Fantasy Football Scout wins ‘best editorial’ at Football Content Awards 2021

Fantasy Football Scout has been voted as the ‘best editorial’ in Fantasy Football for 2021.

Scout scooped the accolade at the Football Content Awards, which took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London last week.

The competition in our category was fierce with Fantasy Football Hub, All About FPL, Planet FPL, Who Got The Assist?, Fantasy Football Fix, The Draft Society and Fantasy Football Geek all nominated.

We’d also like to congratulate FPL BlackBox and The FPL Wire for their fully deserved wins in the ‘best video’ and ‘best podcast’ categories, plus Let’s Talk FPL who took home the silver award.

But, most importantly, we are also hugely grateful for the ongoing support and interest (not to mention votes!) from our readers, viewers and listeners, who have for years helped us maintain our position as the number one resource for Fantasy Football.

We would not be where we are now without you, and we cannot thank you enough.

    Bench one.

    A) Benrahma (TOT)
    B) Sarr (eve)
    C) Livra (BUR)

If Rudiger is out for the weekend the player first on bench would come in.

Difficult one. I have Sarr and plan to play Livra ahead of him. I think Benrahma at home against Spurs is better than Everton away for Sarr (plus Watford being awful) so by process of deduction I'd probably bench Sarr. Definitely wouldn't bench Benrahma

    GW8 Mini-League Leaders:

This is a report on the leaders of various Fantasy Football Scout FPL mini-leagues and community competitions after Gameweek 8, together with news about the latest FFS Live Hall of Fame update .

    ** FFSCOUT OPEN FPL LEAGUE

New entry Zakaria Dagana comes straight in at number one in the Fantasy Football Scout mini-league ( https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/68048/standings/c, league code gsnskx). He has also risen to number two in the world, only two points behind Ryan Agalawatta, and has not yet played any chips apart from his wildcard in Gameweek 5.

It is now the third Best League in FPL, based on the average scores of the top five managers in each league, with youtube.com/letstalkfpl still first. Our current top five are Zakaria Dagana, JT Venter, Temidayo Bankole, Ruha Shane Kinghen and Thanks FPL MATE (Dan), all of whom are in the overall top 66.

    ** FFSCOUT COMMUNITY MEMBERS LEAGUE

Daniel Masson-Abraham leads for a second week in the Fantasy Football Scout Members mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/361/standings/c), which is also open to all, and has risen to 5th overall. The league code is visible in the widget on the FFS Home Page when signed in, but only those with a registered FFS account (paid or free) will be eligible for prizes.

    ** LAST MAN STANDING

See http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2021/07/24/the-last-man-standing-competition-2021-2022/ for details of TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing competition (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/26234/standings/c, league code 6dcode).

The highest scorer in Gameweek 8 was Sherin V S, who played his wildcard for 83 points.

The safety score was 47, with 142 teams to be removed and 2,116 going through to Gameweek 9. It will remain open till Gameweek 22, but new entrants must pass all the previous safety scores (Home - torresmagiclms.simplesite.com) to qualify.

    ** HEAD-TO-HEAD LEAGUES

Martin Stubbs is still top of League 1 in MIR’s FFS Head-to-Head Leagues (www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/head-to-head-leagues/), with 21 points, and is 699th in the newly updated FFS Live Hall of Fame.

Filip Suchta in League 3 Division 1 has a maximum 24 points after eight straight wins, and so do three managers in League 6, seven in League 7, 20 in League 8 and 24 in League 9.

    ** TOPS AND VETS

Dirty Dave leads for a fifth week in my Top 10k Any Season mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/1378/standings/c, league code kgmryk) and is now 117th overall.

Paul Stow leads for a sixth week in my Multiple Top 10k Finishes mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/1386/standings/c, league code 03t1fd), which is for teams with two or more top 10,000 finishes, and is now 2,287th overall.

Apart from one interloper, Paul also leads for a fifth week in PDM’s Top 1k ANY season mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/10031/standings/c, league code 01ef8y).

Jonathan Tan is the new leader in Jed Alexander’s Top 100 Any Season mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/194472/standings/c, league code pztxjt) after playing his wildcard and has risen to 6,740th overall. He finished 81st in 2014/15 and 4,117th in 2017/18.

2018/19 FPL champion Adam Levy is the new leader in Simon March’s FPL Champions League (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/2594/standings/c).

Ray Freeman leads for a third week in Chaballer’s Hall of Fame Top 1k mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/39527/standings/c, league code 1zpaad) and has risen to 2,577th overall. He is now 40th in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

Craig Johnson (Bouncebackability) leads for a fourth week in Skooldaze’s FPL Vets 2006 or before mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/25315/standings/c, league code hz9bz2). He is now 4,993rd overall and 36th in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

    ** MODS, CONS AND FAMILY

Andy LTFPL leads for a second week in the FFS Mods & Cons mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/366/standings/c). He has had three top 10k finishes (1,294th last season) and is now 89th in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

And last but not least, Obay Eid (FPL_Milanista) leads for an eighth week in the FFS Family mini-league (fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/342/standings/c). He is now 217th overall and 76th in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

** FFS LIVE HALL OF FAME

The FFS Live Hall of Fame (which, unlike the FFS Career Hall of Fame, can only be viewed by Premium Members) was updated during the international break after Gameweek 7, and 62,578 managers participating in the Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Scout Members mini-leagues are now ranked in it. The new top ten, with FFS Career Hall of Fame positions in brackets, is:
    1(1) Pro Pundit Fábio Borges.
    2(2) Tom Stephenson.
    3(3) Finn Sollie.
    4(7) Jon Ballantyne.
    5(4) Morten Tveito.
    6(11) Ilmari Juva.
    7(6) Mark Mansfield.
    8(8) Garry Murray (Sharky’s Machine).
    9(27) Matt Corbidge.
    10(14) James Cooper.
Jon (who has had three successive top thousand finishes) and Matt (who has had five top 10k finishes in the last six seasons) were already in this season’s overall top 5k after Gameweek 7.

Tuchel on Lukaku's six game club goal drought:

"In my opinion, I feel Romelu overplayed. I think he played too many competitions over the summer and now he played Nations League. He is a fantastic athlete, a competitive guy and he wants to be out there and win, digging deep"

No offence to Mbuemo as he has the makings of a super little FPL asset
