Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for 2022/23 are still available at last season’s cost of Â£24.99 â€“ but only until midnight tonight.

After the later-than-expected relaunch of Fantasy Premier League (FPL), we wanted to give everyone a bit of extra time to sort out their subscriptions for the new campaign.

But this really is last-chance saloon territory, as yearly Premium Memberships will rise on Friday.

So, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up before that point in order to secure the best-value rate and lock in your price for future seasons.

Speaking of which, if you’re already a rolling subscriber, you’re locked into whatever discounted price you paid last year providing you don’t cancel – so you’re even more quids-in!

The yearly fee of £24.99 works out at an equivalent of Â£2.08 a month as, instead of expiring on June 1 as was previously the case, these rolling annual subscriptions now cover a full 12-month period.

SIGN UP FOR THE NEW SEASON AND LOCK IN YOUR PRICE TODAY

We’re continuing to reinvest resources into the site, from building a team of talented contributors for 2022/23 (see below) to our new-look Premium Members Area.

HOW CAN SCOUT MEMBERSHIP HELP MY FPL TEAM?

You’ll be joining legions of other Fantasy managers by signing up, including former FPL winners Adam Levy, Simon March and Tom Fenley.

Thousands upon thousands of Fantasy bosses take advantage of our subscriptions and sign up every year, using the stats and tools to aid their Gameweek planning.

MEMBERS-ONLY ARTICLES AND ADVICE

You’ll get exclusive content, advice and team reveals from some of the best Fantasy managers in the business, including ex-champion Simon March, three-time top 200 finisher Lateriser, seven-time top 10k finisher Zophar, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman, Burning Questions co-hosts Pras and Sonaldo, and more.

If that wasn’t enough, Fantasy Football Scout’s founding father, Mark Sutherns will be producing regular videos throughout the season. Again, only Premium Members will get unrestricted access to Mark’s content.

We have regular Members-only articles, too, such as Captain Sensible, which provides in-depth analysis on the top contenders for the armband every Gameweek.

RATE MY TEAM AND PROJECTIONS

FPL Rate My Team surgery with five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman 11

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools will both be live for the new season soon, allowing you to see how many points our algorithm thinks you’ll score and which players you should bench.

SEASON TICKER

Our Season Ticker can help you sort by opponent difficulty to spot those upcoming fixture swings, while you can also find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Wolves, for example, are top of our Season Ticker over the first six Gameweeks of 2022/23 – but there are some tough games ahead for Crystal Palace.

Disagree with the Fantasy Football Scout difficulty ratings? Add you own to customise your experience.

PLAYER COMPARISON TOOL

Stuck between potential transfer targets for the upcoming Gameweek? You can now compare up to three players head-to-head at the same time, with over 100 key statistics and graphics to study side by side, while new visuals make for easier comparisons:

New-look beta Premium Members Area now available 1

PLAYER AND TEAM STATS

From goal threat to expected data, there are hundreds upon hundreds of player and team statistics available, which can help guide your Fantasy transfer decisions.

Our ‘per 90′ tickbox allows you to sort players’ stats per 90 minutes, too, to level the playing field for those assets with differing amounts of game-time.

MATCH ANALYSIS

Want to know where it went right and wrong in previous Gameweeks?

We’ve got analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and a collection of heatmaps for touches, shots and chances created, among other statistics.

CUSTOM STATS TABLES

Premium Members can also create custom tables based on the data available and share them with other subscribers to help with FPL team planning.

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

GAMEWEEK DASHBOARD

Pre-season price offer extended for FFScout Premium Membership 11

Enter your FPL ID for personalised visuals and check your live rank as the Gameweek progresses.

FLAT-TRACK BULLY TOOL

Our Flat-Track Bully tool helps subscribers to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.

This will help you pinpoint players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition for those close captaincy calls – and even those who thrive against the top teams, like Raul Jimenez famously did in 2018/19.

PRE-SEASON MINUTES SPREADSHEET

You’ll be able to track the minutes played of every FPL asset in pre-season – crucial for that Gameweek 1 planning and to help unearth the next John Lundstram!

TESTIMONIES

2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy was a paid-up Premium Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in an interview after his triumph.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a Premium Member here. A full FAQ on our Premium Members’ Area is also available here.

    I dunno, maybe I'm reading too much into things, but I sense a bit of a tactical realignment for both MCI and LIV this year, their purchases were for a reason...

    They've both reinvented football before, maybe they might again :o)

      City will definitely have to adjust, been a long while since they played with a recognised CF, playing likebthat means they'll probably give up a bit of the ball than they're used to. I still expect there will be games where Pep will prefer having a false/deeper 9 in order to have more control in midfield and create overloads so he'll bench Haaland here and there. Liverpool still haven't really replaced Wijnaldum and with Henderson getting on I think they might suffer a bit if Keita can't stay fit, think they need that extra defensive cover when TAA/Robbo go forward. They too haven't played with a forward with great height or the running power of someone like Nunez so it will take time to get used to that.

        Thank you for well reasoned reply, not always becoming around here (no disrespect to the Eye's, as I think humour can be lacking also!)...

        I just sense a shift (though minor) in both teams approach to games this year, maybe another stage of evolution, you've got to keep ahead of the pack!

        Norways 5th against NI would of been a real pearler, if not offside! Go the ladies! :o)

        I think they did OK with Aguero up there. Don’t see this as a big issue

          Aguero did a great job but it's easy to forget how things went at first. He was banging in goals but Pep wasn't happy with his team contribution, he wanted him to link up more and to press and he felt he wasn't getting it from him. At one point he was basically second choice after Jesus arrived and was willing to press and do the other defensive duties as well as scoring goals and Aguero was left on the bench a fair bit. I wouldn't say it's impossible something similar happens here, I think to less of an extent given they have a full preseason together but it wouldn't be a big surprise if Haaland returns well in terms of goals early on but Pep still says he wants more from him.

      Honestly don’t see city changing much at all. Haaland will have to change for them, like all other signings have had to. It’s one of the reasons it’s not unusual for a player to take a season to adapt.

    Given the craze for 5 atb, I've taken a little deep dive into the defensive numbers of certain teams - based on their first six fixtures of this season taking the results of the corresponding fixtures last season. The number is the number of goals conceded in last year's fixture.

    Liverpool:
    ful = X / CRY = 1 / mun = O / BOU = X / NEW = 1 / eve = 1
    25% clean sheets + 2 promoted teams

    Man City:
    whu = 1 / BOU = X / new = O / CRY = 2 / NOT = X / avl = 1
    25% clean sheets + 2 promoted teams

    Chelsea:
    eve = 1 / TOT = O / lee = O / LEI = 1 / sou = O / WHU = 0
    66% clean sheets (Most of these fixtures were at the end of the season, so of greater relevance)

    Spurs:
    SOU = 3* / che = 2* / WOL = 2* / not = X / whu = 1 / FUL = X
    0% clean sheets + 2 promoted teams (* under Conte)

    Arsenal:
    cry = 3 / LEI = O / bou = X / FUL = X / AVL = 1 / mun = 3
    25% clean sheets + 2 promoted teams

    1. Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

      A select few other teams:

      Wolves:
      lee = 1 / FUL = X / tot = O / NEW = 1 / bou = X / SOU = 1
      25% clean sheets + 2 promoted teams

      Villa:
      bou = X / EVE = O / cry = 1 / WHU = 4 / ars = 3 / MCI = 3
      20% clean sheets + 1 promoted team

      Brighton:
      mun = 2 / NEW = 1 / whu = 1 / LEE = O / ful = X / LEI = 1
      20% clean sheets + 1 promoted team

      Crystal Palace:
      ARS = O / liv = 3 / AVL = 2 / mci = O / BRE = O / new = 1
      50% clean sheets
      ----

      Based on this, my thoughts are that:
      5 atb isn't some magic wand that is going to see you start averaging 90pts per week - 50% CS over the first 6 from any defender is a respectable return so you will really need a premium 5 to deliver the attacking returns (and BAPs) on top if you forgo squad structure for PPM monsters in defence.
      Chelsea did very well in corresponding fixtures last year, conceding only 2 goals - suggests template Mendy as set as forget could be good and at least one defender, monitoring for formation changes and impact in pre-season.
      Spurs did very poorly in first three corresponding fixtures. Given uncertainty of XI, suggests using a placeholder like Cash for early fixtures and then a jump before Villa fixtures turn horrendous based on corresponding fixtures last year.
      Crystal Palace are a top defence, but fixtures are intimidating (CS at Etihad a surprise by any metric). One to monitor/early wildcard.
      Wolves conceded no more than 1 in each of their 4 games, but only one CS (again surprise CS v. Spurs away). Suggests rolling dice for Ait Nouri/Jonny over Coady.

        Stacked with many gifted ball carriers (one fewer with Gallagher gone) which plays havoc with the tactics of the top teams. Wish more teams would have a go like Palace do.

    Meslier
    TAA Cancelo Chilwell Trippier

      Weak bench is a risk and I’m not convinced Bowen is good value.

      One possible move: Bowen to Coutinho, 4.0 to Perisic (or Bowen to Martinelli, 4.0 to Tomiyasu, Trippier to Robertson)

        WH's matches from GW 2-4 are insane. Think Bowen is being overlooked a bit.

      In two minds with Foden. If he starts loads again feels like good value but sort of wonder if Grealish will start more in his place this season.

    Ederson

    Salah Diaz Coutinho Martinelli

    My bench is all complete fodder.... 4.0 andreas 4.0 sam greenwood. Wildcard planned around gameweek8.

    I'm weirdly so very content already and it doesn't sit well with me i normally tinker 10,000 times a day.

      Only Coutinho stands out to me. He was horrific for end of last season. It’s a trick price though, not many options there.

      Think I’d gamble on Barnes over him.

        Yeah it's probably my only really concern other than the james/chillwell decision.

        I'd thought Barnes but i had him the start of last season after his amazing pre-season for him to blank like 5 game weeks in a row... I'm tempted with Coutinho for the first 3 see how he goes, if not switch out quickly for someone but yeah it's definitely a concern for myself i would agree with you.

          Zaha is a decent differential. 140+ points every year and no transfer talk upheaval this year.

          But JWP is 0.5m less and has been very solid for the last 2 seasons. A lot of his points come from set pieces so Soton don't even need to play well for him to score points.

        Would you consider Cash for Trippier and either BrunoG or ASM for Coutinho?

          Not bad, definitely worth thinking about. They do have City early on though.

          You could look at Neto and upgrade a defender with the difference too. Or even Rashford, if he looks decent in preseason.

      Would rather gamble on Undav. Just keep an eye on his preseason, but think he can make his way into the team for start of the season.

      Palace striker spot seems a minefield with Vieira rotating pretty randomly. I had Edouard on a WC last season and regretted it massively.

      Don't trust the where it says 'Renewal'. It says that for everyone. Click the cancel button and see what message you get. If it says you don't have a renewal type membership to renew, then you know you don't have a renewal date (only an expiry date).

      So tempting with the big three but I feel you have too many players who may struggle to hit 100 points.

      If you want to go for all 3 that's a good effort Aapoman

      None of your strikers have played a single minute in the prem; that would concern me. But otherwise looks strong for a 3mium.

      Thanks for the comments all! Last season I started with threemium and it worked out great. One possibility I'm thinking is to have Kane instead of Son which would give me extra 0.5 in the midfield. Oh well still some time to tinker 😀

    That midfield 5.5-6.5 bracket feels like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Wondering if switching to Brennan and a Pereira would be better?

    Problem is, I'm not aold on that bracket neither. Undav could be something

      I'm punting on Undav as this season's Emmanuel Dennis. Good record in a lesser league, unknown to most of us here, and wouldn't take much of an effort to be better than they already have. I went Dennis from the off last year, albeit mostly first bench, and I think Undav has the same potential.

        Pre season should give some clues.

        If not it’s Undav + Saka -> Jesus + Neto
        Or
        Tierney + Coutinho + Undav -> Tomiyasu + Neto + Watkins

    What is the view on neco Williams at forest 4m?

    Is he the perfect 5th defender in a 4 man defence?

    Or a red herring and best to go for a heavy back 5? Thanks

      thinking I'll go there, as threeium (4-4-2) is my preferred structure and need some playing fodder.

    2. Toothis
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

      I have always favoured flexibility and 5 at the back doesn't appeal to me for that reason, at least until we have seen some of the teams in practice (particularly Chelsea and arsenal who are unknown quantities this season imo).

      Neco seems like perfect enabler in that respect and him plus Andreas at Fulham will probably be on most benches I think.

    3. Bojam
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

      If we line-up with wing-backs like last season and Neco has licence to bomb on like Djed Spence did, then I think he’s a steal at 4m. Surely will be first choice. We were pretty solid defensively so would expect some clean sheets even against tougher opposition. And as a wing-back we can expect a few attacking contributions over the season.

        My issue with 4 at the back is that I just don't see many mids or attackers that I fancy.....but seems such an obv pick

          its too early tbh, once we see pre-season games then we will find cheap player sin mid, someone like Benrahma last season. In 3 weeks 4/5 at the back wont be so popular, its like a safety blanket

    What about this?

    Henderson

    Trent Matip Cancelo James Gabriel

    Salah Foden Harrison

    Haaland Jesus

    4.0 4.5 4.5 4.5

      • 5 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

      Don't like matip personally. Think konate will be first choice this year.

      Also wouldn't want to start Harrison much but guess he would rotate with 4.5 defender

    Settling on going threeium all in. With the unlimited transfers during WC, plus a WC to use before then, I feel the risk is somewhat mitigated by an early WC if it goes pear shaped.

    Mendy* (4.0)
    TAA Cancelo Chilwell Tomiyasu (4.0)
    Salah Martinelli Andreas Son (4.5)
    Haaland Johnson (4.5)

    *I am between Mendy or Raya atm. That 0.5 extra could be handy.

    Thoughts?
