This evening we roll out the final part of our series of Projections articles for the season ahead. Having already assessed the Keepers, Defenders and the Midfielders, it’s finally time to start searching for value up front.

With the aid of our freshly Projections, we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…

    My current team is

    Friedel - Federici
    Williams - Clichy - Ivanovic - Demel - Clyne
    Silva - Lampard - Holman - Maloney - Guthrie
    Aguero - Torres - Graham

2.5m spare for torres -> rooney and lamps -> bale.

My concerns are whether clichy will receive enough game time as I have become aware of city's new 3-5-2 formation where kolarov may be preferred. I'm iffy on Holman due to lambert's rotation policy and the fact that Holman is new to the epl. I wanna upgrade to lescott but It will damage my plans, so I'm seriously considering swapping ivanovic with lescott and swapping clichy to ferdinand than to enrique once liveprool's fixtures look more promising. I'm not sure what to do with Holman, any suggestions on him.

holman is a gamble at 6mil. i think there is better value. I like taarabat if he plays in the hole or dyer from swansea. extra .5 mil you could try michu? pretty good team

Where do you reckon is the best place I could get an extra 0.5 without damaging my team

        Downgrade Federici?
Swap lamps to siggy rather than bale?
        downgrade petric?

The thing is arse spent no money last year and finished 3rd. They've spent big this summer and if they keep RvP are gonna be major threat. T'would be silly not to reap some of that sweet nectar.

The thing about RvP is that his shots are mainly on target, which equals a higher chance of goals.

Not going to happen. Wenger is not so easy to let go; hell he's taking Arshavin to Germany! People had better start factoring him in now. My prediction: City and Arsenal both will put up at least 4 goals GW1 (Citeh 6 against SOT)...and people with McClean in their teams will feel slightly silly.

In my opinion the midfielders rotate too much and no money for Rooney..

Defensively, Vidic for Ivanovic or Lescott?

I have been thinking about Man United players and I can only see that Rooney and Evra are non-gamble players.

The 4.5 mil midfielders are starting to look very interesting. I am tempted by 2 X 4.5mik midfielders to rotate the final midfield spot. I only need one to be playing to have an available option and it allows me to spend more money on other areas. Any thoughts?

    DDG will rotate with Lindegard
    Rafael/Jones are both rotation risks
    Vidic and Ferdinand are brittle
    Nani/Young will rotate
Valencia is an option but will be rested at times and could play right back
Kagawa is a gamble with no Premiership experience

For me I have Rooney in as United coverage. I wanted City/United defensive coverage but I have come to the conclusion that Hart/Lescot is a safer combination than one of each. If they gain an equal number of clean sheets then over the course of a season I won't lose out.

RMT team please if you have any thoughts

    Schwarzer
    Baines / Vidic / Vermaelen
    Bale / Sessegnon / Ramires / Ireland
    Torres / Tevez / Petric

    Ruddy / Guthrie / Fonte / Gunter

    - 2.0m in the kitty for the standard Torres to Rooney transfer.
    - Ramires will eventually become Pienaar/Michu/other form mid prices midfielder.
    - I will be playing Schwarzer every week bar super tough fixtures like GW2 & 6 where Ruddy had OK fixtures to fill in.
    - I have Rooney, Bale & maybe Tevez as captaincy options which i am happy enough with.

I like it. Ballsy but different. The only problem maybe if Aguero goes on the rampage and/or Tevez gets rotated it will be tough to bring him in (I guess you could swap Rooney for him). Your system really relies on your defenders to do well to score big points. Brave but maybe too brave?

        Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah if Aguero became a must have then Rooney would make way. It is quite ballsy but even in my previous draft team I have only spent 2.0m extra in defence which I got from Lamard to Ramires, so the strenght of my front 8 hasn't drastically been reduced.

Also I dont have to worry about getting defender rotation right and should see some regular points from the back in the form of clean sheets or goals/assists/bonus.

Don't rate Ruddy, surely there's other 4,5 keepers that's better? Your defence is what I dream of, but I'll never get there as I'm addicted to big hitters up front. There's also a lack of city coverage, even though Tevez should start the first couple of GW's.

I have to admit I like it, but it's too punty for my taste. Ireland could be golden, but will have to show some form for me to draft him in.

Ruddy seems the best to cover when Fulham have tough fixtures as this is the only time he will play.

I agree, this team comes with its risks, but hopefully I can still be in a position to use transfers to adapt it, I mean I wont need to use transfers on defenders for change of fixtures etc (as long as they remain fit) and will keep players like Rooney/Bale/Tevez long term so I can use transfers to maximise the rest of my forward slots.

        Thanks for the feedback.

Plan is to get Vidic or Baines for Terry and Rooney for Torres. I may ship Lamps for GW 3, maybe bring in a united midfielder or some other.

Very generic, as your aware but in this case that is a good thing as the team looks fairly strong all the way through. I personally dont think McClean will have the season most predict and would rather have Larsson, especially now he is on pens after Bendtner leaving. That is just personal preference tough. The forward line is great.

I assume the 2m is for Rooney? As many will say, Aguero may bite you, but it's a calculated risk with Tevez.

You have really only one consistent performer in the midfield, Noble is new, N'zog was crap last year, Siggy at a new club (though I think he will perform) and Taaraabt was crap last year and has had ramadan. That's where I'd try to improve, maybe N'Zog to McClean or Pienaar.

Disclaimer: I had both N'Zog and Taaraabt for way too long last year, and will not get burnt a second time...

Change Cerny to a keeper with lower ownership. Cherny will drop when the sheep realize Green is playing, while the keepers with low ownership will not drop in value. Try Henderson, he might have a chance of ousting Jussi.

Do I put both in there?

People, you don't need coverage or rotation. You need good players. Did someone have chelsea coverage last season? No. Did you need arsenal coverage last season? No, you needed rvp. There was a time when 3 tottenham players was not overkill. Also, there was a time you didn't need any tottenham players. Don't restrict yourself to this coverage thinking and allow yourself to have as many players from a same team as you want and allow yourself to not have bloat players in your team just because you 'need' players from a certain team and they will come good.

The apparent return of the real Michael Essien this pre-season may actually move Lamps further forward for the first few games. He played the 2nd half behind Torres at Brighton. A lot will depend on Mata's return. Not impossible that we could line up Mata, Lampard and Ramires behind Torres with Mikel and Essien deeper. Hazard may not be ready for prem starts just yet.

So what exactlly does Tottenham's 3-5-2 mean for their defence??

I guess this means that there will be 3 CB's playing, so Walker&BAE have more chances of attacking points, right??

This makes them better picks than Verthongen given they are all the same price??

I can see Nelsen along side Ferdinand in the QPR defence. And I think Jaaskelainen at 4.5 is pretty good considering they have a decent squad with one of the softest opening schedule. For some reason, I have never been a big fan of spending big on a keeper.

He is not the predictable fantasy scorer like Silva or similar. So you could get out of that plan not hurt. I am considering something similar, haven't decided yet
