    Saka | Salah | Gordon | Bowen | Diaby

Diaby > Son for a -4? is it worth it?

          Gordon away.

Solanke or Watkins depending on fixtures.

          Alvarez in gw18.

This GW would be a benching nightmare, would probs be watkins/Alvarez

it's a nice problem to have tho.

              I don't mind it myself.

              Great team btw.

    Pick one:

    A: Trippier + Bowen -> Lascelles + Son (-4)
    B: Haaland + Palmer -> Alvarez + Son (-4)
    C: Cash -> Udogie (FT)

If you had the template midfield and up to £7.8m to replace Gordon, would you?

    Is Bowen the answer there?

It's hard to see who is better. Kulu?

    Is Saka also a hold?

    Salah, Son, Saka, Gordon, Palmer.

    Cheers

I'd probably hold Gordon and be prepared to shift Palmer when he gets a YC.

I've got some value built up in all of them but Palmer is the recent addition.

I can go to 7.3m from him to Pascal Groß for their fixture swing in gw18.

Richarlison/Kulusevski? I do really like the look of Kulu as 10 but if Richarlison is going to be spearheading Spurs attack and is 'back' fitness & confidence-wise he's going to get a lot of chances

I've never had Richarlison in my side ...

first time for everything but he's a swerve for me for now.
        Maybe in Jan for Son?

What order of preference would you put on these defenders as short term punts (it's draft league so I'm not spending transfers). Short term punts, max 2 week view really:

    1: Mykolenko (EVE)
    2: Pau Torres (AV)
    3: Senesi (BOU)
    4: Udogie (TOT)
    5: Zabarnyi (BOU)

Got Porro in before the price rise last night. Planning to do Haaland > Watkins or Solanke for a -4 later in the week if the noises suggest Haaland will miss Palace. Sound ok?

    Areola
    Porro - Saliba - Tsimi
    Salah - Gordon - Bowen - Son - Palmer
    Haaland - Alvarez

    Turner - Archer - Trippier - Taylor

I'm just looking at parking a 3.9m on the bench.

he's playing and is my Gusto replacement...

intend to play 3-4-3 for context.

Just sold Gabriel but he's still 4.9m.

Sat in my team all season.

That leak and his benchings stymied his price which is okay tbf

Newcastle actively pushing for new goalkeeper in January

    - Dubravka nursing hidden shoulder injury
    - Seven goals conceded in the last two games
    - Assessing all available options

There's alot of "hidden" or "unmentioned" injuries this season. Can't remember a season where managers lied/hid so much info about their players.

      1. boc610
        • 13 Years

lying is a stretch.. its just because you play fpl that you feel your entitled to be told everything. they withhold info because it would allow a team to prep for a player missing from the other team. if luton knew erling was defo out they would have just watched tapes of alavarez all week when he played up top on his own.

Oh I know, I thought that to myself while writing this. It is a very selfish feeling us FPL players have.

But still, can't remember a season where it has been this much of these kind of problems. Even during covid season, we had the info we needed.

can anyone find me the smallest violin in the world for Newcastle's injury problems? im sure their owners aka an entire country will be able to help them out in the jan transfer window

        • 7 Years

Tbf, they are the only team in PL with injuries to their players, specially important players. No other team has struggled like they have.

do you not think a manager should front some blame for that to? its not just scheduling. look at training methods, conditioning, is a player training to hard not enough etc. most of them are all muscle injuries. it cant all just be bad luck

I was sarcastic tbh haha.. agreeing with you. Should have mentioned it maybe. Seen plenty of Newcastle fans using it as an excuse, like they (as mentioned) only team with these problems.

But I also agree what you say here, Howe hasn't been that smart with his rotation it seems.

I am sitting in 15/20th position in my Mini league

Watkins is probably increasing in price today and haaland might drop in price before the deadline so that is at least 0.2 difference in team value

So is it worth a risk to gain some ranks as i am doing poorly anyways to make the transfer today instead of waiting till the deadline

    Haaland to watkins today
Save ft next week and bench alvarez(only player blanking)
    Watkins to Haaland after that

    Thanks

Depends how highly owned Watkins is in your ML

If Haaland is out, literally every serious player will buy Watkins.

I wouldn't do the transfer 'til Friday though, unless the 0.2m affects your planned transfers.
