Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout can now get their own Transfer Planner to help with their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) preparations for the 2021/22 season.

In a laboratory nestled deep under Scout Towers for the last few months, our very own Az has been joined by Rob and James, the brains behind the Championship Manager FPL game, in concocting a Transfer Planner exclusively for Fantasy Football Scout subscribers.

FPL pre-season: Trossard hits hat-trick from wing-back role 1

The Planner allows you to enter your FPL team as it currently is and then to set to work on what you would like it to become over the next few weeks, taking account of transfers, captaincies, chips and formation preferences.

The road ahead is kept up to date for you via a link to the Fantasy Football Scout Season Ticker and, if you think we’ve been a little too harsh on the Burnley attack or not given the Southampton defence enough credit, you can tweak the ratings to your satisfaction (or wildest dreams, as appropriate).

HOW TO USE IT

To get started, you fill in your player selections in the dropdown at the top of each player box on the Planner tab. Typing in the first few letters of a player name, or even “4.5” or “MUN” brings up a relevant shortlist to choose from.

Those same dropdown boxes are used to select your potential transfer targets in the columns for coming Gameweeks and your proposed starting XIs are indicated by tick boxes. Your transfer plans will be neatly summarised via In and Out sections at the foot of each Gameweek column.

If you want to narrow your focus to the next couple of unusual Gameweeks or jump ahead to consider the consequences of a hit there are “+” and “-” options for hiding and re-showing columns at the top of the Planner and Fixture Ticker tabs.

If your chosen FPL device doesn’t have an attached keyboard then downloading Google’s “Sheets” tab provides full functionality for mobiles and tablets.

HOW TO GET ONE

You’ll need to be an FFS Member to request your Transfer Planner. A link to the request form is available at the left-hand side of the Premium Members area. Fill that out and your sheet will be on its way, though please be patient during this initial release as each one must currently be despatched manually.

Once your Transfer Planner arrives, it may take 20-30 seconds to load when you first use it. The Transfer Planner needs an internet connection to stay active and may sometimes need to be refreshed to re-establish the link.

We genuinely think we’ve created something that’s simple, clean and that Fantasy managers will really benefit from using. Fill in the form now to start sorting your Jotas from your Willocks and paving the way for that pre-planned early Wildcard.

Crazy to consider Brentford GK to start with?

Prefer attacking threat of Brighton defenders more at 4.5/5 and don't want to double up while Foster's ownership and potential price drop makes me not want Watford keepers

Unsure if DCL is fully fit and he’s the main beneficiary. Leaky at the back last season so reliant mostly on the attack. He’s a good pick but I think there are other options in the same bracket (Coufal etc).

    Thoughts on this BBGW1 team?

    Sanchez
    TAA, Shaw, Amartey
    Salah, Bruno, Gundogan, Benhrama
    Ings, Antonio, Toney

    Bachmann, ESR, Veltman, Tsimikas

Suspect I'd be better off downgrading Ings to someone like Wilson and upgrading one of the 4.0s to a 4.5 but don't want to put more money on the bench just yet.

In my case anyway it's because a) he's nailed on, b) he's playing in pretty much the same circumstances that saw him take on more attacking responsibility last season and c) he's 1.5m cheaper than Mahrez.

For a few weeks, that'll do.

This isn't really a RMT (ok it is a little bit), I'd like any views as to weakness - I think its not exactly template as there are some riskier picks:

    Bachmann / Foster
    TAA / Tsimikas / Shaw / James / White
    Bruno / Son / Havertz / Jota / Benrahama
    Ings / Antonio / 4.5

I think I prefer 5 in the middle given the number of potential options at each price point. Antonio can become any other 7.5 option.

      Not bad bench

Digne without DCL fit is a no

Grealish too soon but could still create if he comes off the bench on Sunday

Gundo - I’ve gone for Torres as a differential

No Bruno - I think this could hurt you long term

Nice to see a line up without Toney (I’ve gone for Toney btw!!)

    Middle priced mid option:

    A) Raphina
    B) Buendia (provided fit)
    C) Benrahma

Thoughts and reasons on selecting appreciated. Admittedly I completely over looked A in my initial drafts, but he seems popular on here and did do the the job for me last season.

      A) Should provide excellent value during the season (as well as Harrison). Nailed. Early fixtures are tough and I'll probably get him later.

      B) Should offer excellent value IF fit and IF nailed. Early fixtures are fantastic, but fitness is a question mark and there's also rotation risk. Was in my team earlier, but feels like there are many options in 6.0-7.0 bracket that are more nailed.

      C) Great pre-season and good fixtures. Not 100 percent nailed but will get a good chance at the start of the season. In my team for the first 3 or 4 GWs. After that will probably transfer him for Ralphinha or Harrison.

As a villa fan, I think B will be fairly nailed. I also see him take a lot of set pieces which could be huge.

Thanks for your assessment, I think you’ve made some good points. If fit I’m going to go B and look to switch to A after GW3. Best of luck for the season.

Any Chelsea fans here with an opinion on the wingback situation? I currently have James and it doesn't look like he's had much of a preseason. Chilwell in the same boat too? Is it looking like there won't be enough game time to justify Chelsea wingbacks?

CHO and Alonso will probably start again on Saturday vs Palace. Chilwell and James have yet to really feature in pre-season so will probably play the in-house friendly on Monday vs Weymouth and then be assessed for their readiness to play Arsenal the following Sunday.
