Team Reveals

FPL team reveals: Who I’m replacing Kostas Tsimikas with for Gameweek 3

Five-time top 1k FPL finisher Tom Freeman on Calvert-Lewin, Wolves and his Gameweek 2 plans

Ahead of Gameweek 3, I have two free transfers and £0.5m in the bank.

The graphic below shows how I’m currently set up prior to making any transfers, and as you can see, I need to prioritise a defensive move to ensure I have four starters.

I’d also like to have two frees for the international break, so any further adjustments will have to wait.

So, onto my transfer then.

I think so. He didnt play at all during the week and I think pepe might get dropped. He'll probably play on the left with odegaard in the middle

likely defence will have to be TAA 4.5 Duffy Livramento Williams
Mid will have to be Benrahma Gray Raph
Lukaku CR7 frontline without Antonio, likely a 4.5 and play 442

          Sanchez • Steele
          Trent • Ayling • Duffy • Livramento • Williams
          Salah • Raph • Benrahma • Sarr • 4.5
          CR7 • Lukaku • DCL

          3-4-3. Doesn’t look terrible!

Not bad, but I would prefer 4-3-3
that allows for example Coufal and slightly better defenders.

So I've put this WC draft together with 3 premium hitters. Assumption is Ronaldo is at most 12.5M and I have exactly 0.2 ITB to do Kane > Ronaldo (C) in GW4. How does it look?

    Sanchez Steele
    TAA Ayling Coady White Livramento
    Salah Benrahma Sarr Traore McArthur
    Kane Lukaku Antonio

Best move here? If B/C then maybe WCGW4 to sort defence, lose Barnes/Ings/Toney/Greeny and get Ronny!

    A) Tsim -> Livramento (2FTs for next week)
    B) Salah & Toney -> Son(c) & DCL
    C) Salah & Toney -> Benny & Kane(c)

    Sanchez
    Trent, Shaw, Tsim
    Salah, Bruno, Greenwood, Barnes
    Antonio, Ings, Toney

    Steele, Brownhill, White, Veltman
    Bank 0.0m, 2FT

They've got the cash if they need it, waiting for Haaland was option two with Kane which they chose rather than be hostage to Levy ; if Haaland goes to PSG City are out of options next year.

Amazing set up for rest of season, though - City and Liverpool don't have an "Elite" striker, Chelsea, Spurs and ManU do - means different formations, tactics etc. These may be famous last words, but honestly could be one of the closest races in years.

Liverpool just have Mo Salah who scores goals for fun though.

I think you have to set up with a premium mid and a premium striker slot and you just change with the fixtures as they sweeten for a particular player …… Kane to lakaku to Ronaldo etc … KDB to Bruno to Salah etc etc …

Best player (defender or midfield) for max 6.0 (I already own Coufal and Benrahma). Could be Shaw, Traoré, Sarr, Gray, Mbeumo, someone else?

PSG are trying to nab him, City would have no option but to move on him.

Unpopular opinion but United would be much better off using that money for trying to sign Camavinga

      Totally agree.

      Personally wont touch Ronaldo.

Good finisher but poor on free kicks and a much worse penalty record than Bruno.

Man U have a glaring weakness in defensive midfield and unless they address it they will be back fighting for top four rather than challenging for the title.

This signing looks like a vanity/sentimental signing rather than a rational one.

It's a VERY rational business signing, if not a footballing one. They'll make money back in spades on merchandise etc., plus they will use CR to lure other targets to the club AND he may actually get them deeper into the CL knock-out phases.

Wouldn't surprise me if they still get the kid

For sure, but…it’s money they will also be earning. Don’t forget - they will earn more on him than they will pay 😉
PSG generated income of €23.7m in the first few minutes after announcing the deal for Lionel Messi.

As a Bruno/Greenwood/Barnes owner and had planned to ship out Ings next week, the WC is looking pretty tempting for international break

Ayling starts ; Robbo trained all week but there's no rush . . . sounds 50/50 at best.
