I’m trying to plan this GW with one eye on GW 24. Ive been scuppered somewhat by the number of injuries, so just to field 11 players I’m bringing Estupian in, which creates the “money on the bench” issue below.

How does this team look for GW24?

    Turner / Dubraka

    TAA, Porro, Estupian, Gabriel, Taylor

    Salah, Richarlison, Foden, Palmer, Garnacho

    Haaland, Solanke, Watson

Team gives week to week flexibility, in that I can go from 433 or 343. Downsides are that I’ll have a lot of money on the bench and with 3 big forwards there’s an argument I won’t have the better value midfield players.

This isn’t a Wildcard team, so I’m trying to focus my transfers on important moves:

    - 21, Salah, Lascelles -> Richarlison, Estupian (£11.3 itb, -4)
    - 22, Archer -> Haaland (1 itb)
    - 23 roll transfer
    - 24 Bowen, Saka -> Salah, Garnacho (0.2itb)

    Would love some thoughts !

      GW24 looks lovely.
Always remember when you make multiple GW transfer plans the FPL gods laugh. If you get flags you are guaranteeing more hits to get to this team.

        Strong advice.

I also haven’t factored in losing money on Salah and buying him back for more, so I already can’t afford!

As I say, injuries are pushing me down a path now, which will either mean a team with a “too strong a bench” or lots of hits…

Wouldn’t worry about money on the bench, many people myself include with 10m+ ITB right now.

I think you could downgrade Gabriel to a 4.0 if that closes the gap.
Would get you to a lovely XI but a bit flaky on the bench.

Nothing special, couple of shots from distance. Came to life when Nunez came on. Which tells the story, Nunez is nailed, Diaz likewise. Jota will start games, but will also get cameos for half hour a lot of time. Even when Salah is in Afcon.

Firstly: if Liverpool goes to Carabao cup final, which is likely, they'll have a blank in Gw26, as that's when the final is.
Liverpool are also in fourth round of FA cup, and if they go further, which also very likely, the game in 26, then probably will be put forward into gw25.
Chelsea and Spurs could also blank in 26 if Chelsea goes to the final vs Liverpool. That game is more difficult to predict where it lands.
Then the game vs City and Brentford which were postponed due to City playing in World Championship, is thought to also be rescheduled in 25. But it could be in 28 as well.
The FA cup sixth round is played in the same week as GW29. Those teams that plays FA cup that weekend will have a blank that weekend, so will of course the teams involved in the blank games also blank.
This will give ramifications for further Dgws in 34, blank in 34, and she in 37.
Not sure I explained it well..

Lots seem to be wildcarding. No one using Free Hit? I contemplated it to wipe my stupid Salah to Bowen move and to give me a strong XI this week, a week when lots are taking hits. I'd reassess the likes of TAA amd Bowen next week.

I don't think I'll do it, but I'm surprised more aren't contemplating it.

Not sure if Bowen or Lascelles will play. Already did Salah, Pau > Foden, Estu so this would be for a -4.

I’m having a great season and just gonna carry on doing what I think is right, I see no reason to keep him, his good run starts from GW 24 anyway, and his injury is actually a blessing in disguise as can now use him as the cash cow to grab Haaland and retain Salah

So Im planning to sell Son to Gross which gives me funds to get Estu in for fodder and bench Trent and Salah for this GW.

As next deadline is 3 weeks away and we'll get proper updates on how Trent's injury is and How Mo and Egypt are looking can delay the decision on them till then.

Would mean no bench this week unless Taylor is fit and would have to sell one of them to get Haaland in next week, which would need a hit.

I could also just do the Son move, if Taylor is fit and start him and save 2nd FT to get Haaland in next week.

What do you guys think ?

    Is this GTG?

Salah, Son, Pau > Saka, Foden, Estu (-4) done.
Enough ITB for Alvarez > Haaland next week.

    Areola
    Porro, Saliba, Estu
    Saka, Foden, Gordon, Palmer
    Watkins, Alvarez, Darwin

    (Dubravka, Lascelles, Bowen*, TAA*)

Maybe play Bowen over Darwin, just in case

Thanks! I reckon Darwin might do well. Looked lively when he came on today and had two assists. Will probably go Bowen first sub though.

I just pulled the trigger on Son > Saka a few mins ago. Think Arsenal will react to their recent slump and expect Saka to be involved.

Don't need the dollars but think Gross can outscore Saka in next 4 gw, before Son comes back

    2 free and 1.5 itb

    areola
    trippier, poroo, gabriel
    saka, gordon, palmer, (son)
    watkins, solanke, archer
    (dubrav, pau, trent, salah)

big question for me is does archer and/or pau play. if so Im willing to go son --> gros and roll the second, but at the same time, starting arch kinda scares me. what would you guys do with this setup?

What are you saving it for? Just have enough itb for Haaland in GW22

only way to do that is salah/trent to foden/estup. but I kinda want to hang onto salah

Why do folk seem to think Lascelles won't play this week. I thought he was back to fitness after being brought on at the end of the last match?

Botman and Schar are first choice

Oh that's annoying. I thought Lascelles was the captain!?

he is club captain but is no longer a starter back to being 3rd choice CB

He is I think but still not 1st choice usually. I have him too and will probably take him out this week.

Botman and Schar are both fit so difficult to see why they’d play Lascelles unless you know something we don’t

I guess depends how much money you got wrapped up in them, & how long you think Salah & Bowen are going to be away for
