Gameweek 29 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues at Selhurst Park this evening, with Crystal Palace hosting table toppers Manchester City at 20:00 GMT.

Pep Guardiola sticks with the same XI that beat Manchester United so convincingly in Gameweek 28.

That means Joao Cancelo recovers from illness to feature at left-back, while Nathan Ake also returns to the matchday squad as a substitute.

Further forward, attacking trio Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden all start in Pep’s usual 4-3-3 formation.

Ruben Dias, meanwhile, misses the trip through injury as expected.

As for Palace, they are unchanged from the side that beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 last time out.

Nathaniel Clyne retains his place at right-back, while the returning Joel Ward is named as a substitute.

GAMEWEEK 29 LINE-UPS

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Kouyate, Schlupp, Gallagher, Olise, Zaha, Mateta

Subs: Butland, Matthews, Ward, Tomkins, Ayew, Eze, Benteke, Edouard, Riedewald

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Cancelo, Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Mahrez, Grealish, Foden

Subs: Steffen, Carson, Ake, Sterling, Gundogan, Jesus, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Mbete

Yeah idk, currently 105 ahead but he still has both free hits and bb and I only have bb

With a cancelo haul and Kane goal (tc) I could be 125 ahead by next week, hopefully that’s enough but not counting any chickens!

I wouldn't feel safe at all in that scenario. Just closed a gap of over 60 points in my own ML in 4 weeks, using same chips as my rival.

You named the the three most frustrating players ever. Maybe not Son only recently, because he finishes almost everything, but the Raphinha and Cancelo have always been like this, everywhere on the pitch, xgi through the roof, but staying clear of returns with occasional hauls.

I would like some Leicester fans to clear this out. If they play 4-3-3 does that mean that Maddison misses out, and will they continue to play it, or we could see them going to 2 up front?

Many factors: some injuries in the team, many games (Europe included), they are prone to injuries themselves, many other midfield options, for me FH33 and they will only play 30/32 as 31 v MUN (I know they can score v MUN but other options look better - CHE (BRE) MCI (BUR) on 31)

Can't understand why he has not been a regular starter. Better than most of what they have. Now Bamford back so unlikely.

        1. banskt
          • 12 Years
          3 years, 10 months ago

Do you want a regular starter for your third bench? The cheapest regular starter is Pukki or Dennis (depending on when you bought him).

          1. banskt
            • 12 Years
            3 years, 10 months ago

If you can't afford one of the regular starters, its coin toss between the rest. Cucho, Hwang, Jay Rodriguez, Gelhardt, Sargent, etc. Broja is by far the best of the lot as a player and gets the maximum game time. But Gelhardt saves the money.

Was looking at cucho earlier. Hard to see him not getting game time he’s definitely on some form vs Dennis/king. Would save me some money to upgrade I think cucho is a good shout. Especially if you’re not pushed on 3 upfront.

Quite easily - your chips, even reaping average scores, are worth half of that. So you have to make 7 pts a week on them from here to the end. Lots of fixture chaos plays into your favour.
