Who are the best FPL captain options for Double Gameweek 25?

Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m) have emerged as the two outstanding candidates for the Double Gameweek 25 captaincy, with Manchester United preparing to take on Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

The question for many is how to choose between them and, of course, are there any single Gameweek options we must make sure we do not overlook.

First, we will assess the fallout of the Double Gameweek 25 captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

Bruno Fernandes is the leader of the captain poll in Double Gameweek 25, with 39.88% of total votes from our users at the time of writing.

Meanwhile, team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is in second place, backed by 20.7%. The forward got his rest against Burnley in Gameweek 24, though further minute management can’t be completely ruled out, which we’ll discuss below.

Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) occupies third place with 12.09%, followed by Kevin De Bruyne (£12.2m) and David de Gea (£5.3m), with 7.79% and 7.33% respectively.

    I got DDG, Dalot, Ronaldo and KdB.

    Is it worth taking -4 to make space for Bruno and captain him? Im thinking about doing KdB to Bruno and Dalot to Digne?

    Bruno will go to Salah next GW, so this is just a one week punt.

    Or I could take another hit for GW26 and downgrade Ronaldo which makes funds to keep both Salah and Bruno.

    Any advice?

        Yea he has played a lot of games to be fair. Mahrez came off after 60 the other night. I know pep doesn’t care about records but Mahrez(if playing) and scores will have 8 consecutive goals only equalled by Aguero. Means nothing I know. I’m grasping lol

    What is your strategy with keepers over the next few GWs? Sticking with one (DDG, Ramsdale, Pope) or making keeper transfers?

    I have DDG but will likely move to Pope for 26 and 27.

      I’m not totally sold on Man U players. Still rumours of unrest with Ronaldo so for that reason I’ve stuck with just DDG and Bruno and did KDB > Salah ready for DGW26

    I was planning to roll the FT but the Man City lineup predictions have me worried, with most thinking Cancelo and Laporte will be rotated.

        Yeah it's tough. Intention was always to roll but could easily be down to 9 if Pep does his worst and Livramento doesn't get any minutes. Dier could be back by next game though and so transferring him before a double doesn't feel optimal.

        I think you might be ok with Ait-Nouri btw as Marcal came off with a hip injury last game.
