First 3 are good, and he's just scored against Newcastle (GW1)!

Yeah. First three could be good. He has a nice record against Toon too, I think.

This new Newcastle midfielder is not very good. Very slow.

Newcastle all over the place here. Seem to be playing 4-2-3-1 instead of usual 4-3-3. Not clicking at the minute and too easy to play through.

Actually it might be 3 at the back with Targett and Murphy wingbacks. Whatever it is, it's poor.

Hope Howe goes back to normal 4-3-3 as this isn't working.

    Eze or Mitoma or Mbeumo?

Eze for me as I think he's more exciting, but it's a toss-up really

I fancy Eze the most but do have Mitoma as well, at the moment. Brighton too attacking to ignore.

I prefer Mbuemo, personally. 18 goal involvements last season and now down as a midfielder who will be even more involved in the goals in Toney's absence. He and Wissa were flying in the last few games, subsequent to Toney's suspension.

    How's she looking?

    Onana
    TAA, Gabriel, Botman, Pinnock (Beyer)
    Salah, Rashford, Martinelli, Eze (Nakamba)
    Haaland, Wissa (4.5)

I really like it, but seems a little light on Arsenal attack.

playing Botman every week? not good.

I'd drop Onana to 4.5, or maybe even better, Rashford to Saka

      To upgrade Botman

A TAA & Salah squad isn't my preference but a pretty good way to go about it.

If it was me I'd maybe go Eze to Mbuemo, downgrade Rashford to BF so you could then upgrade Pinnock to Torres for an additional first teamer.

I wouldn't have thought so with Tonali, Bruno, Longstaff, Willock and Joelinton already competing for three spots in the middle plus Gordon, Almiron, Murphy and Barnes (and Isak + Joelinton as options at LW) tussling out wide. Highly thought of and will get sub apps here and there but wouldn't be reliable, unless he goes ape in pre-season.

Strange half for Newcastle. Playing 3 at the back (Trippier, Schar and Targett) with Murphy and Targett as wingbacks. Bruno and Tonali sat in front of the back three. Miggy and Anderson ahead of them, then Isak up front.

They struggled for their usual patterns of play in attack and mainly on the ball over the top.

Back in it at 2-2, and who knows what the second half will bring.

Cash will be a terrific option WHEN HE STARTS. I get the impression Emery is emulating Arteta in planning to alternate his attacking wingbacks. Some times Digne/Moreno are the attackers and a centre back plays in Cash's position. Sometimes a centreback plays instead of Digne. It'll be a lottery.
Torres and Mings are both left-footed centrebacks - it remains to be seen if they can play together comfortably.
