My only bad decision was letting conversations on here sway me to starting Estu over Henry, otherwise super happy with my -8 GW

Cheers TM, huge GW rank of 38K even with a -8 has made me believe a top 100K finish is possible! Awful season this year

What do you mean, the -4 comes off your total?? And the transfer is included in the total transfer tie breaker if points are the same. Hits affect GW rank for sure.

No they are not. That’s why some people take massive hits each week chasing the elusive gameweek win (not me - but some do). They only come off your season total. Look for example at the guy with GW rank 1 this week - he has 64 points of hits.

Moved from just over 1 million OR to just over 800k. My goal for the end of the season before this week was top 500k but this has given me confidence to aim a little higher. What would be an ambitious but realistic rank? I have FH still

LMS safety score currently unknown as last GWs eliminated haven't been removed due to the FPL site.

Hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow or I'll sort manually by this time tomorrow.

Right??? I’m bummed too, because I want him in my team, but: 1) Want to make sure he survives the CL game and 2) who to sell? Rashford out if the injury is long term, but we dont know yet.

I'm happy I sold Haaland at a high price and bought back at his low price, got Watkins points in between and captained Haaland for his latest haul. With no FH I can't get Grealish anyway without having several players blank in GW32.

Mings has been my biggest differential since the 24 wildcard. Six straight green arrows and he has been the difference maker every time. Never would have guessed it. I bought him as bench fodder with some double game weeks in the future.

Rashford to Grealish GW31 (if the former is injured for some time). Otherwise I’m looking at Madison to Grealish.

Then FH32 followed by Schar to a Man City defender to prep for GW34.

    Sound right?

Best move here if Rashford is out for a few weeks?

    A) Rashford -> Grealish
    B) Rashford -> Andreas (makes getting Salah easier later)
    C) Bench Rashford and use another FT elsewhere

    Raya
    Trippier, James, Shaw
    Bruno, Saka, Mitoma, Rashford*
    Haaland, Kane, Watkins

    Kepa, March, Mee, Estupinan

Cannot wait to be rid of Maddison.

Rashford (if out for long time, likely) & Maddison > 17.9m to spend:

    A. Saka & Grealish (will be benching headache every week)
    B. Salah & 5.1 (probably Andreas or other?
    C. Some other combo - who?

67 points with two Arsenal players to go, nice jump from 60k to 40k.

I was aiming for top 20k finish, but with FH, WC and BB to go I'm feeling confident of getting higher. Hopefully WC33 and BB34 reaps dividends.

Only worry is whether to bring in Grealish now, and force a FH or -4 in GW32 or just go with what I have.

Everyone is going for Grealish. He could be game time risk after CL game though. KdB is not bad option either for those who have money. I have started to have 2nd thoughts about FH 32, FH 34 could be tempting also. However, lack of decent mids has become an issue.

Grealish has played 11 games in a row and doesn’t have an obvious replacement, I’d thought he’s a pretty good bet. I got him in for Bowen not Maddison which is annoying and because I’m not FH 32 I think I need to keep him and hope for the best

Foden can play either side but Grealish’s spot on the left is his to lose especially if he keeps up this form

Yeah I think Mahrez is the one in trouble when Foden is fit. Grealish seems about as nailed as City mids get now.

I had to look him up. I’m surprised clubs across Europe aren’t now queuing to snap him up

“Ex-Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford revealed that the lack of playing time, and the reason for not extending the loan deal in light of the delayed season end, was down to Augustin not following instructions from management, and not putting in the required work.”

        it's an odd one isn't.

So Leeds have an obligation on an end of season loan that cuts off in June, but he's released the season extends and they don't have his contract but were held to the payment without having the player.

        Effectively was he transferred twice?

Sometimes that court of arbitrartion is blinded by the £££, imposing over inflated settlements on lower division clubs too.

    Gw 31 Rashford to Grealish
    Gw 32 Chillwell to Trent
    Gw 33 Maddison to March
Gw 34 Kane Saka Martinell to Darwin/ Jesus and Salah Rashford/Bruno

    You agree???

I’d rather sell Madd and keep Rash

Like what’s the point of keeping Madd, selling Rash and eventually buying Rash again?

Same thoughts here, especially for a hit

I'm going Maddison to Grealish (and FH32). Rash can be third sub until he returns, unless we get a confirmation that he misses GW34. Solves the bench headache between March and Watkins

Presumably to field something closer to 11 without FH32? Seems ok to me in this scenario, if not quite optimal for those with FH remaining

Have WC and FH left. Was thinking FH32 and WC33 but are there any other viable strategies?

Still sounds good to me as it is

You could go WC31 and still FH32, though. Should be mostly the same GW34 team anyway

How does Haaland rise twice in 2 days and Grealish twice in 3 days but Bruno stays same price after 1.3 million bring him in over 4 days for GW29?

If FPL aren’t releasing the process of how they control price rises/drops, there’s a reason for it.

I’ve been playing FPL for a few years and I feel this year the FPL predicted price rise/drop websites have been really off. What’s the deal?

They're manipulating price if they think a player is under or overpriced.

Depends on your team. If you have a weak 32 then use it. More to gain there and should still have a decent 34 team.

The only Man U player I want in GW34 (as things stand) is Rashford, just like in GW29

Still on this minimal hit crusade. I'm getting used to it... Now at 800k OR, with just Saka left. FH32 is the last chip. Going Maddison to Grealish for free, to have:

    Raya
    Trippier Estupinan White
    Grealish Mitoma March Saka
    (C)Haaland Watkins Kane
    .
    Kepa Schar Chilwell Rashford

Then FH32, which will be fixture-focused

GW33: Saka to Salah for free
GW34: White to Dias. I'll get Ake if Dias is out of reach
    GW36: Watkins + Raya to Wilson/Isak (C) + DDG
GW38: NEW + Dias to Jesus + White

That's the provisional plan. Ready to adjust if needed. Still trying to avoid hits except where obvious, like getting Mitoma a while back, then Mahrez + Royal to Maddison + Chilwell for GW28. Things change so swiftly in this game...

I'm delaying buying Salah because I might go for KDB instead (and maybe Shaw over Dias), or I might go with Rash to KDB if the groin injury is that serious. Definitely going Maddison to Grealish though

Wow you mut have serious cash ITB to go straight to Salah from Saka with your listed squad above.

        Oh yeah 😀

5.7m after Madders to Grealish. 0.1m short of Rashford to Salah though

But I do regret having that much cash. I haven't needed it like in previous seasons, so it's been early-season hits without the usual gains of the past. I'll dump it next season. Getting used to this patient approach post-WC18

I’ve regretted not taking more hits recently. That double game week was ideal for setting up the team with hits covered that week. I’m wrestling with the KDB/Salah thing too; minutes vs erratic form

I had Haaland and Saka with no Watkins, yet still hit 136 on BB29

My hits would have backfired. Heck, my one transfer was Odegaard (5) to March (8)

If I'd sold Haaland, I'd have had to keep Maddison for GW31 or taken a hit for Grealish, making it -8 total to lose Haaland for one GW

Quite nuanced and team-specific, of course, but I've stopped seeing hits in terms of that week alone

That’s a great score with a zero on the bench. My hits haven’t worked out to date and it’s easy to say what I could’ve done.

Sounds like you’ve got a good plan to the end of the season and your team seems well set (who can say as we enter the chaotic end)

          Good luck

Always the yellow (Igbo) garri for me, to start. I might take white (Yoruba) garri if it's the only thing available, but I prefer the taste and texture of yellow, or maybe I'm just used to it

Measure 3/4 of a cup into a bowl

Add sugar and full cream milk to your taste

Mix with cold water. Some of us (including myself) actually add ice shards

Make sure you finish it before it solidifies, so this is always a quickly consumed cereal 😀

Roasted peanuts and some random things like coconut pieces can be added to your liking, or you can take the garri along with something like beans porridge

My partner and I have a competition each year where she can only select England players and me ‘rest of the world’ players. She’s now gone 15 GWs since Gw15 with only 2small red arrows rising from 4.8m to 626k (all with no Haaland of course). She’s on 43k ‘Second Chance’.

I’m floundering on c.1m with lots of red arrows and hoping Mbeumo comes good!

Sorry, no reason for sharing this

Whilst I would not wish for a player to be injured, if Rashford is out for a spell on the sidelines its good for FPL as his ownership has made him an irrelevance. The skill will now be identifying a replacement and not everyone will pick the same player.

    1. Ze_Austin
      • 7 Years

The thing with the template is that there's usually a template replacement, and usually around the same price or (much) cheaper

For Rashford, it's Grealish and Arsenal mids at the moment

"Casuals" aren't so casual anymore, due to the availability of free info. Watch Grealish's ownership fly like Mitoma's

I agree to an extent but it will take a few weeks for those players ownership to reach the levels of Rashford so you at least have a fee weeks of benefitting from their points. There are also a few different options - Grealish, Arsenal mids Brighton mids, Bruno, maybe a punt on Son and not everyone will pick the same one.
