Merry Christmas from Fantasy Football Scout

Everyone at Fantasy Football Scout would like to wish a very happy and healthy Christmas to all our readers and their loved ones.

We hope that you’re enjoying the festivities – at least, as much as a relentless Fantasy Premier League (FPL) schedule allows.

We can’t completely ignore the looming FPL deadline, of course, given that there’s a very swift turnaround between Gameweeks.

And we’ve got more Gameweek 19 articles to come today, from Captain Sensible to Scout Picks.

There’ll be a team news round-up later in the evening, too.

Until then, we’d like to extend a huge thank you for your continued support and patronage of the site throughout 2023.

There’ll be a more prolonged retrospective in the traditional New Year’s message but, from all at Fantasy Football Scout, we wish you a very merry Christmas.

    Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the advises! Even the bad one.
Now, keep Hwang or get Gross? Brighton need to rise up!

Hwang needs to go, Neto’s injury has impacted his output massively. Plus off to Asia Cup. Gross more routes to point going forward via set pieces. Had Hwang myself and finally got rid last gw.

Merry Christmas ! 48% seems generous to Arsenal considering how poor Zinchenko has been lately and how good kudus and Bowen are

Like you I think we will score, even though Arsenal are ranked as the best defence in the League!

Zinchenko could be dropped for Timber? Just saw a post on Twitter where he was saying he was back, but maybe doesn't start as it will be his first game back after his injury...

I doubt they take many bets directly on the clean sheets. I also doubt they take much in the way of direct match bets when the odds are correspondingly short. I think it is more in the way of accumulator busters that bookies benefit from weeks like gw 18.

Merry Christmas to you too Neale and your team at FFS. Thanks for all the great work throughout the year.
I for one, would not begrudge you and your team having the day off - any new articles could be done tomorrow - spend time with your families and enjoy the day would be my recommendation.

Team feels a bit low scoring for this week. Would you roll the transfer with the team below. IFT and 7.2 ITB.

    Dubravka
    Gabriel | Porro | Pau | Konsa
    Saka | Salah | Son | Gordon
    Watkins | Solanke

    Areola / Branthwaite / Mubama / Palmer

It's because I have possibly 2 Villa defenders and I think they will concede. If Pau does not play I have Branthwaite against City.

We have exactly 700 lollygaggers… opps, jousters in the great Hall of Shame Tourney! And of those 700, only two bested me this gameweek, Noddy Fishwick on 69pts and Where’s Jeff-C on 70pts (where is Jeff btw? If any mods keep in touch with him please extend mine kind regards and pass on this secret coded message - B84jwh). Outstanding work both of you, you have both earned yourselves Dukedoms! Noddy Fishwick is heretherto to be known as the Duke of Batemans Bay! Where’s Jeff- C shall be known as the Grand Duke of Wooloomooloo! Congratulations to both!

    Dubravka
    TAA | Trippier | Gabriel
    Salah | Son | Richarlison | Saka
    Alvarez | Watkins | Solanke

    Sanchez | Udogie | Baldock | Palmer

Bench is OK? Palmer slightly eased the situation, but still have a feeling that both Udogie and Baldock can be handed a place in XI

I studied post haul results. Usually you get a dramatic little blank the following week. Look at Son's last 17er followed by 2 on nice game, But no points. One game should not effect decisions in other games, except that hatricks are rare.

Son's 20 on Burnley with 2 on SHU

Watkins' 23 on BHA with 5 on Wolves.

Salah hauled near continuously on his 300 point season. Marquee player doing marquee things.

Yeah Solanke vs Fulham looks kind of nice. I remember Wilson got a hatrick for Bournemouth a few years ago

    3. Not again Shirley
      • 7 Years
      4 months, 10 days ago

Only thing I would say about that is that it is quite rare for a player to backup a hat trick with another haul. Yes could happen but in experience it happens less often. Good luck though.

Richarlison is a good shout. With Son going away he will get the game time and Big Ange knows only one way to play. I went Kulu but think it might have been the wrong choice out the 2 in hindsight

      (Areola, Palmer*, Maguire*, Tsimikas*)

      A) Save FT (hope everyone starts!)
      B) Tsimikas -> TAA (will need 2 transfers to get Haaland back (may need to do Son -> Richarlison early)
      C) Hwang -> Richarlison (Hwang plays but off-form)
      D) Tsimikas/Maguire -> Mengi (shu this week and saves more $ - not many exciting options in DEF)

      Cheers

See have a prob he's holding Haaland spot. Have Watkins and Solanke and keeping them.

Look below I suggested making that Son move to raise the cash needed for haaland.have 2fts Also rival ahead has Son too so making no gains there

Ok understand the context. I suggested below Johnson could be the one to get.

You could take a one week punt by replacing Darwin. Not too many recommendations beyond what you already have - maybe Nkunku, Wilson or Jesus.

      Richarlson or Kulu?

Can downgrade Son now to raise cash for Haaland after Everton.

      Have 2fts

I would like to wish the FF Scout crew a great festive season. In particular Neale who has supported us with real worthwhile content I have seen a few get older, wiser and stronger this year and I hope all the community supports each other going forward, Just take time to think what you post, having the feelings of others in mind. Social media brings many positives but the negatives must be avoided.
      Cheers everyone.
