Have Richarlison and Watkins, but since I didn't captain either of them, and their EOs are so high, and my defenders are addicted to 1 pointers... probably still going to be a red arrow.

My current rank is around 1.6m - Richarlison gained me 11.27 points

He gained me lots of points too, but doubt it will be enough to carry Dubravka, Porro, and Estupinan if the likes of KDB and Alvarez haul.

    Areola
    Pedro Porro, Saliba, Gabriel
    Saka, Foden, Richarlison, Palmer
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    Dubravka; Gross, Gusto, Taylor.

    2 FTs 5.8 ITB

Want to get a Liverpool player in this week but I'm quite happy with my front 8. TAA in looks like the play for me yeah?

Yes although I would be mindful of the blank in 26.

Set on Areola (Ars H) ahead of Dubravka (Nfo A)? Aware the latter just conceded 4 vs Luton but still think I prefer him

Yeah, Saliba to Trent looks good. Only concerns are that it would give you a 4th blanking player in 26, and will make Salah harder to get back (if you want him).

My plans? I plan to have Jota and Darwin for gameweek 25 (in for Palmer and Alvarez), three City players in gameweek 25 (Haaland, Foden, Kdb), maybe I will do Solanke to Toney. I will have Richarlison, Jota and Darwin on the bench, but all of my other players feature in gameweek 26.

Another good GW, may have a good finish yet. How would you bring in Jota for this team?

    Leno (Areola)
    TAA Porro Doughty (Branthwaite Maguire)
    KDB Richarlison Foden Palmer (Gordon)
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    0.9 itb

Initial plans were taking out Richarlison or Watkins, but doesn’t look like losing them is a good idea with the form they find themselves in, only other option is downgrading TAA. What would you choose?

    A) TAA -> Trippier this GW and Gordon -> Jota next GW
    B) TAA + Gordon -> Trippier + Jota this GW (-4)
    C) Roll and make a double transfer next GW
    D) Pick another downgrade (which?)
    E) Not worth getting Jota

    Cheers!

False. I've had Richa for a long time. He's been playing 9 before Son left for Asian Cup. Son played on the left and would return to replace Werner.

More competition for places in the front four now with Werner in and Maddison back. Kulu started on the bench today.
Son, Richarlison, Johnson, Kulu, Maddison, Werner, Gil, Scarlett.
Can probably discount the last two but food for thought.

Right, here we go, my once every 6 months post.

Mark Sutherns is a not your run of the mill clown on YouTube, Twitter, this that the other

He is the guy thay used write the preamble. He is in my humble view pretty much a good %age of the fun of FPL because he was there from day one, and because to this day he is the same slighlty nerdy family man genuine bloke who is (kinda annoyingly like in a matey way) VERY good at the game

Get off the guys back yeah. Walker-gate is, in a word, pathetic and the worst kind of modern over reaction

To balance this, kinda mad that someone so clearly educated and - i dunno, normal? is allowing Twitter to do his head in. Get back on BlackBox lad!!!

          Social media is a cesspit

Brings out the worst in everyone.

The joy of the preamble was knowing you weren’t alone in your weird obsession with fictional football points. What a legend

Never cared for it. No real info.

Mark’s gift is seeing through the narrative. Tougher to do when you are the narrative I guess.

That said, all the people whining about fairness need to stop acting like 9 year olds and focus on themselves.

He’s being a crybaby to be honest. How can you be so affected by social media is beyond me. Looking at his tweets, pretty clear he was being a bit sly about it. He tried to club in some off-field stuff about Walker in with the leaks and tried to pretend a mix of all of it made him bench Walker. He is a meticulous planner, so he’s not getting Walker in the first place if there’s off-field stuff. I didn’t leave any comment or anything but my take is he got the leak, was short on time, and just benched Walker. When he got asked about it, he tried to lie and cover it up. I think a slight embarrassment at being caught lying played its part in him quitting as well.

Not actually looked into it in the detail you clearly have, just that tweet that as a non Twitter person is visible.

But come on he aint "sly" at all surely you know that? Its Kyle Walker not bloody KDB or Haaland!

            • 11 Years
            1 year, 10 months ago

Yeah, i just meant on this occasion. As i said he just probably didn’t have time to do anything but bench Walker. When asked he came up with a weird tweet. That was what i referred to as sly. We all sometimes cover things up for no reason and I think that’s what happened here. Again just my opinion and I don’t care about Twitter enough to even post there. I do lurk though 🙂

Fair enough, fair comment and all that

Just kinda does my head in he is being clearly affected by a huge over reaction

For what its worth I take his tweet as it was posted, yep no doubt a few of those guys are privy to ITK updates, but with it being linked to Walker and a pretty horrible off field situation they probs thought - AVOID - and the few of them that had him yes benched him.

              cheers for the response Fedolefan

I made the same move this week too. My options were Watkins to Haaland this week of Solanke to Haaland next week, I’ve the armband on Solanke this week so made the Watkins move! Grrr!! Didn’t expect Villa to get 5, I assumed Wilder would have kept it tight and frustrated Villa, who was wrong!! Haha so annoying

Watkins owner / no Haaland here, City fan also. Have gone KDB captain and I think Haaland will be a sub on Monday - but I dont know for certain and if he does start i honesly would consider swapping my Watkins points pre kick off

Hard as it is you just gotta now stick with Haaland and forget Watkins. In the long run Haaland will defo score more points this season look at it that way maybe?

Imo these 5 games can have 19 goals the following way:
    Chelsea 2-1 Wolves
    Bournemouth 2-2 Forest
    Man Utd 3-1 West Ham
    Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal
    Brentford 1-3 Man City
