Liverpool v Man City team news: Alexander-Arnold and Darwin subs

The best two sides of recent Premier League seasons do battle at 16:30 BST on Sunday, as Liverpool meet Manchester City at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp makes five changes from the side that lost 3-2 at Arsenal in Gameweek 10, with James Milner, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson, Fabinho and Harvey Elliott all coming into the starting XI.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is among those who drop out, but he does make an earlier-than-expected return from injury, as he takes his place among the substitutes alongside Darwin Nunez.

Ibrahima Konate, meanwhile, is absent from the matchday squad.

As for Man City, Pep Guardiola makes just the one change from last weekend’s 4-0 win over Southampton, as Ilkay Gundogan comes in for Riyad Mahrez.

That means Erling Haaland leads the line as expected, but Jack Grealish has to settle for a place on the bench.

    My current team:

    Raya
    Trippier - Perisic - Neco
    Son - Zaha - KDH - Andreas - KDB*
    Archer - Haaland*
    B: Ward - Cancelo* - Saliba* - Jesus*

    Would you:
    a) Take hits to get 11 on the field
    b) WC
    c) FH

    I put together this team that could be the WC or FH.

    Allison (Ward)
    Robertson - Trippier - Saliba - Castagne (Neco)
    Salah - Mount - Zaha - Trossard (Andreas)
    Kane - Mitrovic (Solanke)

    With this setup I have 3.3 ITB to get Cancelo, Foden and Haaland back in the near future. Or should I invest in in Chilwell instead of Castagne or Toney instead of Solanke?

    What do you think about Joe Gomez (4.5m) as James replacement? Seems nailed, even more so after today. Pool fixtures good for defence until gw16. Only Spurs in gw15

      I looked at his underlying stats this morning - its a certain sell for me

      Weeks 1-4 he was top 15 of all players in the league for Xgi

      Since gameweek 4 he isnt even top 50 - the likes of casemiro and roca have better data and they havent even played as much as him in that time

    GW12: KDB/Maddison > Salah/Trossard

    ...which leaves 2.1m ITB for GW14. Zaha > Saka (NFO)

    A) Yes
    B) No - other option(?)

    However weighing up a hit to replace Neco?
    Unlikely he gets anything & a bit of cover for GW13/14 etc would help as Dunk has tricky fixtures too.

    Who's your pick of the ~4.5m?
    1) Guehi (WOL, EVE, SOU)
    2) Andersen (WOL, EVE, SOU)

    Cant seem to get on a run this season at all and i have been both patient at times and pro active at times iv only broke inside top 3m once two wks ago but dropped into 4m last wk back up to 3m this wk.

    Already 100 pts of leader in 3 MLs (same guy in the 3 of them btw)
