This evening we roll out the final part of our series of Projections articles for the season ahead. Having already assessed the Keepers, Defenders and the Midfielders, it’s finally time to start searching for value up front.

With the aid of our freshly Projections, we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I'm not suggesting people do one thing or another, but thought this was interesting.

Kagawa got 17 Goals and 10 Assists in 38 appearances last year for Dortmund. If you take it that each appearance was worth 2pts (so ignoring CS points, if he was subbed off, or bonus points) that's worth 191pts, just behind last years Dempsey at 209 and Bale at 195, and ahead of Silva at 184.

Completely different styles of football. He'll be good, but not that good. Can see him getting 5 or 6 goals at best

FWIW the goals per game ratio is very similar with PL at 2.81 per match last year and Bundesliga at 2.86.

What Kagawa's minutes will be this season though is guesswork.

Gervinho had 28 goals in 67 appearances for Lille. Id say Kag is the real deal, but id hold off. Took some quality players (Mata, Silva) time to adjust to the league.

Lost on bottom of prev. page 🙂

      Ive cracked it , I hope !!!!

      Foster / Begovic
      Rafael / Zabaleta / Dawson / McCartey / Tierney
      Nasri / Bale / Valencia / Maloney / Kacaniklic
Aguero / Torres / Petric or Graham

2mil for Torres to Rooney transfer. Apart from the fact there is speculation regarding my 3 main defenders 😉 But it is a wait n see , will switch things around if need be. If Dawson gets captain he will be first choice so will know that before season start. Will hopefully know about City def and whether to go Zaba/Clichy/Kolarov by community shield and Rafael I’m genuinely not sure about it will need to look into it as things develop.

Cheers for suggestions, I'm not positive on him yet but hes been featuring a lot / perhaps in every game in pre season and has impressed I think, got a goal and an assist in the last game for example. Been a few posts about him here and he is potentially gonna start but nothing is clear yet, it might depend on whether Dempsey goes or not. But he is to be my 4.5 bench fodder and will rarely play if at all so not vital to the team but when the 4.5 might indeed need calling on I think hes the best around if he starts.

    REPOST:

Is there not a chance of Winston Reid moving to RB to accommodate for James Collins' arrival? I think he played there during the back end of the 10/11 season. For this reason I'm edging towards McCartney over Demel to be honest.

      Well the options are :

      Essien/Meireles/Lampard/Mikel/Ramires (2 spots)

      Ramires/Marin/Mata/Hazard/Oscar/Sturridge (3 spots)

      My guess:

      Meireles Lampard
      Ramires Hazard Marin
      Torres

Mata should be eased back in, Oscar won't have trained with side and RDM doesn't rate Sturridge. It's only Wigan so I think he'll not go for Essien or Mikel.

Imo he's most likely to play both.

He can play in both the holding 2 and the attacking 3, is younger than Lampard/Essien and is an energetic player. Also think that RDM rates him highly.

      Mancini might try a 3-5-2

      .............Hart

      Richards Kompany Lescott

      ---------------Barry
      Zabs Yaya Silva Kolarov

      ......Tevez Aguero

Wait for the community shield, even though I don't think that will solve anything. I suspect Dzeko will play in the CS but not start against Southampton

Depends on when Evans returns and whether Jones is needed elsewhere.

I'm hoping that by GW3, they'll be someone clearly nailed on for 6.5 or less in the United defence that I can bring in for Ivanovic. If there's not then, I'll have to gamble!

sagna's already injured, gibbs isn't great and i was really unimpressed with vermaelen last season too. kos is class, but a bit mistake-prone whenever he's in a weakened back 4 (prob 'cause he's trying to cover for his teammates positional errors). plus, this is arsenal, so 'if they all stay fit' is like saying 'if they learn how to walk on water'.

Liverpool fans here. To be honest, with the new additions like Podolski and Giroud to the team, Arsenal might have just done enough to convince RVP to stay. If he stays, haha, then most of us will have to re-plan our fantasy team again, just to fit him in.

You should a one really cheap defender for 4 million and safe .5. other than that i think your team is good. consider shaun wright Phillips ahead of taarabt, wright Phillips has been on better form pre season.

barnett and mariappa are both not nailed on as far as i'm aware, i wouldn't take a risk like that on more than one defender myself - especially when you'll need to rotate coloccini early on (newcastle have crappy fixtures). rest looks ok.... zog's a bit risky 'cause of lambert's rotation policy and questions about his work ethic. britton is a bit meh, guthrie might be better esp. for the DGW.

Mata, Bale, Britton, Yaya Toure, Wright-Phillips

Sure about Tevez? If you choose to downgrade, then you can afford another heavy hitter in midfield, which you might not be able to acquire without taking a hit later on, if Bale/Dempsey/Silva explode!

there are no sure attacking starters for city aside from aguero (who i've got), and none for chelsea aside from torres (who i wouldn't touch with a barge pole), but both still need coverage IMO. nasri seems 99% nailed on for me anyways and lampard will get some gametime for both games probably, and if anyone's likely to nick a goal even off the bench it's him. michu is nailed on and i have a good feeling about swansea this season. hughes and demel should be nailed on i think?

nasri is a punt, but i thought he looked good at the end of last season, and he'll surely be getting plenty of gametime if what platt said is true! his stats for when he DOES play are pretty darn good, as good as they were at arsenal i believe.

Am doing the Torres >Rooney in GW2 myself. All good picks I think, you're just lacking maybe a second big hitter in midfield.. I'd try fit a spurs mid in and downgrade some of your other mid priced midfielders.. also, I'd get shot of Lambert and get Petric or Graham
