Which option looks better short-medium term?

    3-5-2
    Salah, Bowen, Mitoma, Saka, Maddison
    Haaland, Watkins, 4.5

    3-4-3
    Salah, Bowen, Mitoma, Son, 5.0
    Haaland, Watkins, Alvarez

      3-5-2 for me

Definitely more balanced with Saka in there I think.

I’m normally a 3-5-2 guy but that 3-4-3 looks excellent. With Adingra/Palmer as 5th mid

Ugh I know, I like them both!

Problem with the 3-4-3 is I’d be hiding behind the sofa every time the Ars played.

But Son + Alvarez could definitely outscore Saka + Maddison, and it means I’d get a better bench player too.

I think son and Alvarez outscores Saka and maddy in the shortish term. I don’t have arsenal either. Can’t have ‘em all mate.

            Haha very true!

Nope not WC, just forward thinking my next strategy. Both options would require a -8 from my current position (will spread the moves out).

I'm planning a 3-4-3 but with a different midfield from yours. Palmer as my 5th mid.

      Salah Bowen Maddison Saka
      Alvarez Haaland Watkins

      1. Bleh
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

Strong. I’m 0.5 off that so would need to downgrade someone like Cash/Burn/Udogie in order to afford.

Does City’s fixtures worry you going with the Alvarez/Haaland double up? Also 3-4-3 does seem a lot less flexible right now given the options in midfield vs up front. Let me know your thoughts.

I'm probably holding on to Haaland for gw10+11 and might sell him before the tough fixtures against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

That seems like a good time to go for a change and have a more balanced team.

Tempted to try something different! Go big or go home! Hahaha~

Completely stuck this week some help would be great.
    2FT .02 itb
    Areola
    Cash Gabriel Porrro (Burn,Lampty)
    Son Salah Madders Bowen Diaby
    Alvarez Haaland (Archer)

    A) Archer + Madders>Watkins, go 3/4/3
    B) Alvarez + Son> Watkins+Mitoma
    C) Madders>Martinelli

No Watkins feels risky atm but my team prob better to go without

I’d consider Diaz to Saka, but no Salah is dangerous.I’d probably roll and look to do Diaz and Nunez to get Salah next week (or this week for a hit come to think of it)

Ive been Salah-less since GW1. Would you consider losing Haaland for him at this point? Im thinking its the only way to have a "balanced" team

    Best option here?

    A) Burn & Bruno -> Tsimikas & Saka
    B) Porro & Bruno -> Gabriel & Saka
    C) Diaby & Bruno -> Mitoma & Saka

    Areola
    Trippier, Cash, Porro
    Son, Maddison, Bowen, Diaby, Bruno
    Haaland, Watkins

It’s hard to say without knowing the rest of your team. If you don’t have haaland, but do have Salah, I’d say B. If you have haaland and, but not salah, and I’d say D, and get someone pretty cheap… Maybe a Gabriel or Tsimikas, and then redeploy the funds to get him.

Having Trips and TAA is a lot of money at the back.

      1. b91jh
        • 8 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

Have gone without Haaland and got TAA as a differential on my WC8.

        Areola (Turner)
        TAA Trippier Cash (Porro Taylor)
        Salah Son Maddison Bowen Diaby
        Watkins Alvarez (Archer)

Diaby is the obvious cash cow here but it is impossible to drop before Luton.
Was considering Maddison -> Diaz as well to attack the next two instead of ARS mid.

There were so many options this week but I decided to get rid of L.Diaz and Almiron for Saka and Gordon. Not having Watkins scares me.

    Haaland Alvarez

Hopefully we get some team news but if injured for a -4.

I think it'd be nice if people didn't keep complaining about it over and over. It is what it is and with all the resources already available to people we're seeing more and more convergence team-wise. Price predictions that are completely reliable would make this even more the case.

On FPL Blackbox yesterday, Mark sort of quietly mentioned under his breath that FFFix seems to be more accurate this season than FPL Statistics.

I have only ever really used FPL Stat but maybe worth checking both of them in the future.

I really fancy Martinelli this week. Seems a bit under the radar too. He looks to have come back really sharp and pumped. There must be a risk to Sana’a game time too if they are leading? Cotton wool comes to mind…

If Jesus is out I would avoid Martinelli personally. I mean it's Sheffield Utd so every chance he will do great but he tends to be on the periphery of games when Nketiah is on the field I find

      Everything except Captain Diaby.

Otherwise Excellent team. Pretty close to the 3-4-3- template.

How about Pau Torres or Porro? Struggling with this one. Feel like Porro can do some damage

Udogie is flagged, so I’d probably opt for Lascelles, I’m actually looking to move Udogie on to Tsimi

Can’t believe I’m sticking with Foden and Mbeumo.

Hoping they’ll come good GW11 vs BOU and WHU respectively.

Everyone knows that’s if the masses are selling, you keep!

Fellow WCarders, are we sure Gabriel is gonna start regularly now on? I'm currently on Gabriel + Gordon
But would you for safety have white + Palmer instead on WC?

I’d definitely be going for Gabriel here.

I'd go Gab. Lego head was just pishing around at start of season with Zinc out.

Last season's main back 4 - White, Saliba, Gab, Zinc seems to be first choice now

WC more or less finalised, with this final decision:

    A) Son + Palmer/Adingra
    B) Maddison + Mitoma/Diaby (already have Watkins)

    1. Philosopher's Stones
      • 5 Years

A with Palmer. Son has more explosive potential.

B with Mitoma assuming you have a couple of proper big hitters

Yep, have Haaland, Salah, Saka and Watkins

      I'm on son + Gordon, so I'd say A
