Mark Sutherns’ FPL Gameweek 7 preview and latest team plans

Friday night finds Mark Sutherns back alongside Andy for another members-only chat to ease us into Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 7. You can find this latest video over on our YouTube channel.

The video is an exclusive for Premium Members – and there’ll be plenty more to come in 2021/22.

This week’s episode begins with Mark stepping aside to allow Andy to enjoy the glory of a huge green arrow from Gameweek 6, as a 69-point return put him inside the top 200k.

From then on, the pair embark on their preview of Saturday and Sunday’s fare as they discuss the recent rash of defensive injuries, the lure of the Wildcard and – once again – the appeal of the Chelsea and Manchester City rearguards.

As usual, they also review their own line-ups, with Andy enjoying a purple patch and the luxury of rolling two transfers over the break, while Mark is rather pessimistically bracing himself for another red arrow.

    Peoples thoughts on zaha vs gallagher? Leaning towards zaha since he is on pens and more of a known quantity. At the moment I do not need the extra money I get for taking gallagher instead.

          The IB is coming up. Anything can happen such an injury. I am getting Cancelo myself but not for GW7.

          I would rather skip this week and get him in for GW8.

          You will also have 2 FT's over the IB if you save this week so if you have no massive concerns with your team, you could delay your WC by another week depending on when you plan to use it.

    I'm trying to not pay attention to price rises as much this year but can't help but notice tonight may lead to a 0.7-0.8 increase in the desirable Chelsea/Man City assets for GW8 WC's compared with GW 7's.

    Will be interesting to see if the likes of Sarr/Benny/Shaw can reward holders with a decent final showing

      I did. Brought raphinha (-4). Good run of fixtures. No Bamford. He will be heavily involved and leeds are good at only 1 thing. Attack

      Debating this for weeks. Raph should be in imo. He's too good and too much value. If we operate on the assumption that is true, then there is an argument.

      United's fixtures get pretty crappish here soon. This has caused me to consider only having Ronaldo as United assets (i shipped Shaw weeks ago and good riddance).

      Greenwood still starts, but he has poor chemistry with Ronnie. But, he did have 8 shots in the CL game, so does Ole discard him? Rashford will need time for match fitness and Lingard legitimately plays better with Ronnie.

      I'm going to move him out but i may wait until after the Everton and Leicester fixtures. After that, unless he sets the league on fire, he's gone forever.

        Yeah I have the same thoughts about Greenwood. I just made the transfer to Raphinha. I also think there is a slight chance that Greenwood will be given a rest and Lingard given a start. Lingard seems to link up better with Ronaldo, and I don't want to risk Greenwood being benched when Raphinha has such a great fixture at home to Watford. I also have a strong enough bench to risk Raphinha not playing in GW8.
