Who are the best Liverpool players in FPL for their favourable fixtures?

Liverpool have the best run of fixtures over the next eight Gameweeks of Fantasy Premier League (FPL), at least according to our Season Ticker.

The Merseyside derby against Everton on Saturday might be tougher than it looks (more on that below), but with Nottingham Forest and Luton Town to follow, it’s no surprise Liverpool players are under consideration by most FPL managers.

With that in mind, we delve into Jurgen Klopp’s side in this Premium Members article.

LIVERPOOL: THE UNDERLYING NUMBERS SO FAR

FPL notes: Salah's haul, Neto + Hwang, Cash 'out of position'

The late defeat at Tottenham Hotspur and a 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion in Gameweek 8 might have dampened some of Liverpool’s early-season enthusiasm, but it’s generally been a positive start for Jurgen Klopp’s troops.

Yes, they need to address the issue of starting games slowly, but the underlying numbers offer encouragement they can kick on, especially as they have already played Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Spurs and Brighton.

Liverpool rank joint-fourth for goals scored (18) and joint-third for Opta-defined ‘big chances’ (27) in 2023/24 so far. Only Newcastle have a better expected goals (xG) tally than their 16.92, meanwhile.

They have also excelled at set plays, with only Brentford (46), Everton (45) and Manchester City (36) attempting more shots from such situations (35).

  If you're WCing in GW10 you're effectively taking a one week punt? I'd be keen to punt on Foden in your position if it looked like he'll start, will surely be a lot of goals in that game and he has an excellent record against them

  Saka feels like the obvious sale if it’s a one week punt. One of the Liverpool mids or going against the grain and getting in Rashford would be my suggestion as it’s only one week

  Yes good to save. Think Newcastle more chance of clean sheet but can see West Ham scoring v Villa so relying on Cash attacking points- on balance I would start Burn.

Take On The Scout Picks

Hi All,

I'm after challengers from the Community to take on the Scout Picks. If you are interested, email me at will@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with the subject heading “Community Picks”. Please include your FFS username and FPL Team ID.

You need to pick 11 players to challenge the Scout Picks in a one-off head-to-head match.

If chosen, you will have a budget of £83m to select 11 players (no subs) but outside of that standard FPL rules apply - you need to use a normal FPL formation with a limit of three players from a team.

And remember to pick a captain and a vice-captain.

THFC4LIFE managed a 12-point victory in GW8, mainly helped by his decision to captain Salah over the Scout's Son. A good win but it wasn't quite enough to overtake Prophet, who set a 24-point target in GW3.

The manager with the biggest winning margin at the end of the season wins a £100 Amazon voucher and entry to our Mods and Cons League for next season.

The Community have won three of the last four encounters to level the score at 4-4 overall.
