When do the Asians leave for their cup?

    Son, Hee, and Mitoma?

Stupidly I traded Son for Saka a few weeks ago because of fixtures, Maddison's injury and Arsenal being a more dominant club.

3 must haves this season are:
      Haaland - Salah - Son
      Build your teams around them.
      Talismans from each team

The one thing I'd say here is that there are normally so many eyes on Haaland that we'll have an idea next weekend on him. City's social media accounts seem keen on posting images of him in training when they can (including when there have been fitness concerns/worries) and others will be hounding out info on him, so I feel like we might find out something either way before deadline with him compared to someone like Alvarez or Foden

“It’s not a fracture, just a stress on the bone, hopefully can be ready against Crystal Palace, if not then Saudi Arabia. The day after Villa he could almost not walk properly, yesterday I spoke to him saying, “I feel much better, I can walk, I have no pain,” that’s why the doctor said we have to see week by week or day by day how he is.

“We will see. Maybe Crystal Palace [he] is ready, I don’t know… I don’t think so but maybe. We will see.” – Pep Guardiola

FPL Raptor just said on his stream "With the fixtures the way they are for Liverpool I don't think I'd go for Trent". I'm sick of this. People should really stop being so fixated on fixtures (here's a podcast name for ya). Liverpool can score against everyone and keep a clean sheet against everyone. Trent can have a return against everyone and keep a clean sheet against everyone. Fixtures in general have much less weight this season if you haven't noticed yet. The way FPL website decides what fixture is easy (green), even (grey) or hard (red) is ridiculous. You're telling me CHE vs WOL is a green fixture for CHE? or that ARS vs FUL away is green for ARS? no way.

Don’t get me wrong I agree with you and personally think Trent is a good option

    3. Casual Player
      • 5 Years

Yeah there’s a lack of nuance with a lot of fixture analysis. I think the Wire lads do a much better job talking through it with the longer form content. I’m sure there are others as well

But it’s when people talk about bad fixtures for the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool. Like does it matter when you’re a top 3 team? Newcastle currently are poor, but it’s injury/fatigue not fixtures, they will be a great defensive team again in Jan. Spurs will score against anyone, no bad fixtures for Son.

Or on the flipside, a few weeks ago there were folks saying target Forest. This week Wolves and Chelsea have the great run. These are average teams and I’d rather not unless someone really stands out. Palmer I guess is the one player.

Team and a players current form. I'm not saying captain Solanke against Luton I'm saying a run of fixtures is much less meaningful than previous seasons. There is a real race this year and every single team in this league can cause havoc.

The hours with Alvarez knowing the Haaland news I guess. Expected a fat grand 2 pointer so 5 must be deemed as a success. Guess City doesn't get pens when Haaland isn't on the pitch.
Porto lost cs on a late consolation goal was annoying.
Steady going without Haaland. 2m in GW8, now inside 200k, with a lot of injuries and 50/50 calls on midfielder s and defenders going wrong. Like, four weeks punt on Brentford defender because I could vs Luton and Shu. Conceded in both with xgc at 1.07 in both games and they scored fron set piece which I anticipated. But I went Pinnock instead of Mee to save 0.2, which wasn't necessary.

      A very strange Gameweek.
On Saturday evening I was on only 21 points from 5 players, with red arrows in most of my mini-leagues.
With one match to go on Sunday my score had increased to 54 and I was into the top 400k, thanks to clean sheets from Leno and Mykolenko and Salah's promotion to captain.
But in the final match my last two players (Gordon and Trippier) only managed one point between them and I fell back to 569k - still a green arrow from my previous week's rank of 693k though.

I now have three players who will miss next week's matches - Haaland because of his injury, and Trippier and Douglas Luiz because of their fifth yellow cards.
And I'm also now out of the FFS Members Cup.
My last four transfers were partly designed to raise enough funds to bring in Trippier this week, but now I wish I hadn't!

      SMOOTH
Salah (vc) and Adingra 1st sub for Haaland. I like jam. Highest OR of the season despite a very questionable no Saka play 2-3 GWs back.

      ROUGH
You always want more. While I got a nice 69, I did take a first season hit for Doku to Bowen. With his blank I could've had the zero from 2nd sub Schar and been 2 points better off.

      55 points, 3mil > 2.5mil OR.

Smooth: Salah (vc) 😉 and Son. Forgot I still have first wildcard.

Rough: Everyone else, benched Pickers 10 pts and played Onana for 1 pt.

A tiny red arrow - but a red arrow!
      58 (-4) dropping 15 places and still 1K.

      Smooth: TAA, Son, Salah (C)

      Rough: The rest.

Baldock -> Porro last night and Haaland -> Watkins (-4) today!

Finally a smooth! 57 points and an 800k green arrow after dropping from 1.6m in GW7 to 5.5m! I've had the most horrendous run of luck and feel this week it finally tipped in my favour.

Smooth; Son(vc) for Haaland(c). Palmer and Turner subbing for Areola and Haaland. At least I got a keeper out. Alvarez, Branthwaite returning too.

Rough; Haaland out, Bruno banned, Branthwaite banned, on top of Baldock and Areola injured and Turner a doubt I don't know how I'll get XI out this week with one FT.

      -8 taken:

Sold Turner, Gusto, Mbeumo & Chukwuemeka

Bought Dubravka, Tsimikas, Palmer & Gordon

Dubravka scored a point less than Turner, who made a rare start. And the other three I bought only scored 5 points more than the three non-players they replaced.

Mbeumo, Son and Tuner out for -4 to bring in Palmer, Sterling and Dubravka. VC on Gordon. One of the most depressing weeks in FPL I have had for a long time.

    Best option for next week?

    A) play Tsimikas
    B) play TAA for a -4
    C) Play Porro for a -4

Do we think Cash starts the next 2 or even just 18?

I’m assuming he’s lost his place but may start him gw18 in pure hope

Difficult to say. Emery may setup to be more attacking against SHU and start Cash over Konsa at RB

Might do Haaland to Watkins. Just have no idea who to bench next week!

Watkins rising tonight is tempting me into doing the Haaland to him transfers
