After a mixed bag of Fantasy Premier League points returns in the 3pm kick-offs, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur meet in the eighth and final Double Gameweek 26 match of the day.

The action at the Etihad gets underway at 17:30 GMT.

Pep Guardiola makes two changes from the team that thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-0 in the Champions League in midweek.

Kyle Walker, who was suspended for the tie in Portugal, returns at right-back, with John Stones dropping to the bench.

Ilkay Gundogan is recalled at the expense of the in-form Riyad Mahrez, meanwhile, which will necessitate a bit of a reshuffle in midfield and one of Bernardo Silva or Kevin De Bruyne playing further forward.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte makes four changes from the side that lost to Wolves last weekend, with Sweden international Dejan Kulusevski handed his first start for the club.

Eric Dier and Emerson Royal are back in defence and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg returns in midfield, while Davinson Sanchez, Matt Doherty, Harry Winks and Lucas Moura drop to the bench.

Sergio Reguilon confirmed on social media ahead of kick-off that he has Covid-19, so he sits out this game.

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 26 LINE-UPS

The plan was King to Broja, but Coufal & Cornet are now injured and Watkins didn't start. Should I FH ?

    Cancelo, Liva, COUFAL
    Son (c), Raphinha, Bowen, CORNET
    Watkins, Dennis, King

I don’t know but apparently Cornet is fine for next game and everyone’s saying Dennis has a hammy so that’d put more ? Over him than Cornet? He wouldn’t have come off for nothing in a crucial game

Will we have around 28-29 info about the Big DGW around 33-36?

It can help us use a WC earlier, not in 35 and BB in 36

Possibly the PL will know what fixtures are going to be postponed in GW30 by then, but they may wait until after that GW so they know what GW33 fixtures are going to be postponed as well.

If you somehow still had Moura (asking for a friend) would you just cut your losses and get rid, maybe even for a hit at this stage? He’s got a game this week and I have 11 with him and not free hitting plus a double coming up but it just feels so bad having to hold him

This is what happens when a game is played early in the day. Opta has more time to analyse the match and so often bonus gets adjusted.

If Watford had played last in the day, the bonus point would have stayed the same

    WC plan:

    A) Wait for the Big DGW around 36 and make a classic combo with BB

    B) Use it in 28 and take advantage of the Wolves Burnley Villa games

    FH27 and 30*

    De Gea
    TAA Robbo Cancelo Tierney
    Salah Foden Bowen Saka
    Ronaldo King

    Steer Ramsey Livra Scarlett

Where has this rubbish about Dennis having a hamstring injury come from? Virtually everything I've seen and read (from Watford fans) suggest he'd simply cramp and was back on the pitch at the end.

    Hilarious season really.

The legions of people who just transferred in Kane cause they know him and he had two fixtures - no form, no indication he would return. Rewarded.

Transferred out Cancelo and Bowen and the likes knowing the massive risk that represented. Rewarded.

So many last minute, wreckless WC’s rewarded today. Fair dues to anyone who did.

I’ve had Kane since Liverpool at home in gameweek18, when everyone had just got rid of him because of terrible form. He’s been so unlucky in recent weeks, both Southampton games, Chelsea should have had a goal too. So there was in fact an indication that he was going to return at some point.

I agree there were some very rushed and unplanned WCs.

I disagree that bringing in someone like Kane was a bad move. The shots and underlying stats were there. The fixtures from Burnley onwards are good. Never expected brace vs. City but it happened.

Highly owned players blank often. It was just Cancelo & Bowen's turn. Players they've brought in will blank in future too.

        At least it's expensive

How much does it cost you in the starting 11?

Does WC in 27 give you the upside for that GW plus attack 28 and 30? I guess it'll allow you to BB28 and could get info on Chelsea Arsenal double

        Yep, exactly.

Couple reasons why I planned on doing it this way:

        - I hate the BB chip, so getting it out the way in 28 rather than waiting to 36 is nice. Also like that a lot of the teams doubling are the ones with decent budget options that I'm happy to bench for the future (ie Foster)
        - I can finally sell King, Dennis and Antonio whilst getting in Kane
        - I only have 1 FH left, and I'd like to save it for 31-36 period. WC puts me in a place where I can probably survive 30 without using a FH, gives me a BB for 28 and a strong enough XI for 29. It also improves my team for 27, though obviously it won't match the FHers as I have a Salah, Saka, TAA, Ramsdale bench (I'll be missing City and Pope, noticeably).

He's glad all over just to do that. All fart and no poo. Enjoys drama more than knuckling down and getting the job done

Any reason not to do gray and Dennis to cornet and weghorst tonight if I'm exactly on the money and gray and weghorst shifting tonight....

White, Reguilon, Gray, Watkins = main problems ahead of GW27 (given 3 Liverpool on the bench….!). Only one FH, which I’ll prob need for GW30….so:

White -> Coady (FT), then what?!

Who needs to go next? I’d ideally like to get Broja in for Maupay but seems like a luxury I don’t have?
