If you can't afford Bruno, would you punt on Weghorst?

      Nah

Martial still their #1 option if fit IMO. And even if he's not, don't really like the short-term nature of the Weghorst move i.e. you don't want him outside the DGW.

If you can't afford Bruno but want another ManU attacker (aside from Rash) I'd prefer Eriksen or even Antony.

Is still get Eriksen or Antony instead

Who are you selling if it’s Bruno (or a MID) vs Weghorst? That’s important too

I actually don’t know what answer you want from this.

The only correct one anyone here can provide is: “Somewhere between 0 and 100% chance”. Unless one of us is secretly in the Man City back room staff

Using cup games from LAST season are more relevant than league games from 3 seasons ago LOL. Especially when they were cup finals with both sides playing their strongest lineups.

KDB Rodrigo Almiron To Mahrez Bruno and Mudryk. Dangerous but fun.! can see the downside.

        • 11 Years

Yeah. As I said, the downside is obvious. My plan is ti, if the info we get is what we need, Bruno is good but I have to move out KDB in the process for Mahrez. Follow up next GW with Almiron to Mudryk (To see if he is as good as I expect and is fit enough to play 90.) Maybe KDB to Mahrez and Almiron to Bruno. Next week Rodrigo to Mudrik?

click on your "Gameweek History", (usually located under your total points and overall rank) and then you will see a lot of columns... the last to one column is headed "TC" which stands for "transfer cost"... you'll see it all there.

Here's a random team with a link for reference... https://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/565111/history

You can look in "Gameweek history" link on the points page of the website for your team. Still have to add them up but each gameweek is presented together in a table so you can do it in 10 seconds

"TC" is transfer cost (I.e. points value of hits taken)

      • 5 Years

Not entirely sure if LiveFPL does but it might. You can check your hits taken on one page if you just go to the "view gameweek history" page on the FPL website for any team, it will show you everything from each week and under the category "TC" (transfer cost) you can see in which weeks hits were taken and how much it came to on those weeks.

I would love to have all 5, but to get Bruno & Rodrigo isn't really practical for my squad - would have to do something like hit out an Arsenal mid (v Everton) & then bring them back the following week. Tough choice between head/heart ahead!

Just the Bruno - Rash(TC) - Shaw for me

Salah to Bruno for free. I'll need my FTs for other fires, so I'm swerving Leeds until maybe Gnonto vs Soton on FH25

Not touching Leeds. No room for their players even if I wanted them. Trying to navigate these next 2 doubles without excessive (any) hits.

      Shaw, Rash, DDG in 22
Odegaard, Martinelli, Nketiah, KDB, Haaland in 23

Depends if I feel I can live without Bruno. Teams full of probable blank GW25 players as well, but I'm just ignoring that week and playing the week in front of me.

The ability to adjust and to understand the changes (even just watching the games), can be difficult in FPL.
I have picked Zaha both before the world cup (ok ish) and after. But i saw already in the start of the season that Palace is changed, it's not about Zaha or nothing anymore, yes he is still important, but they have Olive and Eze there too. Times have changed.

Why go for Palace player in the first place? You have many midsize mids doing well all over. I went with Zaha before the WC and never again.

You kind of answered your question by your own choice. The point is not the actual pick but how i was not adjusting what i saw and my perception from last years Palace.
To put it a bit weird, i picked Zaha from the palace team from last year, not this year. Just like people still picks Salah, they think they're getting the last years Salah (and so was I) but this is a new season and not th landscape is changed.

I’m adjusting this week and kicking out Invisible Salah, just doesn’t have the talent around him anymore to get the job done.

The time to have owned him (which I luckily did) was last season and first 5 games this season with 4 goals in 5 games. Right now we are a team in transition with lots of youngsters coming through, Zaha was very much off form and now injured anyway (and most probably leaving end of this season) we just need to get used to him not being here. Olise and Eze doing well and we have some table topping academy players on the horizon fr next season. Going to be a interesting next season.

After DGW22 & 23, are there a couple of big DGWs still left in the season? Or big BGWs (for FH chip)

Need to know when to play TC, BB & FH - any clues welcome....

My chip strategy is usually rogue, but here's what I'm looking at atm:

          WC18, TC22, FH25/28 (depends on how fixtures are rearranged in GW25), BB29

32+ will be handled with FTs. Easier to plan those ahead, and a heavy bench will (hopefully) help with European rotation

Unlikely. With Wout, there is less chance Rashford starts up top now. Sancho back in training as well so United got a lot of options. I can't see him being given responsibility of regular starts

He'll get his chances. But just not with the regularity you want for an FPL asset from a top 4 club. I think United are very wary of heaping too much pressure on him after what happened with players like Januzaj plus they've got lots of options in those wide forward roles

    Any thoughts on scores today?

    Leeds 2-3 Brentford
Leeds look leaky; Toney on form, Rodrigo and Leeds strikers good for goals

    City 3-1 Wolves
Think Wolves going in the right direction but think we’ll see KDB and Haaland tick again today

    Arsenal 1-2 Utd
Think this’ll be one of the games of the season, two teams in great form. Have a feeling Utd will find a way to win it

The only nailed Man U defender atm is Shaw

There's too much flux elsewhere: Varane should get randomly rested in this fixture congestion; Martinez is at risk whenever EtH chooses to deploy Shaw at RCB (he's said he'll do this as a tactical move sometimes); Malacia is at risk when Shaw's at RB; Dalot's return is unclear and yup, that affects AWB

    Morning, all.

Been a few years since I played this game with real application, so I’m a little rusty at considering/understanding the underlying numbers and stats.

I did a (fairly basic) comparison of Mitoma and March using the info in the members section, and brought in March this week.

I’m not (that) bitter (yet) with the choice and there’s still plenty of time for March to return points; just interested to know if others looked at the same data and saw something more/else in Mitoma?

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Good old "eye test" led me to Mitoma. I've watched all of Brighton's recent games in full. Not that it was a chore, he's great fun to watch - just an incredible, electrifying dribbler, and I started to realise that his instincts / decision-making in & around the area are really sharp too.

I can see why you'd go for March on stats & I still don't think he's a bad option at all; had a couple good chances yesterday.

        Thanks, Ment.

Yer, you’re right, watching the players/games is v useful. See if the stats/chatter translates to anything on the pitch. I’ve not been able to watch many this season at all.

Also, I think I went March cos the returns seemed more hauly/explosive and I’m in chasing mode. Mitoma’s returns seem more consistent and regular.

      • 9 Years

I did prior to the Liverpool game last week and went Mitoma. Think they’ll match each for points though. March could and should have scored yesterday.

I don't have access to the area. Don't think it's a clear call for anyone though and just have to back one and hope for the best, March was getting chances yesterday so I wouldn't be too worried.

Possibly a lot of people were swayed by Mitoma gaining more influence due to Trossard leaving.

I like the look of Mitoma too but March has been a decent reliable cheapie for years so this step up to being a front line choice is not a big surprise and I’d expect him to keep ticking along nicely (thinking Soucek in 2020/21 - I think that’s the year).
