The final match of Blank Gameweek 28 features league-leaders Arsenal, who welcome managerless Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s troops head into the international break with a chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points, while the Eagles sacked Patrick Vieira on Friday and are without a win in 2023 thus far.

Kick-off is at 14:00 GMT.

The hosts make just one change from the side that beat Fulham 3-0 in Gameweek 27, as Rob Holding replaces William Saliba, who had some “discomfort” and came off in the midweek game with Sporting CP.

That means Gabriel Magalhaes, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli all start, despite lasting 120 minutes in that match.

As for Crystal Palace, Paddy McCarthy makes two alterations, as Joel Ward and Luka Milivojevic come in for Nathan Clyne and Albert Sambi-Lokonga. The latter is on loan from Arsenal and unable to play against his parent club.

Joe Whitworth, meanwhile, is again in goal.

* Joachim Andersen has picked up an injury during the warm-up, so James Tomkins comes in to replace him. Jairo Riedewald moves onto the bench.

Yeah, I can't beat myself up over not captaining Saka when I went Kane C Toney VC.

Unless you had Saka VC it wasn't actually a close call for you.

Of course the guy that wins my ML year in year out and who has been nowhere all season captains Saka and suddenly he’s 10 points behind me having been nearly 100 back a few gw ago.

Sorry this is a niche rant.

Might seem silly, but I'm pretty tempted to keep all of Saka, Martinelli, Kane, Zinchenko next week and roll a transfer.

I remember a DGW some years ago when most people went all in on DGW players and Spurs players (Dele Alli, Eriksen, etc.) with a SGW all hauled. Sometimes form and fixture for a SGW player is better, not always though!

Gabriel off confirms my red arrow for the week. Bit disappointing since I had a decent 11 out with no hits. Last minute captaincy change ultimately the difference between a small red and a big green arrow. Onwards and upwards

    Is Ward now not nailed?

Forgot to do my team this Blank week, so I have 2FTs,

If wars not nailed, I’m thinking the below moves for free:

    A)
    White > Chillwel
    Ward > 4.2 keeper?

    B)
    Ward > de-gea
    White > 5.3 defender?

    Current team is:

    Ward, Raya

    Tripps, shaw, estu, mee, white
    Salah, saka, rashford, mitoma, Mac
    Haaland, Toney, johnson

    Any other ideas welcome!

2FT and 1.9 in the bank

    Raya (Allison)
    Gabriel-Trippier-Estupinan (Akanji-Kilman)
    Saka-Mitoma-Rashford-Gakpo (Odegaard)
    Kane-Toney-Haaland

1 FT, what's my plan for GW28? Leaning towards swapping Odegaard for a Brighton midfielder, but keeper change is also a good option. The Toney ban could be imminent also.

    3 unnecessary mistakes/changes I made on my FH;

    Mings to Moreno
    JWP to Mudryk
Trossard/Martinelli to Ødegaard(chopped and change in between them, ended up on Ødegaard)

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Moreno was fine, slightly more risky than Mings but makes sense for attacking threat
      Øde understandable. Mudryk... less so

Not sure what to do with Kane. Everton won’t concede much at home under Dyche and he hasn’t exactly been hauling anyway. Yes, very consistent but I don’t know, after Conte’s outburst how they are going to play.
