Gameweek 8 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) concludes this afternoon, with Everton v West Ham United getting underway at 14:15 BST.

Frank Lampard makes two changes to the side that drew 0-0 with Liverpool in Gameweek 6.

Asmir Begovic comes in for the injured Jordan Pickford, while new signing Idrissa Gana Gueye replaces Tom Davies in midfield.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, however, fails to make the matchday squad.

As for the visitors, David Moyes makes one change, which sees Aaron Cresswell start at left-back.

That means £4.0m defender Emerson Palmieri drops to the bench.

GAMEWEEK 8 LINE-UPS

Everton XI: Begovic, Patterson, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Onana, Gueye, Iwobi, Gray, Gordon, Maupay

Subs: Jakupovic, Keane, McNeil, Doucoure, Coleman, Davies, Vinagre, Rondon, Garner

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Kehrer, Zouma, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Paqueta, Fornals, Antonio

Subs: Areola, Scamacca, Lanzini, Downes, Cornet, Dawson, Ogbonna, Benrahma, Emerson

Fluke is ok, and then he captained Son quite a few times this season, so must be a fan, which is legit.
Point is, this is not at least a team for one GW only, which is pretty common in the GW toppers most of the times. In fact, such teams look one out of infinite permutations which are not possible to imagine in the normal course, so casting doubt if they're even legit.

Just cheking in. Strong Arsenal performance today. In the Everton match I have decided to have Patterson on bench and Emerson in my lineup. Could get lucky but think Emerson will get some minutes

Pure luck to get those attacking returns. Ya'll bought him for his CS potential with no assurance he was going to be first choice, either.

I bought only because he was value at that price. Was hopeful he'll be nailed. Attacking returns have been a bonus yes.

              3 years, 3 months ago

Yeah that's 15-22 points from attack. Only Chillwell has as many defender direct-attacking points. I don't think Saliba is great value without them, and there was nothing to suggest he would get them. And as you say, being nailed was just a hope. So it seems the definition of luck to me 😀

It’s a game of luck. Saliba was nailed to start because of Arsenal’s injury problem at right back. Wasn’t much of a punt in the short term.

Lampard shouldn't even be put in the same league as Gerrard. He's had very little to work with, had to sell their best player, had no striker for months yet he's getting something out if Everton. Iwobi has been superb in his new role too which nobody else saw him doing

1.5M ITB right now and I’m getting rid of Dunk. Should I go for Reece James or Fofana? Reece James would mean I have 0 left ITB but great attacking potential. If I go for Fofana I still have 1.6M left and a Chelsea starting defender at 4.4 but not the same attacking potential. So James of Fofana? Give me a few opinions on this one guys!
