Few neat touches and passes but probably the one who hasn't really got going this season.

How did Saka look. No points frm him today is painful when I got him over Martinelli.

Yeah Martinelli is the pick on what I’m seeing. So much of the attack is coming down the left side with Xhaka Zinchenko & Martinelli

Yes. Couldn't play like this with Tierney. Xhaka very impressive and this looks like it will be a big season for Martinelli. He could have had a monster score today.

Any shouts for 5.5 mid for the next few weeks? Options looking thin at first glance but Gordon or maybe Fornals standing out to me atm.

    1. BeWater
      • 4 Years

I've got 2FTs and Neto. Had a look through and there really isn't much. Aaronson is 5.5 but that feels a punt as well. I might downgrade Neto to a 4.5 and turn Neco Williams into a 4.5 - 5M defender I can play every week.

      1. Jimmy Boy
        • 8 Years

Agreed. I'm thinking of just getting Dasilva, not sure if any of the 5.5m options justify an extra million over him.

Dasilva might go up tonight so I might go Reed and Neco to Trippier. Or maybe Dunk and bank the money.

I get the feeling he’s going to be a bit like Demari Grey last season in that he’ll have the occasional flurry of points but you’ll be lucky to have him in your team at the right time. I’ve already pulled the trigger and swapped him for Dasilva who currently looks more likely to get minutes. He’s also cheap which frees up funds and Brentford’s fixtures look appealing.

Tony Gloves clearly held Utd together preseason. Maguire should be binned. It'll be wholesale changes next match, with every DM on the pitch. What a shambles.

  20. Athletic Nasherbo

Game week 3 will be super interesting.

Salah = obvious and most popular captaincy choice

Jesus = legitimate option. 19 points is incredible, incredible beyond belief.

Haaland = I am leaning towards being a subscriber of away theory; more space, thus a thriving Haaland.

Many of us are also relying on our benches (Neco, Patterson, Da Silva, Andreas etc etc) as Neto, Bailey, and Newcastle assets struggle or have a tough fixture.

I will be very intrigued to see how people spend their 2 FT’s! - what are your current plans?

    1. Athletic Nasherbo
      • 7 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

I forgot to mention - Spurs!

Their assets are genuine Captain options, especially as Wolves have failed to impress so far defensively.

Perisic potentially starts this game too and has the potential to rip up teams.

Upside chasing at its max with Son, I reckon.

Yeah a legit three way battle for the armband. I'm currently on Jesus but could be swayed to either Salah or Haaland. Can Man United possibly be that bad again?

      1. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 7 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

The thing with Jesus is that it is an away fixture. Bournemouth were resolute against Villa. Different team of course, but that probably sways me from him GW3 for the armband.

United are dreadful and I fully expect Liverpool and Salah to come out well.

Tempted to use 1 FT on Bailey to maybe Willock or a Brighton mid like March/Lallana. Keep my other FT and reassess what to do with Odegaard after GW3.

      1. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 7 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

I’m tempted too, but it is so uninspiring. If there are no issues and no opportunities then sure.

Dewsbury-Hall would be my pick. Saints and United next 3 - leaky.

      2. Athletic Nasherbo
        • 7 Years

I get the issue with Ode. Might be one of them you move for Martinelli asap. Looks fairly nailed. Smith-Rowe few weeks away from challenging, if in fact he does. I’d do the move. Yes it’s sideaways but equally easily a move that is rationale, thus it shouldn’t sting (if ode scores etc)

0.5 itb for N.Williams to Saliba. I see he is due to rise (96+ on fpl statistics). Would you take a hit to get him in?

I'd be playing him ahead of DaSilva in a 532 formation if that helps? If I don't take the hit, I play DaSilva in a 442.

I was not sold on Arsenal defense watching the game. Maybe wait out and see if fofana joins Chelsea. Would be 4.5 Chelsea cb

Pep was probably seeing what impact Grealish would have in the same position and opponent with little to lose at 3-0 up

No, best wait until all games played out- you can still afford this if you want even if DaSilva goes up in price tonight

Bailey might drop as well, so it'll be a double blow 😀

Not for me- I actually think Bailey could still be decent option and cheap enough to bench . Trouble with making early move is you don’t know what other fires you might have to put out if any injuries next couple of days

Fair point. I needed to play bailey due to weak bench. It's a three premium team. So did this change. Will need to take a hit if there's a fire. Cash yellow flagg is already one fire out there though but I'll hold on this as you suggested. Thanks.

Who would you get to replace Rashford with?

I have Martinelli already, can afford up to 6.9m

Sell Wilson and get Jesus or Darwin somehow

Got Jesus. Got 3 LIV players

If you also have Jesus in addition to the 2 mentioned, you might want to just drop one to fodder then and use money elsewhere. Better 8m options in the mid than 7.5m striker options

Lots of people getting dasilva. You really think he is worth it over prospects like Andreas? I doubt he can keep up his scoring and he might be benched too

Would take Andrea's over the season. Nailed #10.

Da Silva looks great but looks likely to be rotated.

    2 FT's
Trippier and Bailey -> Martinelli and N.williams

    Current team:
    Ward (Iversen)
    James, TAA, Robbo, Trippier, Cancelo
    Salah, Dasilva, Saka (Bailey, Andreas)
    Haaland, Jesus (Archer)

Best thing to do is accept it, move forward, and be proactive.

      Plenty of time left.

      Monitor ownership.

Be honest with who you fear owning.

      Minimise risks.

      Play safe with captaincy.
