FPL 2012/13 Is Now Open

And we’re off….Having released the Player Price List earlier on this week, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game is now officially up and running for the 2012/13 campaign, allowing us to tinker with our teams ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday August 18:

In conjunction with Tuesday’s revelation, our coverage of the player valuations continues to pick up pace. Having rolled out our analysis of the Goalkeepers and Defenders, we followed that up with a look at the Midfielders earlier this afternoon – no prizes for guessing the Forwards are on tomorrow’s agenda.

For now, though, let’s not waste any further time – our patience has been tested enough. Head off to the official site and get your team registered for the new season, folks, and let the planning begin.

    Anyone keeping an eye on Modibo Maiga, new striker West Ham signed? They have a very kind opening schedule, and if he comes in at say 6.0 or less he is a definite option for a budget 3rd striker. Had a decent record in Ligue 1.

          yes for sure, there is a huge gulf between the 6.5-9 mid's and fwrd's

          I personally would rather go 2 heavy hitters up front...but that's only because as I scroll down the list of expensive mids all I see is alot of rotation risk and club uncertainty.

      Baldock wont start but apart from that looks decent. I see you have a strong defence so perhaps you plan to go 4-4-2 and leave Baldock out but even then Id replace him with a cheapie who will actually play e.g. Pog

        Initially i went for Rooney, but Aguero has Southampton & QPR at home. He like Rooney is on pens. The thing that swayed me is having Kagawa in midfield.

    Marko Marin really looked dangerous last night (although it was Seattle). Do Chelsea followers think he will start or was he brought in to provide depth ? I saw him on TV a few times in the Bundesliga and he always looked a real player.

      I think initially he will be there for depth, ie get small amounts of game time but in the future will be a starter IMO.
