The Premier League title race could be mathematically decided in the evening kick-off, as could Nottingham Forest’s top-flight survival.

Arsenal are the visitors to the City Ground, where a win for the hosts would mean that Manchester City retain their league title without kicking a ball.

Forest would also jump up to 37 points with a victory, leaving them out of reach of Everton, Leicester City and already relegated Southampton.

Steve Cooper goes with an unchanged starting XI this evening, meaning further substitute duty for Brennan Johnson.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta makes two changes to the Arsenal side beaten 3-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

The injured Gabriel Martinelli is replaced by Leandro Trossard, while Thomas Partey starts ahead of the benched Kieran Tierney.

GAMEWEEK 37 LINE-UPS

Nottingham Forest XI: Navas; Worrall, Felipe, Niakhate; Aurier, Mangala, Yates, Lodi, Gibbs-White, Danilo, Awoniyi.

Subs: Hennessey, Toffolo, Surridge, Johnson, Kouyate, Freuler, Dennis, Boly, Ayew.

Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Xhaka, Jorginho, Partey, Odegaard, Saka, Trossard, Jesus.

Subs: Turner, Tierney, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Holding, Vieira, Bandeira, Cozier-Duberry, Walters.

If the choice is between Everton or Leeds, then I'd much prefer the scousers to be relegated.

Well done Forest, but I am sorry to say that, sadly, your East Midlands pals from just down the A46 will not be with you next season. Hope to see you in 2024/5.

6 points up for grabs, mate. I wish we didn't three off you on Monday, but still plenty for us all to play for.

I don’t support any club. Why so many anti-Arsenal on here?

    You sound unhinged.

Agree. It’s weird. All the entertainment and FPL points they’ve given us. Why aren’t they battering spurs chelsea and Liverpool for absolutley bottling their seasons

They barely went odds on with the bookies given City had games in hand, a better run in and Arsenal still to play at home.

Because that would be whataboutism. Neither Spurs, Chelsea nor Liverpool led the league for months and gave it away. So, technically speaking, the "bottling" conversation doesn't apply to them.

I would have loved them to get one over City, but it is an opportunity missed.

I'm a Newcastle fan and couldn't care less if Man City or Arsenal win the league. They're both above Newcastle in the league and not our direct rivals, so reasonably irrelevant to me.

Don't really care about them, unless they are playing Newcastle. I think Arsenal have had a fantastic season and got to the penultimate weekend of the season with still being in the title race. I'm not going to slag them off or call them "bottle jobs" when the league tells me they are clearly above everyone, bar Man City.

This. Seems Newcastle have clinched CL. But I'd be clarting myself if City or Arsenal were our last two fixtures. And that's the way it is. Only one winner.

It's not anti-Arsenal. It's actually more like anti-City. So, so many people were hoping for a break in the hegemony this year...

+1 for the use of hegemony.

That’s even worse, psychologically speaking haha that’s pure misplaced projection.

It is what it is. This isn't a shrink's office and people are allowed their idiosyncrasies. I couldn't begin to care less myself, even being from the red part of Manchester, but I also don't make it a practice of handing out diagnoses on a web forum.

Think it's at the clubs discretion these days - get a finite number and hand em round

Ortega has been really good when played. I think Ed starts against Brentford at least and maybe Brighton. Ortega at least one more start (writing post Chelsea) and possibly Carson token minutes against Brentford.
