
Especially here, you shouldn't do without TAA. He is more of a midfielder on the field, opens up the game, nailed on standards (likely to take Robbo's corners too), assists goals,. For me he's the only player who is always "essential".

For now, sure. Will see if team news throws anything up though, so "gtg" is a loose term at this point.

Why are people starting with Coufal? Don't they know Wilson will get a brace at least? 😀

Coufal is attacking, can play RWB if Moyes goes for a back 3.
When he won Signing of the season in the Hammer awards he mentioned how he was annoyed that he lost his little competition with Cresswell for assists.
      Potentially they're fixture indifferent:

How’s this draft looking? Should Coufal start ahead of Shaw?

    Sanchez
    TAA, Tsimikas, Coufal
    Salah, Bruno, Greenwood, Benrahma
    Ings, Toney, Antonio

    Subs: Steele, Coufal, Veltman, Gilmour

anyone doing a GW1 BB? With two playing 4.0s could it be a good opportunity to start strong and get it out the way?

cool, sounds interesting, can i have a peak of your BB team?

    4. If you're ever going to BB in GW1, this is probably the time to do it, but it's not something I will be doing.

not a bad idea to get it out of the way. i find it a very hard chip to use because it involves screwing up your team structure to have a full bench which ultimately costs transfers/wildcard to fix

yeah, Bachman, Tsikmas, amarty 6/6.5 attacker/mid can grab you 12 points. The ceiling of a BB is 20, Do you save 8 points over the season by getting it out the way and focusing on your 11?

I want to but I feel like I would need a playing keeper and third forward which messes up the rest of the squad.

i agree but with some premium options like KDB, Kane, Sancho, Lukaku maybe an early WC is an option so your team isnt a mess for long

Which two of these would you have with 14.0 to spend?

    1) Wilson 7.5
    2) Toney 6.5
    3) Gundo 7.5
    4) Greenwood 7.5
    5) Raph 6.5

    Currently on Gundo and Raph.

It comes down to Raph vs Toney and Gundo vs Wilson vs Greenwood.

I'd discount Toney and Greenwood out of that set.

Just checked your team after your reply.

Very similar teams if you pick B.

      Raph & Ayling v Torres & Amartey.

(I’m not fussed on Leeds yet, also Harrison would be my pick.)
