We continue our coverage of the pre-Gameweek 27 press conferences, with headline injury updates from all Premier League managers whose teams are in action this weekend.

Our Thursday round-up brought updates from Burnley, Brighton and Hove Albion, Leicester City, Norwich City and Southampton.

For much more detailed information, check out our Predicted Line-ups page and Injuries and Bans feed.

For other help and advice from our weekly Scout Picks to team reveals, head to our complete Gameweek 27 guide here.

MANCHESTER CITY

Almost a full squad for Pep Guardiola now that Jack Grealish (shin) and Gabriel Jesus (knock) have been pictured back in training. Cole Palmer (muscle) is still unavailable.

“They [Grealish and Jesus] are ready. So important for us, definitely.”

MANCHESTER UNITED

In the other half of Manchester, the Red Devils will be without Edinson Cavani (groin) and Scott McTominay (illness) for the meeting with Watford.

“[Cavani] hasn’t been training with us so he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and the same is true with Scotty [McTominay]. He is still ill, he hasn’t been training with us.” – Ralf Rangnick

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Having had time to think following his midweek post-match comments, Antonio Conte spoke to the media and confirmed that Rodrigo Bentancur (ankle) has joined Japhet Tanganga (knee) and Oliver Skipp (groin) on the injury list.

“Unfortunately, he’s not available for tomorrow’s game. He had a problem in his ankle. I don’t think this is a serious problem. I hope to see him in the team very soon but for sure he’s not available tomorrow.”

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Eddie Howe says a late call will be made on forward Allan Saint-Maximin, who missed the draw at West Ham United and has since been in Monaco for specialised treatment. There could be a return for Javier Manquillo (ankle) but fellow right-back Kieran Trippier (foot) remains out for a spell, just like Callum Wilson (calf) and Matt Ritchie (knee).

“We’re going to make a late call on him – he’s been away getting intensive treatment. We said when he suffered the injury, it wouldn’t be long-term so we’re keeping our fingers crossed on him.” – Eddie Howe on Allan Saint-Maximin

EVERTON

There is a chance that Demarai Gray (hip) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (groin) will be involved against Manchester City but Frank Lampard has confirmed that Ben Godfrey (hamstring) is still on the sidelines alongside Yerry Mina (thigh), Fabian Delph (thigh) and Tom Davies (thigh).

“Ben Godfrey won’t be back, he’s still a couple of weeks away. Doucoure and Gray are both training with us now and in the squad. It’s whether they start is an issue for me. Doucoure has been out for five weeks now. With Demarai, we have to make sure that coming into a game of this type of physical output that’s needed to get the performance and potential result, it’s a big ask.” – Frank Lampard

ASTON VILLA

It’s quiet on the injury front for Steven Gerrard, with just Bertrand Traore (hamstring) and Marvelous Nakamba (knee) hurt. He is able to welcome Ezri Konsa back from suspension.

“They’ve been upbeat, trained well and prepared well. We want to try and change our form tomorrow.”

WEST HAM UNITED

Right-back Vladimir Coufal will be out for a few weeks having underwent successful surgery on a hernia. Manuel Lanzini (achilles) may be in the matchday squad but Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko has been given some time off to be with his family during these difficult times.

Angelo Ogbonna (knee) and Arthur Masuaku (knee) are still unavailable.

“Vladimír’s [Coufal] surgery went exactly as planned and he will begin his rehabilitation at Rush Green immediately.” – David Moyes

LEEDS UNITED

Although Diego Llorente (hamstring) and Robin Koch (head) are now available for Marcelo Bielsa, it sounds like Patrick Bamford (foot), Kalvin Phillips (hamstring) and Liam Cooper (hamstring) remain injured for several weeks. Young defender Leo Fuhr Hjelde (knee) is also out.

“There’s not a fixed date [for Phillips, Cooper and Bamford]. The prediction that they were going to be available early March, how they are right now, doesn’t seem like it’s going to be the case.”

WATFORD

There are no fresh concerns for Watford, with Josh King training after his early midweek withdrawal. Joao Pedro (calf) and Juraj Kucka (abdominal) are back in contention after missing recent matches but Nicolas Nkoulou (hamstring) and Peter Etebo (thigh) are not.

CRYSTAL PALACE

It’s also quiet at Selhurst Park, where Vicente Guaita is seemingly available again after the knee issue which brought his half-time departure against Chelsea. Joel Ward (groin) joins Nathan Ferguson (hamstring) on the sidelines.

BRENTFORD

Thomas Frank has announced that Christian Eriksen will play some minutes against Newcastle tomorrow, playing his first match since collapsing on the pitch for Denmark last summer. Ivan Toney (calf) and Mathias Jensen (dead leg) are also available, while Mathias ‘Zanka’ Jorgensen (hamstring) stepped up his recovery by playing in a behind-closed-doors game on Monday.

“Christian Eriksen will be in the squad and he will get on the pitch tomorrow. It’s a big day for all of us but especially Christian and his family.”

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

Bruno Lage doesn’t have any news on how bad Nelson Semedo‘s hamstring problem is, which forced him off with clean sheet points after an hour against Arsenal.

“Jonny and Ki [are available]. Ki has played very well. We’ve got West Ham on Sunday at 2pm after playing Arsenal on Thursday night, so that’s only two-and-a-half days to recover and it was in our mind to understand which players recover better and to put some fresh legs in the game.

“When these kinds of things happen, I want a squad that offers competition between the places, so every time I can take the best decisions. We don’t have Semedo, but we will find good solutions for Sunday.” – Bruno Lage on Nelson Semedo’s injury

FPL Marc Broadcaster, writer and overthinker. Hoping that ‘differential potential’ will catch on.

Bumping up for the lunchtime rush! Limitations of the site mean that only one article can stay at the top at a time and the 1pm mad hour is when most quotes come through on a Friday. Wanted to make it accessible from this morning (ie in the Featured box) for anyone who needed to see Leeds/Villa/Newcastle early.

Should be, yeah! We usually do a second FFS Cup, so qualifying for that will likely be in the next couple of weeks.

    FH

    Dubravka
    Laporte Mee Roberts
    KDB Bruno Son JWP
    Kane Weg Broja

Thoughts? I don’t want to play Pep roulette with Sterling who got hauled in their spurs loss, Bernado that needs a break, Mahrez that can get benched despite red hot form. Don’t fancy triple saints so gone Dub (BRE) over Forster but can switch back if enough think it’s best.

Other options would be downgrading Bruno to Sancho and getting Cancelo over Laporte or upgrading JWP to a second City mid.

      These arent direct swaps.
      Youve got 3 MF
      Vs
      2 MF and a FWD
      Id prefer Broja, JWP, KDB

But who are you swapping at FWD for Broja.

It's really tight isn't it, option A looks to be the preference but option B can easily outscore option A and its a great differential. From my experience, this type of call, do it for yourself Don listen to what others tell you.

I can't say for certain if there will be rotation but he's started the last 3 and moura only 1. Bergwijn is another one who could come in and rotate but hasn't started for a while.

I like kulu as an option but then again spurs did lose last game so conte may change it

I wouldn't as it will probably cost you 0.5m at least to bring him back. It does depend what you are aiming at - winning your ML or overall rank etc. I am just going with a FT this week and will bring in a Burnley defender. I have Son as a premium so will just leave it as that.
Try adding up the points you think you might get, Bruno or Sterling will need to net 4pts plus for the hit to be worth it and Sterling isn't even guaranteed, Bruno wasn't exactly pulling up trees in Europe. Try a Burnley def / gk swap as they also help in the next two weeks

JWP is one of the most overlooked assets every season in FPL. He is doing well and worth it with the fixtures coming up too (also plays in GW30). Mee is ok for the price and swaps nicely but not sure its worth the hit.

Yeah. I think it's because he's seen as a steady-Eddie type player. If he was an AM, he'd be more popular.

I'm not sure about Tierney. His stats, when playing, are good. But, both Arsenal & his health always seem flaky to me. I'm leaning towards the hit. Might get him back later on

If not this GW, when are people with 2 FH Chips looking to use the Chip?

I've not seen it said, but what about FH in GW28?!

You could you FTs now with GW29 in mind.

Then FH again in GW30, if too many FA cup absentees.

      Any thoughts??

Always nervous about the armband on a GK. But equally tempted to follow suit.

Only consider highly likely 1st sub will play for one of your city assets. Make sure you’re happy with Ramsey.

No doubt I'm having a bit of a moment, but where does it show how many FH you have left?

Shows I've used a WC before Xmas, I'm right in assuming I would have 2? (I've had so much personal stuff happening this season, I've barely played, so apologies if I'm asking dumb stuff)

Why does Mahrez play so few minutes? Does he mostly feature in CL games?

Thinking of Dier to KWP/Bednarek, only thing stopping me is I dont like having too many players in first game (either Friday night or early game Saturday), can go badly.

    1. Edouard > Weghorst
    2. Salah > KDB (c)
    3. Both (-4)

Will obviously get Salah back but get rid of Bruno, though would captain Bruno this week if I don't get KDB.

Would you FH this team? Got 11 players with fixtures but not sure if saving FH is the best strategy with both FH chips available.

    DDG
    Livra, Cancelo, Digne, Lamptey
    Bowen, Coutinho, Luiz
    Dennis, Kane, Weghorst

    Foster, Salah*, Saka*, White*
