Team Reveals

FPL team reveals: Who I’m replacing Kostas Tsimikas with for Gameweek 3

Five-time top 1k FPL finisher Tom Freeman on Calvert-Lewin, Wolves and his Gameweek 2 plans

Ahead of Gameweek 3, I have two free transfers and £0.5m in the bank.

The graphic below shows how I’m currently set up prior to making any transfers, and as you can see, I need to prioritise a defensive move to ensure I have four starters.

I’d also like to have two frees for the international break, so any further adjustments will have to wait.

So, onto my transfer then.

I hear he's taking a massive wage cut on his Juve salary. Nothing official yet.

John Murtough is having a great start to his new role. Varane and Sancho were good prices too.

I read that as every team would want him rather than we are matching the bid that juve expect, from all credible journalists like Romano it seems city wouldn't pay the amount thus Ronaldo looked at other options

Hard to tell what he does if both teams are paying the bid required

I would never trust a word that comes out of Pep’s mouth.

The way I see it, Pep was reluctant & did not want to pay a fee + lose players like Jesus & Sterling.

Utd on the hand were ready to have him.

Of course Ronaldo chose Utd because of the bond & because they were willing to pay a fee for him. Probably even offered him more salary than City were willing to offer.

If City were actually ready Ronaldo would probably gave gone there imo

City said they wouldn't pay for him. This is already known. Juve are more than happy to get that for him.

He fits at United, he never fitted at City. PSG was out. City was only an option for him for CL reasons . . .but City never seemed like they wanted him, fans wouldn't appreciate him. There was never even a question here.

Juve has lacked a creative presence for several years now, and Bruno can be that player he thrives upon.

Juventus was clearly on their way down with loads of old players, no investment apart from CR7 was made. He was the reason they kept at the top. In the champions league it was obvious they're lagging behind...

Really? It seemed like they were utterly dominant in their own league and champions League wise were very close hence signing Cristiano to push them over the line, his time there was a failure

I'm in that very same "no need to WC boat", and took the hit to get DCL. Will have to ship Ings at some point, and Ings + Bruno to Cr7 and Sarr/Harrison looks decent for a -4 (or just wait another week)

Is a straight transfer from Toney > Ronaldo an option next GW? Depends if set on DCL or not. My original plan was to get DCL in but not for a hit

eh, I'd still hold if you can afford the price drop. Toney might still be a great enabler at 6.5 - he's looked decent so far without scoring and I've no doubt he will score soon.

PSG and Man United miles clear in the Champions League race then. A lot of pressure on Ole this season, but with his pedigree and the sheer quality in the squad this year, he'll have to go and get it done.

What a sequence of events: man eats bat -> Ed Woodward resigns -> United sign Sancho, Varane & CR7 (3 of their top 5 most valued players) in the same window. Stuff of dreams.

To be honest, I don't think Man United is anywhere near being favourites for the Champions League. Collective is more important than individuals in the CL imho, (see Liverpool or Chelsea last year). But it's always a game of chances, so anything can happen at the end of the year

They'll still probably get knocked out in the group phase again, Ronaldo or not. Unlikely to win anything under Solksjaer

Ronaldo in, Ronaldo player / manager next year, Ronaldo manager following year.

Ole is irrelevant as he's always been. City and Chelsea have better teams and managers.

Ole will prove his worth this season. He has consistently gotten phenomenal performances from a dismal United side. He's going to have a field day with these world beater lads.

Seriously considering Bruno to Son (C) now, no point in keeping Bruno to be honest without captaining him. This gives you captaincy covered till GW7 (Salah captain in GW4, 5, 6) when you can move for Lukaku.

He will probably be a good option for GW4, but don't think it's worth tearing up a team to captain Ronaldo for just 1 GW. But I'll see how high his ownership will be.

Ronaldo news has only changed one thing for me by gw5 Greenwood out. Gw4 I still plan Ings and Vardy out - Lukaku and DCL in.-4 and captain Lukaku

          Plan to wildcard gw5

          To something like this:
          Schmeichel (Sanchez)
          Robertson -Trent-Samedo- (Livramento - Duffy)
          Sarr-Raphinha-Salah-Benrahma (Gilmour)
          Lukaku-DCL-Antonio

If not enough cash by gw5 get Coady instead of Samedo

I can live with Spurs - Man U and Man U given fixture issues and rotation
