100 points in 18 games for Saka. So if he did that again in the second half of the season, he’d score over 200 points. Started as an £8.5m asset

What’s the noise for? By all means sell him if you so wish

Nah, I’ve considered it recently but the good fixtures are rolling in and last nights performance was exciting from Saka, should have scored 2-3

He’ll be in my team all season barring an injury. He’s also the best Arsenal attacker to own

Similar pts to Bowen, Chan, Gordon, all cost a fraction of his price. Not to mention Solanke and Alvarez up front. Also he got 202 pts last season but was only an 8m mid. He's not worth his price tag but money is unlikely to be an issue in January

8 points from his last 4 though and if you forget the price there is better value in the game currently.

Also no guarantee he is on penalties with them being shared so far this season and over half of Arsenals goals are from penalties and set pieces too.

Personally think he’s the only way into Arsenal attack. Odegaard is not the asset of last season, nor is Martinelli and it turns out Jesus can’t score

I think I'll wait for this nice run of fixtures tbh. But I won't be getting sentimental this season.

Watkins, Saka are both in line for a chop.

Can’t sell either of those. Both season keepers. I want to captain Saka against Palace in 21 (I did that last season and he got me a nice 36 point haul hehe)

It's about getting the player for the right patch of games though. If you'd gone without the last four or five weeks you'd probably been better off. But that's not a reason to sell now, when he enters a run of fixture that looks good.
Havertz is the one if you want another route, either beside or instead of.

Cheap midfielders looking better for value.

One would expect Saka to be as explosive as the premium midfielders given he plays for Arsenal. His returns against the so called small clubs were poor. He ain’t doing enough & an easy sell for me.

Decent chance to improve rank due to his ownership knowing fully well, he struggles to explode.

      Saka:
      GW 01-05 = 31 points
      GW 06-10 = 33 points
      GW 11-15 = 28 points
      GW 16-19 = 8 points

When you look at last 10 vs first 10, it's falling, then it's falling again if you look at last 5...

It's not awful but has fallen off quite a bit, especially when compared to players cheaper than him & those comparable to him (Son).

He's scored 1 goal since I sold him back in GW7. 1 goal!

I definitely agree his form since that small injury has been worrying

    Trippier, TAA, Porro, Lascelles, Taylor,
    Salah, Son, Palmer, Gordon, Garnacho,
    Alvarez, Darwin, Watkins

    2FTs
I'm thinking Lascelles, Gordon to Estupinan, Bowen. Gtg or is the keeper situation more of a priority to sort?

Any more concrete news on when Kudus has to go to AFCON? I am reading conflicting things. This tweet says that the Ghana squad are meeting in South Africa on the 31st December which implies kudus could miss Brighton but some say we are not obligated to let him go until after the game. Anyone know how this works for sure?

More concrete info for kudus owners:

The training camp is now happening starting the 2nd January in Ghana instead of in South Africa on the 31st so it is likely to accommodate kudus playing Vs Brighton then flying over after

Palmer. It's a risk since he is on pens, but Luton is not a gane Chelsea like ti play. Half way through the season we now learned that Luton home is not an easy fixture. Short turn around for Chelsea too.
Solanke is for me closer ri captaincy than bench. Spurs defence is among the bottom three last six. Boy attack is the best last six.
Bowen is so predictable and steady I wouldn't bench. Dunk out for Brighton.

    Morning community.

    Son - Saka - Odegaard - Foden - Palmer
    Watkins - Solanke - Alvarez

    Who would you:

    1) Captain
    2) Bench

Any rationale as to why would be greatly appreciated.

Tough choice - probably Palmer for me as Luton at home have been good recently. Plus the pitch size and the smaller amount of away fans make that the hardest fixture out of your 8

      1) Not sure myself. Perhaps go Foden or Alvarez. Watkins even, but can't be trusted either!

      2) Probably bench Palmer or even Saka out of that lot. Odegaard is a little tempting too but know you won't do that given you just transferred in. Or hope Son and Spurs have a stinker?

Some RMTs due say to bench Solanke but I feel that's dangerous with this EO and Spurs defense right now.

My current bench thinking is Bowen. Consistent - but playing a Brighton at home that looked great against Spurs. Doesn’t tend to double digit haul so less risk of a crazy score. But I’m also flirting with benching Palmer.

Very tough, wouldn’t want to be in the position of benching any. Would say captain Son and bench Solanke (if you see Spurs fixing up and keeping Bournemouth out), Palmer (if you trust Luton more than Chelsea) or Saka (wasteful and less central than Ode).

Bench Palmer due to Chelsea away form / Luton now looking like a tricky fixture. Definitely not Solanke.

Wouldn't burn the transfer, the Son move will have to be made next week if not this week which is why you should just do it now.

That's my thinking albeit I'd still have 2 FTs next week...

But this does give me one extra in my pocket.

Fwiw, I am keeping Son this week with other things to address. But really tempted by a move to Foden too. Feel like City's performance in the 2nd half against Everton was suggestive of a team getting back to its high levels

They looked like they had fire in their bellies.

Maybe the mini break helped Pep work with them into a new mode?

Could well be. They definitely pressed and counter-pressed better than in some previous games. But from what I saw, the major difference in possession was the freedom afforded to Foden in central areas. He's good when the game runs through him, isn't he?

Let's be honest. Son is more constant than Foden and on penalties. I like the move but just not this gameweek...

Any thoughts here? 2 fts & 5.3 itb.

Boring transfer would be Onana in for his good run of games.

    Current team:

    Dubravka
    Saliba Gabriel Porro
    Saka Salah Son Palmer
    Nunez Watkins Solanke

    Subs: Turner, Taylor, Lascelles, Gordon

    1. Saka White Rice

Can't go Saka away. Spurs a bit injury hit. So it's Salah or Alvarez(c) this week for me.

Given Alvarez has a two day rest, and Salah five, I'm going Salah. That Toon defence looks awful, plus my ML leader doesn't have Salah. I've narrowed the gap from 130 to 90 so a Salah haul would reel me back in a bit more.

Anyone considering just benching Son? Have 0.5m tied up right now, but is he likely to fall a lot?

    Will sell Salah next week

I'm 90% selling him this week for Foden, then I'll deal with Salah next week. Keeping either is not an option for me regardless of money tied up - points are more important

You get 0.2 profit banked so unlikely to lose much if any selling as a drop of 0/3 or more seems likely.

More to the point though that is a lot of money sat on the bench although I accept with Salah and Son out it almost hard to find places to spend it.

I have 0.9 profit though and I wil sell him.

With 45% ownership of course he's going to drop. But which heavy hitter are you going to get with his money?
Haaland? KDB? Salah? You might not need the money so not necessarily a stupid question.

Also depends how many AFCON/Asia Cup players you have.

I still have Son, Salah, Kudus, Hwang; just got rid of Adingra.

Lots of good options this week but benching or selling Son before Bournemouth home might turn out to be a mistake. His record v Bournemouth is excellent

    G2g? 4.6 itb

    Turner

    Dubravka Gordon Cash Taylor

Walker - Gabriel - Pedro Porro - Pau
    Son (VC) - Saka - Salah (C)
    J.Alvarez - Solanke - Watkins

    Bench: Dubravka, Palmer, Gusto, Andreas
    £1.7 ITB, 2 FT

Hi guys, originally planned to do Alvarez/Solanke+Salah to Halaand+mid.
Now I don't know what to do with 2FTs, and also bench dilemma.

Was all set on saving my FT but going Udogie over Porro in GW7 has become too much.

Udogie to Porro for free and G2G? Bench order is impossible!

      Colwill.
Rotation risk. Little attacking threat even at full back. Ball watching for the Palace goal.

Gusto did well at LB and Disasi can play RB. Although Gusto more potent at RB.

Palmer but I'm a Forest fan.

Luton may be a tricky game but tends to be high scoring. Forest still have a defence this week before they leave to their respective nations.

Going for Alvarez or Foden is just a structural decision because not much separate the two. I think they're both equally nailed? Maybe Alvarez on pens edges it I guess

Alvarez an easier swap for Haaland when he returns in April.
